I wouldn't exactly consider me surprised.
clearly the solution is to use more node.js
It looks so pretty though! Only reason I'm using Vivaldi is because it has the best browser UI to date. (in my opinion)
NodeJS is one of those things where someone just clearly beat up a web developer in an alley until they're a bloody mess, then they're rushed to the ER and their brain isn't working properly because of swelling. Then they wake up and say, "we should have Javascript outside the browser".
It only crashes every few hours :v:
I'm using it because I seem to not be able to launch a browser in more than one workspace. [editline]22nd June 2015[/editline] So I need 4 browsers
Is anybody else seeing ads on youtube with adblock enabled?
Is anybody else seeing ads on youtube with adblock enabled?
Update and refresh.

It's horrible.
You see that cross mark on the top left corner of the suggestions? Press it.
Ok so I need to do some basic Linux development via my Surface. I tried a virtualbox session but that was well, slow and the DPI was eyestraining. I have a dedicated server; would it be worthwhile to set up a Linux VM there and use a SSH session? I'd like to do it local, if possible, but poor Mr. Atom is a little slow :( [editline]22nd June 2015[/editline] Jesus Christ what am I doing, my school has a server I can SSH into...
Reminds me of OS X that doesn't let you unblock apps from "unknown developers" permanently, it resets after 30 days so almost every time I install something I have to go and change the setting. I hate when "user friendly" becomes "assume the user is an idiot"
Gatekeeper fucked everything over. I'd argue that the password prompts in OS X are far more annoying than Windows UAC because of how frequent they are.

So I have one of those semi-smart TV made by Sony and it had some apps, like Skype, YouTube and Netflix. I did use the Netflix app a lot and it was even a dedicated button on the remote. Well anyways, now those apps are no where to be found on the TV. The dedicated Netflix button doesn't work anymore. It says that the feature is unavailable. So it looks like Sony just got rid of those apps remotely or something which really sucks because Netflix usage was like the one useful thing on it.

It's like advertising a car to have leather seats but then replacing them later when the owner isn't looking :iiaca:
So got text message that I ordered food, except I didn't. This is going to be fun.
Hope they paid by card.
they just come back anyway
The same suggestions never came back for me though
This has gotta be illegal or something.
They just do confirmation by text message. So its just "Your order has been place, the delivery will be as soon as possible. Hey we have a phone app!!!". Send them a email and now we wait to see what happens.
Why are you sending them an email for a time urgent matter like this? Call them back.
Oh yeah, OS X really likes asking for the password.
Like if it asks for your password once, it should remember and carry over your consent to do stuff for additional actions in the same program for say 5 to 10 minutes. Or even just more yes/no prompts instead of asking for a password every single damn time.
Why are you sending them an email for a time urgent matter like this? Call them back.
Well, he doesn't have to pay for food he didn't order, so whatever really.

Working from home, no internet yet so using my phone for tethering. Apparently Android can't multitask networking that much - when my manager called to tell me about some server issues, my internet died until he hung up.

CDMA likes doing that.
This has gotta be illegal or something. For the time being, the Chromecast works fine and will replace it for now.

Honestly the best carrier I've ever had, and this is a fringe use case even for me. After some more testing, it seems to be mainly VPN connections that are killed. Regular stuff worked fine, if slower, but once the phone rings my VPN connections go silent.

I believe LTE calls are basically just regular data packets in the data stream, so you can call and have Internet connectivity at the same time. Funnily enough, my Nokia E51 could do that, my parents couldn't find somewhere so they called me, but I was on the bus, put it on speakerphone in the background and used Google Maps to get directions for them.
