Ive got a couple extra inputs on my mouse that would work, but I can't install anything on my work computer to configure them.
My mouse has flash memory inside that saves the macros I use on it.
Maybe you could bring the mouse home, configure it and then use it at work?
What mouse?
a4tech x7 something.

My god, at first this was basically just an annoyance but it's now getting on my nerves on a daily basis.
So, I have my GTX770 connected to my pc screen through DVI and to my TV through Hdmi, standard shit... If I turn off the TV and keep using the PC and eventually have to turn on the TV, both screens black out, then I finally get video back on the PC screen but most of the windows have gone over to the TV.
I remember reading there's a pin somewhere on the hdmi plug that can be covered to disable this, but I can't for the life of me find that now and I won't fiddle with it any further without knowing what I'm doing.
Both screens are set to have the same refresh rate and resolution too, before anyone asks.
I just upgraded to a new gaming rig and now my external hard drive (where Steam is located) won't get recognized by it. It just lists it as an unknown device and when I try installing drivers automatically, it asks me to restart, but then nothing would happen.
go into the disk manager and see if you can mount it in there
i can't
run memory diagnostic in windows
"Open Memory Diagnostics Tool by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Memory, and then click Diagnose your computer's memory problems.• Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation."
don't ask me why it works, it just does

Also, TIL: nodelists aren't arrays. You can't iterate over them directly because it would literally break the browser.

birdmans is a lot longer. it takes up literally an entire screen on a 1080p monitor.

I impulse-bought a Pockethernet today at work when they emailed me saying they did another run of them. I was really tempted to get one when the original Indiegogo thing was up, but I passed because I didn't have the money.
Maybe ten minutes after I did that, my boss walks in all excited telling me to check out what he just bought. I guess he got the same email that I did, heh.
I really need one of those.
Ok I'm trying to figure out my best bet to make sure I get a legit copy of windows 10 when the time rolls around with the least amount of hassle
I'm currently on Windows 7 Enterprise (not eligible for upgrade), and I have a Win7 OEM key tied to a different motherboard somewhere which I could hypothetically finagle onto the computer, which would then be eligible for the free upgrade.
I've also heard that if you're using the Win10 preview you just get a free legit copy of it? Would it be a better course of action to reformat (uuugh, unless I can upgrade directly to the preview) and just use that?
It looks very close to what I need at work and home. There are a few software things that they could add that would make it perfect, like being able to test VLANs and most importantly: PPPoE connections. If a little light could come on when it successfully logs onto our PPPoE server using my credentials, I would be so happy. Testing CPEs would be much less trouble than lugging around my 15.6" Dell Latitude, especially in bad weather.
Why is it so difficult to find a different cord that will fit this Bose headphone?
I need a low-profile 2.5mm male to 3.5mm male audio cable. The cord I bought was too big (low profile 3.5mm male both ends) so I'm gonna return that tomorrow. Looking at the Sennheiser 598 cord, it seems to be one I need. I just want to use my headphones with the soundcard... Why doesn't bose offer a non-inline-remote variant of their cord?
Well Maya is dead and with it dies any 3D career I may had. So Depressing.

Why don't you just use a userstyle
@-moz-document domain("facepunch.com") {
.usertitle * {
font-size: 10px !important;
}
}
The trailer was so unbearable I couldn't even consider it. "We tweet. We reblog. We like. We share", yeah, we get it, social networking. People share stuff. Privacy concerns, wow what a compelling drama. I just can't stand hamfisted social networking in fiction.
read the synopsis and it sounds boring

You should watch the first episode, if you don't fall in love with it then move on but I'd be surprised

Yes I'm glad you gleaned that tidbit from my post, it was pretty well hidden in there so I'm surprised you saw it. I'm just saying the marketing looked really unappealing because of the social media angle they went for, it really did nothing to peek my interest. What do you like about it?
