I'd build it out of half inch plates of tool steel like a real man
If I could build my own computer case, I think I'd build the entire thing out of brushed aluminum, maybe with large glass panels. Or maybe make the whole thing out of glass, tinted glass panels, except for whatever fittings you absolutely need to make it work.
I really like my aluminum and acrylic case. It does what I want perfectly. Light, absolutely quality construction, and an extremely clean, squared off design. Only cost me $500 :v:
[editline]7th July 2015[/editline]
Also I kinda built it myself? Almost every piece of the case had 3-6 options, and I assembled it when it got here.
Man, this is annoying. I bought a GTX980 at Fry's Electronics, partly because they offered the Witcher 3 promo deal. After I already checked out the guy tells me I have to go back to the GPU counter to redeem the game, so I do, only to find they don't actually give you codes then and there but write your email and order number on a piece of paper and send it to nVidia via email, who then emails you your code. They told me the thing would be sent by today and I've still gotten nothing and no confirmation either. I'm starting to get the feeling the sales rep tried to fleece me out of my code or something, the entire thing sounds totally ridiculous and I can't find any confirmation of anything like this taking place anywhere else online. Nobody picks up the phone at the store either, so if I want to figure it out I have to actually drive 30 minutes to the place lol.

Pretty sure everyone had to do this. regardless of where they bought it.

For this specific promotion or in general? I thought it was standard procedure to just include the code either in the box or hand them out from behind the counter (or even print on the receipt). Maybe I'm just being paranoid because I'm tired, either way it's an annoying process.

For the witcher 3 and arkham knight promotion. I think it has you email Nvidia and get sent a code.

I don't think you're supposed to email them yourself, I don't see any mention of that anywhere on the promo page. What I do notice is that the nVidia site says the promotion is now over, which makes me wonder if I'm going to be out of a code thanks to this stupid email process.
Since it cannot ever be a disadvantage to be able to see more, even if the only cases where it is an advantage are rare and contrived (and I can contrive quite a few), it is on the whole an advantage. If you already have a 16:9 screen, it thus makes no sense to run it at 4:3. Likewise for 21:9 - I wouldn't expect the advantage to be worth going out to buy such a screen, but if you have one, running it at native aspect would be the only rational choice.
Doubles avocado for a moment here. Past a certain point you just stop giving a shit about what's on your peripheral vision. I remember reading some studies where they strapped some weird goggles to people's heads that gave them like 220 degree vision or something ridiculous, and within days their brains had recalibrated and they essentially ignored anything that was behind them.
Literally mental tunnel vision, and that meant they had reduced 'resolution' for the stuff they were focusing on.
Obviously things aren't as extreme in csgo, so it's a moot point, but your point here isn't technically 100% correct.

Sorry, I didn't mean you email them. I just meant I heard a few people for a while talking about it being an email based promotion.
My conclusion: Don't believe the hype about the "need" for 2 megapixel cameras. For e-mail, web, and smaller prints, the Mavica 83 occupies a great "sweet spot:" it combines many higher-end features with superior ease-of-use, convenience, and optics.
Still not sure how my Razer Lachesis is working perfectly fine after 6-7 years, my brother got one shortly after and it and the replacement died in a month. Then again my Seagate hard drives have never failed either, maybe I'm just magic.

It happens.
I have an 80GB IBM Deskstar in one of my PC's. It's working fine. It just makes... odd... noises on boot.
The sooner we get rid of flash the better, I just hope that Shumway thing turns out alright. Got one or two flash games that I would like to revisit in a few years.
I don't know why, but when I look at the file icon for a JavaScript file it looks like I'm gonna be sold something sketchy.
Please tell how. My hackintosh is pretty much 100% working but I can't for the life of me figure out how to dual boot on one ssd.
if you're installing Windows 8 and later, it should be fairly straight forward. Windows 7 and under needs some special tweak done which I don't have on hand. this was done using Clover, so if you're using something else or your system isn't UEFI, then this probably won't work
in disk utility in OS X, shrink your hackintosh partition and make a new partition which will house Windows. make sure it's formatted as Mac OS Extended Journaled, not FAT else your drive becomes GPT/MBR hybrid which won't work when installing Windows as it needs to be 100% GPT.
once that's done, make a bootable USB with GParted. boot into it and format the Windows partition you made into NTFS.
after that, make a bootable USB for Windows and install Windows on the partition you made. it should let you proceed, and once thats done, you should have a functioning multi boot system! just make sure to change UEFI Boot priority to Clover so you can switch between the OS' on boot
