Every laptop from Dell that I've touched has been bad.
Then again it was kind of my job to fix them.

Never thought I'd see Sean Plott pretend to be a talkshow host, but it's working well.

I'm still at around 42,000. Expected level keeps going down and down and down :(. Doesn't look like our group is gonna break 100,000.

also if anyone has any image ideas on it let me know would love to get it all looking pretty
you should either make the background image stay with the page content as it scrolls, or flip it vertically and make it connect to the top to give it the illusion of it being seemless
also make the text white
Windows 10 TP 10130 is actually really nice. One or two minor quirks but I'm already over them.
I went Debian because of 10. I mean I like the concept but it basically broke everything on my laptop.
Your links all point to the post one more recent than what it should be pointing to.
v35 link -> v36, etc.
Oh no wait, it only starts when it skips v33.
See what?
Man, someone must have swapped out the SSD in my laptop when I was sleeping. I don't remember it being this big.

Anyone know how to launch Chrome in multiple instances? I'm using Window 7's shitty workspaceseque API and how it handles it is to launch multiple explorer.exe's. So I can only launch Chrome in one, and I'd rather not have 4 browsers installed.
Is one of my users attempting to set a new personal record for system uptime?

My little netbook pooped itself but the BSOD on it looked so screwed, it was all garbage.
You all are talking about routers? Let me talk about my router for a sec.
I explained and convince to my parents to buy me a Minnowboard Max so I can install OpenWRT and use it to do awesome stuff like steam cache, bufferbloat mitigation and QoS. Then they agreed and they will buy that for me. In the meantime, I use my old PC with OpenWRT. After spending my whole morning with trying to get SiS Ethernet adapter to work, with me trying to build from source but it always fails for no reason so I gave up and installed prebuilt image with SiS driver, it finally works.
To make it a real router, I need to buy another NIC, so I took a quick walk to my nearby computer shop and bought a TP-Link TG-3486 pcie card. Then the PC router works awesomely. After installing smart queue management, I can play Dota 2 while watching youtube and uploading stuff without severe >200 ms latency. Awesome. I could see everyone bandwidth usage, I could know about my home network more. All of that is booted from a small USB stick.
Then I tried to put a SATA HDD because I need the steam cache to be ready for the Dota 2 Reborn update so I can bring that router PC to my friend's home and we can update several computers together. I installed the kernel module for that then I restart the PC. Then shit hits the fan. I already notified my family that I need to restart the router, but after several minutes there is no internet. I use a monitor and keyboard attached to the PC and tried to ping google, and it works. It seems that the NIC is acting weird again, so I decided to bypass my PC router and plug the cable modem directly to the wireless router. Because I've disabled DHCP on the wireless router so OpenWRT can provide it, I need to turn it on again. But any attempt to turn on DHCP and saving it results in some sort of session error and I need to log in again. Damn. So I say fuck it all and I reset the wireless router.
Then it works. So I decided to move the NIC to my gaming PC and try it from there. After several testing, I've determined that the ethernet cable is the problem, not the NIC.
Moral/ TL;DR:
1. NEVER EVER test things in a production environment. Seriously. Even if it is only for family use. Especially don't restart things when it is still working. If I got Minnowboard Max I can use it for production and I can use my old PC as testing.
2. Buy a proper ethernet cable instead of random cable with kinks and missing locking tab or you will face weird problems that dmesg will make you more confused with all those link up/down instead of telling you that the cable is to blame instead of the NIC.

I'm on hold with AT&T right now. Does anyone know any other ISPs that will provide at least 20 lines of dial-up in California?
... I'm not even going to ask.
You could do it yourself - sign up with a VOIP provider thingie, get 20 numbers, calls come in digitally to where you need it at, then you if you need it analog, you can convert it there.

Must be pretty futuristic technology it's protecting if it relies on dial-up.

Yeah about that...
Lately Level 3 has been having a shitton of maintenance and upgrade time lately. Maybe they're actually improving the backbone?

We're a fairly large dialup reseller across the nation, want me to ask and see who's in that area?
