Updated my drivers and now my driver keeps crashing playing Witcher 3. Wonderful. This is why I try not to stay on the bleeding edge of drivers...
Sooo I have this Sony "smart TV" that has various apps and whatnot, and right now, Netflix and YouTube are no where to be found. The dedicated buttons on the remote don't work anymore, it says that the feature is unavailable...
Yeah I guess they "deleted" the apps for whatever reason and this is why I'm gonna disable the auto updates because that's probably what happened. Or some remote removal of some sort.
I think the newest game I ever played and found playable was Halo: CE using that method. But yeah, if your going to be playing anything in the past 10 years or so, you might as well run it native. Fortunately, games made in the past 10 years aren't going to have major issues with modern OS's.
Note on Linux, Wine is a better solution in many cases.
Hell, I believe VirtualBox and Parallels actually use Wine's Direct3D-to-OpenGL component for Windows guest 3D acceleration.
Your processor needs to support VT-d, you must be running Linux as the host system, your kernel must support IOMMU, along with your hardware supporting it. You must also have a second GPU, obviously. I think that's the basic requirements.

It seems like a really big hassle just to play some games. You might as well just dual boot.
What the fuck Oracle?! Hell VMware's passthrough is easier than VirtualBox.

Answered your own question
Alright CIP, I need some advice on routers. One of the hard drives in my PFSense box died, so I've got 2 options.
1. Use a spare hard drive I have to just reinstall PFSense
2. I've got a Mikrotik RB450G that work gave me sitting on my desk
Which to do?
I haven't used PFSense a lot, though I do prefer it for some things. However, Mikrotik is nifty. Not flawless by any means, but nifty and definitely worth trying.

Yeah, we use mikrotik for all our wireless backbone shit at work. Though the dude is a piece of shit.

But the packages on pfsense...
I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, but should I post in here to ask for hardware advice if I intend to upgrade my computer? :v:
My day is starting out great.
Support Email Account is getting flooded with Russian Spam
CEO gets 34 virus emails in a single day (Executable files in attachments).
Some workers from a company we share the office with decide to use our expensive nespresso coffee machine instead of their cheap ones.
I wonder what else is gonna happen
Exchange Server gets infected.
oooh don't jinx it
I'm currently working on Making sure the Email filtering is up-to-scratch with all the malicious shit.
I really don't want to deal with cryptolocker in my Network.
Sadly, I can't block zip files. but atleast most of those shady emails use *resume*.zip and *invoice*.zip for their shady stuff.
Also now blocking html and htm files in attachments and vbs aswell.

it'd be either here or quick questions
but since i'm also in the fallout thread i know why you're here
For everyone else's benefit, here's his specs:
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
AMD A4-3420
Llano 32nm Technology
RAM
5.00GB DDR3 @ 798MHz
Motherboard
PEGATRON CORPORATION 2ACF (P0)
Graphics
HP W2072a (1600x900@60Hz)
512MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6410D (HP)
now, I ain't know jack shit about AMD CPUs so I can't speak there, but I do think you're probably going to want a slightly better graphics card. I've got a GT530 at 1GB and I'm not entirely sure it will run FO4 at all, but then again we don't actually know the minimum specs yet, I'd just been going under the "needs a little more horsepower than the previous game" pattern that's held true up to Skyrim.
RAM should be OK, especially if Beth is going to ship the game as a 32 bit binary (and since everyone who builds for Windows is apparently lazy this is extremely likely).
I'm contemplating getting a Joystick, however, I have the conundrum that I know little about them in terms of Manufacturer and build quality. Anyone here with any good ones they would recommend?
Logitech used to be top tier for joysticks but honestly what supports them now?
Most shit seems to expect an Xbox controller.
Hi guys how do i clean my mousepad it's a mionix sargas 460, basically thick cloth thingy. It's starting to fuck with my mouse
Water?
I just use a wet cloth for my cloth mousepad and then let it dry for a few minutes.
Works pretty well.
Well, it is that devs are leaning toward at least Xinput support. I know the BF games support it. and it shouldn't be too hard to map it to Xinput if the need arises. Otherwise I have older games I'd like to to mess around with a joystick with.
Not much beats the frustration of trying to disassemble something and finding the last screw is so stripped it may as well be a rivet
dafuq, my custom windows 7 theme broke over night, and all the fonts became messed up
had to revert to basic aero, but strange as hell really

Did happen to me very often. That's why I stopped with custom windows themes.
That's a laptop. He ain't getting no graphics upgrade.
No it isn't? But I'd scrap the whole system
It's not? I read Liano and instantly assumed it was a mobile system.
You are right though I'd still scrap it as well.
No it's fm1, first gen APU
first generation leg warmer
I'd go more with sterilizer, but same thing.
My bulldozer is incredibly warm, luckily my i7 is arriving in just two days.
Like, right now, it's not even that warm outside, and my PC is blowing out warm air. Actual warm air. And all I do is browse
Is anyone watching AMD's press conference? Did they say the 390x will be $429? Didn't early benchmarks have the 390x competing vs the titan X? $429 > $1000

No, it was early "leaked" benchmarks from an unnamed card. Now it looks like it was most likely the fury.

So the R9 Nano actually looks pretty cool for ITX.

I wonder what the price will be.
If the Nano is reasonably priced I can see it being used a lot.
[editline]16th June 2015[/editline]
If the performance of the Fury X is better than the nvidia counterpart, that $649 pricetag sounds decent.
I personally really want to know the Fury X price... though if I get it I'd have to get a new monitor most likely.
