So I got a third monitor for my birthday. Decided to benchmark it and see what'd happen...
brainfart on my part, I meant composite. And I mean this type of cable: They were common around 2002 to around 2008.
I remember thinking it was pretty sweet to use a TV screen as a computer display. This was back in the CRT days when component and progressive scan were the cat's tits.
You forgot to mention that shit was lagging at 14fps :v: Time to get more GPUs!
Speaking of which, I'm wondering if I should go with a reference 980 Ti or the EVGA Hybrid. The HYBRID has an entirely closed loop 120mm watercooler on it for an extra hundred. Benchmarks show it hitting 50c max temps.
At the risk of opening a Speedtest can of worms... My previous VPS: My new blade: No fucking wonder my website is so slow to load...
Who was the host of your old VPS? So I can avoid them. [editline]11th June 2015[/editline] I always thought my Asus RT-N56U looked like an art piece. So today I stuck it on a wall. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gaX5ooo.jpg[/t]
I hope you're painting that tape.
Tape is only temporary. Need to get some of those zipties with screw holes.
So they added a "Subscriptions" section to read.php and the only thing there for me is this thread :v: and thankfully I was reminded of this post I made almost 5 years ago
Kill me. The Wi-Fi at my school is fucking horrible. Currently getting 30% packet loss and it takes like 15 seconds to load single pages. :suicide:
Love the new "Shopping" search option google has, which my muscle memory keeps selecting thinking it's Image search
Love the new "Shopping" search option google has, which my muscle memory keeps selecting thinking it's Image search
Hasn't that been there for quite a while? Also I think it sorts the search options by relevant results, so shopping/images/videos/etc won't always be in that order.
Hasn't that been there for quite a while? Also I think it sorts the search options by relevant results, so shopping/images/videos/etc won't always be in that order.
How about don't fucking move the buttons around at random
How about don't fucking move the buttons around at random
It's not random though. I'm not arguing for it dynamically changing, I think it's stupid, but it's not like it rolls a die and that decides the order.
I'm not saying "waa the web shud nut xist". I'm saying that people are trying to treat it like it should replace the standard desktop like Chrome OS or present information like a third grader got a hold of PowerPoint, which is my general gripe. Yes, individual desktop software for forums would be painful. There also used to be things like bulletin board systems and Usenet which would still have made desktop forum software unnecessary anyway.
Usenet is exactly what I was complaining about. Reread my post. I want neither individual desktop software for each forum, nor every forum being a newsgroup with exactly the same design and behaviour. And before you tell me how bulletin boards solve that: Having to manually tell your terminal emulator to connect rather than just clicking a link in a search engine, and not having more complex design than is available with ANSI art aren't okay either.
My personal rule of thumb in designing a web page is that if it doesn't give the information you need when you print it, it's a terrible design.
Websites have print versions for that. With just an extra print stylesheet, if done well.
Oh gee, what gave you that idea? The plan on migrating to *BSD? The DEC terminal on my wishlist? Lounging on IRC networks? Discovering and using old tools like m4? Arguing with Japanophiles about why Arch is a terrible idea? It's a lot more comfortable here in this bubble. Things are a lot more simpler there.
The thing I don't think you're aware of is how many sacrifices you make, and that these sacrifices are nowhere near acceptable for anyone other than your couple hundred friends.
Doing a cable on the wall without 90 degree angles, was an automatic fail in installations at school. I had to do an antenna cable, with solid copper shielding, at a 90 degree angle, in a small space. F that.
Doing a cable on the wall without 90 degree angles, was an automatic fail in installations at school. I had to do an antenna cable, with solid copper shielding, at a 90 degree angle, in a small space. F that.
Why? 45 degrees seems easier and gives less strain on the cables...
The holders aren't designed for a cable going 45 degrees, they hold best with force applied directly to the nail from one direction, instead of being split coming from two directions.
So the hamburger menu in my Google Play Music is trying to escape... This is the problem with doing these things in CSS.
Posting from 36100ft. Strange experience to say the least. Ping is bad but download speed compatible to ADSL back home, can watch YouTube no problem.

Jeez. SecureCRT is so superior to Putty. Why haven't I been using this all along?
http://www.reddit.com/r/fatpepehate/ Woooow.
reddit has gone nuts i hope the admins ban more subreddits because it's hilarious
Jeez. SecureCRT is so superior to Putty. Why haven't I been using this all along?
Because the licences cost a hundred bucks?
Because the licences cost a hundred bucks?
Well then that explains it. Work provided it. Its really nice though since I've now got over 100 routers/switches/asas in the list.
Jeez. SecureCRT is so superior to Putty. Why haven't I been using this all along?
cygwin, ssh hostname what is this "dedicated ssh client" you speak of
cygwin, ssh hostname what is this "dedicated ssh client" you speak of
I'd kinda call the openssh client a dedicated ssh client. Given that it's the only thing it does.
I'd kinda call the openssh client a dedicated ssh client. Given that it's the only thing it does.
you know what i mean
cygwin, ssh hostname what is this "dedicated ssh client" you speak of
Did you not just read the amount of devices I've got? Fuck that bullshit.
So who needs a hard drive? [t]http://i.imgur.com/yqr567E.jpg[/t] Whiteboard pen and 19" rack-mount UPS for scale. That's a DEC RA90 made for the Swedish market. I think it's 205 MB, but that might be the compound size of the 6-pack array: [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0c/DEC-RA90-hard-disks-0a.jpg[/t] It weighs around 30 kg (which I found out when I tried lifting it while still not completely over my back pain. Stupid) and it's a lovely beige colour. Only reply if you have a working MicroVAX system and are in need of extra space. [sp]actually don't reply at all, it's not mine to give away >_>[/sp]
