Weechat/tmux master race
what's better about them?
what's better about them?
Weechat has a simpler config system and broader plugin ecosystem than irssi, you get pretty colors, and from what I've seen of screen it tends to swallow some key combos intended for programs running within it. Also, tmux is about 15 years newer than screen so there's less hassle with unicode-related things.
Just gotta look out for opportunities. Hell, I've only been in field for under a year and a half, at this company for less than 4 months, and have no completed formal education outside of high school and my A+. Now I'm a jr engineer at a datacenter. Take a job if you need one, but otherwise don't settle for something without progression opportunities. If you prove yourself early on you can really climb up fast.
We'll see I suppose, my tutor says I can get a job with the qualification I will get me started just hope I can get it sorted before the end of college so I'm not stuck wanting money for part of the summer.
What the heck are you doing SHA1 hashes for?
Trying to find a vanity Tor hidden service address. Also, GPU stable at 1625MHz memory clock, with OpenCL computation. Slider won't let me go further.
Uwot. What do you think Xeon-EX is? 4s and 8s.
I knew Xeon-EX did quad-socket, I just haven't seen any octa-socket systems since Westmere. All the IB-X boards I saw were quad-socket.
I want 64 processors, and they can pool together their registers for working memory. There's absolutely no problems with this plan.
Today on the "What the fuck are you doing you piece of shit" list: GTA V Anywhere between 5 minutes to 2 hours in, it'll kill itself, how is entirely up to whatever deity rockstar pissed off when they were making this It either freezes then "GTAV.exe has stopped responding", freezes then pops up with "err_gfx_d3d_init", or just hangs everything and forces me to reboot, without any crash dumps or event viewer messages After googling around, the exact cause of this issue seems to be fucking anything, of which there's dozens of fixes ranging from "Upgrade gpu drivers" to "Underclock everything"
This raspberry pi 2 is pretty cool, I don't like how it lags on fullscreen youtube videos though, but I didn't get it to use as a desktop.
Oh god the engineer I'm under doesn't understand sarcasm. I'm doomed.
I wonder if some idiot would actually buy it if that was the only one in stock. [sp] probably not but fun to think about [/sp]
It would be PR suicide for Newegg to not cancel that order.
Is there a USB battery that can tell the device how much charge is left in it?
I doubt it, ACPI over USB host would be pretty funny though.
Oh my god, please let USB-C UPSs be a thing
Seeing you with that useragent is just bizarre. It should at least be an Apple Newton, just for you.
First hand I can tell you that Newtons suck. They're big, they're monochrome, most of their apps suck and even if it has PCMCIA slots it supports next to nothing. Get a Palm. I mean, Gosh, get with the times!

we need to stage an intervention and make him stop posting in lmao pics
So, it turns out the computer society at my uni might be getting our supercomputer back up and running. Another computer society offered to give us some PSU's and CPU boards to replace the broken ones in our Sun Fire. Good times.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/5twgF0S.jpg[/t] Free computer from school (again), this one's got some AMD thing in it and is missing RAM and a hard drive, but I'll throw a few 500gig drives in there and see if I can't make it into a new NAS server to replace my laptop cluster. Anybody have some spare DDR2? PS anybody know if this PSU is prone to becoming a bomb? [t]http://i.imgur.com/VUgVNjC.jpg[/t]

I have 31 untested 1gb sticks of low profile ddr2...
ohh god damn it amiga

Its a chunk of metal rotating at 7000RPM of course it makes sound, its just usually drowned out by the fans in your computer struggling to stop your Fermi housefire and AMD shitdozer from igniting. (User was banned for this post ("Stop being such an angry nerd about HDD/SSD bullshit." - Seiteki))
That is absolutely the worst shitpost I have ever seen
I suppose it's better to have at least heard of the company than have it be like "PowerGO!" brand or something
The power bricks that came with my Clevo and Acer netbook are both LiteOn
Yeah I just knew they made that super cheap optical drive that everybody and their mother uses in their first build.
