https://ftp.nice.ch/pub/next/developer/hardware/powerglove/_PowerGloveInspector.README.html
This application displays the current state of a Nintendo/Mattel PowerGlove (tm) attached to the DSP port of a NeXTcube or NeXTstation computer. PowerGlove Inspector does not work on non-NeXT (i.e. Intel, HP or Sparc) hardware.
What have I discovered??
Who knows, maybe AMD will throw a massive amount of DRAM in the Zen architecture CPUs, to work as L3 cache, which might help with cache locality. I know Intel chips have DRAM on them already, for the GPU stuff, but I can't remember if that's used for anything else.
The DRAM on Crystalwell chips is usable as general L4 cache, but that's not on most Intel chips.
I have a feeling its actually an Atom chip once it arrives. Looks flakey as hell.
I see a lot of machines with that form factor on Aliexpress with a Celeron, though they can probably shove in any low-power BGA Intel chip in there that's compatible. It's probably fine and the price doesn't seem too good to be true if it's just a barebones machine.
fuck guys, i need a new computer can't run steam and skype at the same time without firefox lagging the hell out

wanna fight
So it turns out my brother has an ASUS UX305FA. It's just as nice as I thought it was, and I want one even more now.
the gtx 970 is massive and it makes cable management fucking impossible if any of you saw the depraved shit i just had to do to my computer to get this drive installed you'd lynch me
I'll just leave this here...
How come low profile GPU's get no love :( I hope HBM leads to more of them.
Because 90degrees risers. Also that means the card will use a bigger cooler, and therefor less noise and lower temperatures. Valve's prototype steambox used a such riser along with a run-off-the-mill gpu and mini-itx board.
That feeling after getting LDAP Auth to work across all your internal services. LDAP was a bitch at first, but now that everything works, it's amazing.
Orienting the GPU 90 degrees isn't perfect though.
Neither are low profile GPU's. Rock & a hard place, the best compromise is a 2U 3slot riser.
How come low profile GPU's get no love :( I hope HBM leads to more of them.
Wrong crowd. Most gamers don't care about space, so the only cards that actually get low-profile variants are low-end cards and Quadros for the businesspeople.
the gtx 970 is massive and it makes cable management fucking impossible if any of you saw the depraved shit i just had to do to my computer to get this drive installed you'd lynch me
I just upgraded from this:
Just get some of those hideous flexible risers, then bolt the GPU wherever it fits in the case.
hey alien wanna know whats funny? i was scammed into buying one of those $120USD seemed too good to be true even made a good few posts about it in a previous thread in here did get my money back thou
I actually bought that from swefox, for ~£100.
was this when swefox wasn't up his ass insane?
several weeks before all the crazy shit happened.
IIrc i "bought" a gtx470 off of him.
I have a HD7850 and almost broke my hands off when adding a HDD. Bad pic but [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32264365/battlestation/newhd%20%283%29.JPG[/t] I didn't know in which slot to put the HDD and I didn't want to take the GPU out. And then I completely fucked up when the cables barely reached and almost didn't fit with the GPU in without being in some fucked-up angles. I almost broke a SATA cable, the SATA power cable and the GPU 8pin off the PCB. ööh. never again, it took me like 2 hours when I could have done it much faster by just taking the GPU off, the other side panel off from the beginning (Cable management, I couldn't close it again after stuffing all my cables there) etc.
I just upgraded from this:
Makes me feel less bad about the size of my GTX 760 [t]http://i.imgur.com/2Pm1p95.jpg[/t]
It's interesting how ASUS makes both compact, boxy cards and insanely flamboyant ones with the heatpipes basically filling up the entire case once mounted, and both kinds tend to perform the same.
I just upgraded from this:
Almost as giant as my card [t]http://images.anandtech.com/doci/7406/Toxic3qtr_678x452.jpg[/t]
I had to cut a hole in the hdd cage to get my GPU to fit in my old case :v
i just threw and old pair of human eyeballs in my case and they're working great low profile too
