It's not random though. I'm not arguing for it dynamically changing, I think it's stupid, but it's not like it rolls a die and that decides the order.
IIRC google adjusts the order based on the context of what you searched.

Relax, Valve will inform the datacenter employees in a month.
Yay, steam sale, right as our exchange rate is in the shitter. It just balances out :v:
[editline]12th June 2015[/editline]
And that's for games that aren't Australia taxed

Oh cool, I got reddit gold. What now?
Valves newest game: Monster Game, a cookie clicker-esque MMO
- Or, how to effectively DDOS your own servers
Whose idea was this
Oh cool, I got reddit gold. What now?
check out the benefits and see what you want, then give away the ones you don't want.
I still have the codes and whatnot for when I got reddit gold and apparently no one wanted any of the free perks/discounts.

Finish your dinners, children are starving in Africa
But it isn't random, its planned out for you to get there and click and buy shit.
this is why you use your browser's search keyword function
if i want to image search i just type "img $SEARCH_TERMS" into my address bar and we're all good
So I guess I'm getting a company iPhone. I don't want an iPhone...
Rockstar pulled some shit in this sale, GTA V is on a 25% off sale, for £38.98, they fail to mention that before the sale it was priced at £39.99, they raised the price to £51.99 when the sale started, https://www.steamprices.com/uk/app/271590/grand-theft-auto-v . Valve really shouldn't allow developers to pull this bullshit.

That's just fucking sad.
I was GOING to buy it but meh.
is it fair to call Valve content because they apparently only opened enough slots in their minigame for about a million people
they're not the little company they were six years ago wtf were they thinking

Valve still likes to think they're the little underdog.
oh, now the game's gone from telling me there was a problem putting me in a game to not doing jack shit at all
no wonder HL3's so delayed, valve's forgotten how to program :v:
Has there ever been any research on the effect of temperature on the lifetime of desktop hardware?
It makes prefect sense that hardware degrades faster, considering most chemical processes scale with temperature, but to what extend is this relevant?
I found some stuff regarding dram and HDs in data-centers and they debunk any kind of relation between lifetime and temperature, but its much harder to find anything regarding CPU or GPU temperatures.
Consumer laptops and various consumer GPUs often run into thermal caps, and nobody seems to care.
But online, especially in pc building, everybody instantly gets a knee jerk "Wo those temps are soo high" reaction, when temperatures get posted.

Six years? They were still pretty damn big in 2009...

I, for one, would be interested to see if that's relevant at all. My R9 290 idles at around 80 °C, which greatly concerned me for a while until I realized that I hadn't really looked at the temperatures before, so it might've been that way all along, rather than something that suddenly happened. After more research I found out it's got something to do with the fact I have multiple monitors. I'm not really bothered by it anymore since it doesn't give me any problems, but I'm curious if it has any adverse long-term effects.
finally got into the stupid thing
just so everyone knows, the game has no concept of autoclicker detection, so if you're on linux and have xdotool installed, you can just do this
while [ 1 ]; do
xdotool click 1
done
then just hover your mouse over your target and suddenly unlimited DPS

That is still kinda disconcertingly high if that's your idle temps though, because that indicates that your 290 would either be pumping quite a lot of heat or sound at load
I had a $20 Gelid Icy Vision cooler on my 290 and I was idling at around 40-50C with multiple monitors
it benefits the whole team too so don't feel guilty about it
[editline]ed[/editline]
i've not been getting a whole lot of merges lately, oh well
