ATT drops to hspa when on a call
Every Canadian carrier does that, mainly because no Canadian carrier has VoLTE yet. Although if you're on Rogers, you can use Rogers One Number which is basically VoLTE and VoIP. You can call someone and it would basically originate from your phone number on your computer or tablet which is pretty cool.
It's a damn shame though that pretty much no other case manufacturer is bothering with Thunderbolt support. These days it's pretty much go with Apple's hardware for Thunderbolt support or go bust.
Thunderbolt 3 on the other hand being compatible with USB...that'll probably increase adoption greatly.
Intel fucked up by being anal about thunderbolt certification.
You want to make a standard popular? then first step is to NOT be totally anal regarding its implementations and usage.

Oh god, Comcast needs to get their shit together.
On the LAST PAGE of their self-checkout system, it randomly dumped me into a chat room. Closing that completely borked everything - everything redirected to their home page, even using the back button.
Starting over, it locked up at the first step, suddenly saying that the address already has a customer, and forced me into a chat again to try to resolve it.
The one bright side: the clearly-outsourced level-one rep didn't pretend he wasn't Indian.
But he took about ten minutes to go through the regular flowchart only to say "yep, somebody's already connected here, we'll have to schedule a tech to come out and disconnect it before we can hook you up".
This despite the fact that:
a) There were no problems like that when going through their website just ten minutes before
b) The apartment has been unoccupied for at least two months and any previous accounts should be delinquent
c) I am literally sitting next to the only cable jack in the apartment, and there's nothing attached to it that could need to be disconnected.
So far it's just the ordinary fuckups you expect from Comcast
But when I filled out the survey for "was this rep helpful", I got a 500 error page.

It might be better to just get them to send a tech every time you have a problem.
At least here (we have our TV service from Comcast because copper only building), you call a tech and he actually listens and tries to get shit fixed.

The problem seems to be more on their end than mine - I think my first order got far enough along to lock the address, but didn't actually create an account for me.
And of course something like *that* won't be on any phone rep dialogue tree.
If I don't get a call tomorrow I'll just call up a local guy directly.
A wireless mouse lost one if its mouse feet pads, I guess I can't really get replacements for it eh?

Some years ago it was easy to buy cut-to-size mouse feets.

honestly, i disagree
the amount of times the OSX keychain prompt should be popping up is pretty minimal (and generally when it is happening it's kinda important)
using sudo style time authentication for 5 to 10 minutes would be a bit riskier

I guess I'll look for any on eBay if they still exist. If not, I'll have to look around and see if it's still somewhere on the desk. Judging by me realizing this now and there isn't a ton of crap on the underside of where the mouse foot pad was, it was recently poked off or something.
In other news, thinking of buying a hilariously expensive mouse, the Logitech MX Master Wireless mouse.

In your defense, that mouse looks incredibly comfortable and actually good looking.
are we just inbetween socket changes now or something? prices on cpu's are weird, and we've had 1150 for ages..

If you're gonna do web dev, you'll want to have every major browser installed.
I usually test in Firefox since it covers the most of the specifications, so if it works in there there's a very high chance it'll work in the others, while Chrome has some weird hacks that don't translate to the other browser.s
So I have one of those semi-smart TV made by Sony and it had some apps, like Skype, YouTube and Netflix. I did use the Netflix app a lot and it was even a dedicated button on the remote. Well anyways, now those apps are no where to be found on the TV. The dedicated Netflix button doesn't work anymore. It says that the feature is unavailable. So it looks like Sony just got rid of those apps remotely or something which really sucks because Netflix usage was like the one useful thing on it.
I have a sharp TV with all that crap too. The Netflix app was really slow so I never used it.
I do

{
display: block;
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
box-sizing: border-box;
background: url('http://i.imgur.com/3vINNru.png') no-repeat;
width: 244px; /* Width of new image */
height: 100px; /* Height of new image */
padding-left: 245px; /* Equal to width of new image */
}

examples?
So here's a list of issues I have with the theme:
The graphics (avatars and forum/silk/profile icons) especially stand out - making them a bit transparent (as in the ratings buttons) would help.
The left blue border on new posts is on the outside of the thread. This looks especially weird when you have a quick reply box open, whose borders are on the inside.
Regarding the quick reply box: there's no border on the bottom of it. It also makes the space in between posts before it (and above and below the Reply/Subscribe head menu) a brighter gray than the background.
The contrast between the various greys is a little too low in my opinion, and the blue links are too saturated.

For me, it works fine. Similar app design as it is on the Roku box. Doesn't really lag much and I can use my TV remote instead of my phone for the Chromecast. For watching stuff in order, it works fine. Navigation may be annoying sometimes but beyond that, it works. Streams in 1080p, has access to all of the usual Netflix options where available. I kinda miss it. Damn it Sony.

My wireless mouse is missing all but one foot. Do you think it's possible to just make some using hot glue or something?
In your defense, that mouse looks incredibly comfortable and actually good looking.
I want to try the mouse out in person first but no store actually has it as a demo yet. My main concern is the side buttons that go forward and backwards in navigation. Not sure if it would be awkward to press or not. I also want to check out the horizontal scrolling since I do a ton of video editing.
And I think when it came out earlier this year, Canada computers was selling it for $109, $10 less than everyone else. Now it's $119 everywhere.
Speaking of mice, I could go get a Logitech m560 for $30 at my local Costco and return it within 90 days if I don't like it. After putting my hand on the plastic shell packaging, it feels pretty good in the hand, has side buttons and is inexpensive.
Logo works fine here.
