That is illogical in my books.
Obviously you've never worked for four hours on a 40 kg machine that sounds like a jet engine. Anyway, it was free and there's probably a pentium 3 in it.
We took it apart and sold them as spares if anyone would buy them.
Oh yeah, dem 12 GB IDE drives and 128MB of DDR RAM.
So i'm currently dealing with some weird shit, but can't tell what it is, because it's inconsistent, and i've never dealt with anything like this before. Yesterday, Arma 3 got a big patch. No biggie. I was about to go play some Arma 3 like i always do, for an hour or two, without any problems. No biggie. But last night, i started having this problem: I play for about Arma 3 15-20 minutes, the image freezes for a few seconds, then goes black. The game doesn't show it has crashed, yet i have to ctrl-alt-del to shut it down, because it's just all black now. I just imagined it would be a broken patch, but something else doesn't add up. After having to alt-tab/ctrl-alt-del to get moving, i noticed this on my other screen. I had left my spotify open on the other monitor, and it looks like fucking this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/xNi71om.png[/t] Moving it around will jitter the artifacting on random squares on spotify, so this shit made my think, "GPU is dying, how great". But - When closing down spotify, without having restarted or shut down my computer, and starting spotify back up, there's no artifacting anymore. Buuut, here's the kicker. XMBC (haven't gone KODI yet), which i opened by accident, then showed me this, which made me even more sad. Moving that window about, would also make the artifacts jitter. Closing, and opening up XBMC, however, would not remove the artifacting, like with spotify above! [t]http://i.imgur.com/dd2cFdI.jpg[/t] But where it throws me off even more is, when i restart my computer after this shit has happened, there's nothing to be seen when it's back in windows, with both XBMC and Spotify running. And it's sure to happen again if i play Arma 3. I'm having some problems figuring out, if this is hardware, or software based issues. The only thing i have showing, that something is up to no good when it chokes somewhere, is a snip of the GPU monitor, the moment it dips. I've had Nvidia, and sometimes even windows letting me know, if shit crashed, like if the GPU just decided to reset, and there would usually be a log too. In this case, there's nothing. I've tried defragging the drive Arma 3 is on and tried verifying the steam cache hoping it would be some really corrupted file from the patch maybe, and i've tried updating the GPU drivers to the newest version... Nothing has helped so far. The thought of me having to buy another GPU is gut-wrenching, because i can barely afford anything, with the way my situation is at the moment. Is there any help to get on this one? Diagnostic software, some steps to fix shit or anyone of you smart lads who'd know what this is??
Nah man, E7 or flip style all the way if we're talking QWERTY. They're just too bulky with a blackberry-style keyboard.
Googled E7 - got extremely hyped for some reason. [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/tratzzz/aaaaaaaaaahfuckyou.png[/t] I looked at the first result and the second picture and thought that Samsung made a new phone with a slide-out keyboard but actually they just took the name of a Nokia phone :(
Someone updated the image with hardware: [t]http://i.imgur.com/w0pDnSz.jpg[/t]
What the fuck kind of computer has component? And composite is arguably unrelated to computers...
What the fuck kind of computer has component? And composite is arguably unrelated to computers...
Some cards have those for video input.
--lotta text here--
The last Arma 3 update included more bugs than they fixed, especially with GPU drivers crashing. They now also included Hitler's anticheat. The forums are being flooded with threads about all kinds of shit breaking. So it may very well be that Arma's new update is the problem.
I would still love a high-end qwerty android slider. Every time I pick up one of my old phones and turn it on for old times sake I can still type just as fast and accurately as my iPhone or Android. Plus I can blind type too.
Just as fast? On my old landscape QWERTY slider smartphones I type like 10 times as fast as on my current smartphone, while making 1/10 of the typos.
Some cards have those for video input.
Yeah I assume capture cards for that exists, but it's even more rare than a TV tuner.
No warranty?
Nope, i'm past the two years unfortunatly.
My Pentium III Compaq Armada had composite out.
My old Vaio has a composite out, too. My old gaming laptop has an antenna port at the back for the TV tuner, and there is a chip on the mainboard that controls it to get a signal and such on it.
Basically ShadowPlay uses Windows7's MP4 handler for it or something and 7's only allows for something like 32bit filesizes. Windows 8's doesn't have the problem. [editline]10th June 2015[/editline] CBS owns that show? I thought it was a ShowTime series
Showtime's owned by CBS.
My Pentium III Compaq Armada had composite out.
I was talking about component mainly.
Text about Arma3 and graphics glitches
I've had this problem as well, but not with Arma3, simply Chrome screwing up, I thought.
Assuming you're on to something, that's a great relief to me. Nope, i'm past the two years unfortunatly.
Your best bet is firing up something that would usually use the fuck out of the GPU and stress test it. See if it happens with any other game/program.
I was talking about component mainly.
Many GFX cards of yore were bundled with a adapter from the schizophrenic s-video port to composite.
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/C9Bq4V.jpg[/t] I'm quite pleased with this little thing. Battery life is good enough so far, will be better on a 9 cell.
Widescreen Thinkpad, nice. Makes my X61s look like a dinosaur. Probably because it is a dinosaur.
Widescreen Thinkpad, nice. Makes my X61s look like a dinosaur. Probably because it is a dinosaur.
I really want to collect a few T-series and X series.
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project Steam Key: WZGX4-NRIXP-GERW9
Already owned it, part of a bundle. First come first served.
I really want to collect a few T-series and X series.
The X61's pretty nice. Quite thin, very light, and a great battery. The low-voltage CPU really lets it down in terms of performance though. I paid ~£60 for it late last year and now there's X201s going for about £90 on eBay. :v:
Already owned it, part of a bundle. First come first served.
Thank you very much!
I get 10 hours on my X230 with the 9 cell. I achieved 7 hours ish with Windows 7, but on Windows 8 it seems better. No doubt it will be even longer on Windows 10. This is on balanced, too.
Also I should say because I'm a lurker in the IRC channels, if you want to help out with the project, do so by grabbing the Warrior appliance and throw it on your hypervisor of choice. Even Hyper-V is supported with a special VM but support may be hard to come by, but VirtualBox or VMware Workstation/Player are recommended. Hop on #pomfret (for pomf-specific chatter) and #archiveteam (general chatter) on EFNet for project updates.
I would love to do this but I fear I would end up downloading something that would end me up in trouble. You just don't know what exactly that people have uploaded to that site.
eeeeee my server blade just got provisioned. Connected and it's sooooo faaaaast. I'm excited. Time to be a cretin and install Windows Server 2012 on it.
An essential skill for texting in class and not getting your phone confiscated :v:
damn kids and your cell phones, pay attention in class!
Got a Windows message telling me I was low on RAM, then Chrome crashed. RAM usage before relaunching Chrome: 30% RAM usage after relaunching Chrome: 96% Seems like 4GB of RAM is just not enough to run Google Chrome. [editline]10th June 2015[/editline] Also it brought my Surface Pro 3's battery life down from ~7 hours to 3. [editline]10th June 2015[/editline] And the touch screen issues present since at least 2013 are still not fixed. [editline]10th June 2015[/editline] Okay, seriously, why do I even bother installing this browser?
Why do people even bother with chrome anymorw
