So I can install PC components and software, run a Linux distro. Program in Visual Basic to an extent, make a website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and design a database but knowing how to use a fucking washing machine is beyond me. Had to get my brother to show me because my parents are out. My competence in some areas feels excellent in some areas but astoundingly bad in others.
how old is the washing machine? my parents bought one 8 years ago and it's pretty fucking idiot proof
About a year or two old, its all sorted now though. I know what I'm doing (Somewhat)
Knowing how to use a washing machine sounds like a basic youtube video that hopefully exists one time when i need to wash my clothes by myself.

Truth to be told, nobody in the household really knew how to use it, since it was one of the fancy ass ones with a bajillion functions. Got scrapped in exchange for one with a mechanical dial for power and another for time, K.I.S.S.
Smart ovens are great, just dial in that you got frozen pizza and it does the rest.
You can't put a frozen pizza in a microwave! It just turns into pizza fluid.
It's a oven :v:.
It's AN oven :v:
Smart ovens are great, just dial in that you got frozen pizza and it does the rest.
I'm used to run it on medium for a few minutes before giving it full throttle when cooking something frozen. I just don't trust automatic cooking programs, especially not those coupled together with shitty interfaces. To make it worse it either only popped ½ the popcorns when running automatically, or burnt 'em all, tell me that's smart and I'd laugh. And it could've all been avoided if manual control was primary interface, and snazzy auto things were just accessories, but the trend nowadays is the opposite. [editline]fuck[/editline] Goddammit, you're talking about 'normal' ovens, I'm talking about microwaves ovens.
What [t]http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2015/07/original-2.jpg[/t] the fuck? [t]http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2015/07/original-1.jpg[/t] Source: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/07/fabled-sony-nintendo-play-station-prototype-discovered/
Goddammit, you're talking about 'normal' ovens, I'm talking about microwaves ovens.
Microwaves are serious business. Please don't try this at home.

I quit sodas for like 6 months then had a Coke and it was just really terrible sugary carbonated water, wouldn't drink again. After drinking nothing but water for 6 months carbonation is really terrible. I even struggle with beer which has barely any carbonation compared to soda.
Prefer Dr Pepper myself.
pepsi tastes like rust water.
Hey, bit of a stupid question here. How do you guys cool down your rooms on hot days? Right now it's 36c outdoors, and if this portable AC's thermometer is accurate my room is 30c. The unit in question is a portable of 9000 BTU, and I noticed it simply can't keep up with my room. The sun is on the other side of the house, and the exhaust hose is going through my window, with a drawn shutter and insulated by bedsheets. Right now I have two computers running; a Pentium E2140 in my closet which processes the signal of my mom's IP camera, and uploads it to Ustream. This one is pretty much at 95% load at all times. Then there's my computer with a A10-6800K clocked to 4.8GHz, and a Radeon HD 7950. Right now I'm browsing FP most of the time, and my CPU is at 50c on idle. Simply put, I think I have to conclude 9000 BTUs are not sufficient in my situation. Currently I'm short on money so I can't drop money on one with higher cooling capacity, so I'm looking for a way to get this room comfortable.

I open a window.
I wonder what's the slowest thing Linux has ever been successfully run on
I wonder what's the slowest thing Linux has ever been successfully run on
http://dmitry.gr/index.php?r=05.Projects&proj=07. Linux on 8bit [editline]dammit[/editline] Ninja'd within a minute, and even with the same link.
it works far better than it does on chrome mobile
My experiences are so far the opposite. Chrome mobile handles FP like a dream for me (well I use the beta version) but IE mobile was clunky. Using ratings is also FAR better on chrome than ie.
Fans?
Well I have my ceiling fan, but I figured since it forces warm air down the room that it won't help a lot, or would it?

I've got my whole home AC, but I don't want to bump it for the whole house when it's just my room getting hot. A fan is helping a little bit, but not much. I've got my high performance desktop, 2 poweredges, and sometimes a third system all spitting out so much heat.
Well I have my ceiling fan, but I figured since it forces warm air down the room that it won't help a lot, or would it?
Can you reverse the direction to pull colder air up?
i'm in a huge room now with large windows and single insulation so I don't have the hot as fuck issue anymore that i used to have living in my girlfriends literally 2 and a half size'd mes' because of room mass takes a lot to heat my bedroom now [editline]5th July 2015[/editline] which is quite bad too because its fucking winter and having heaters on 24/7 is not my preferred method especially after the power company fucks up for 7 months and charges us $450 a month instead of $190 like we've been calculating on our meter someones fucked up again
That's why you just need more servers for the winter months. No other heaters necessary.
Can you reverse the direction to pull colder air up?
Yeah I can, it's spinning counter-clockwise, forcing air downwards. Right now I have the AC pointed straight at my ceiling fan, so when it's off the squirrel fan of the AC spins the fan up a bit. Right now it's on medium speed, and seems to help a bit in taking the stuffiness away, but the thermometer still shows 30c. But simply put, I really wish I had the money to purchase a split unit. Much less noise since the compressor is out of the room, and it actually will succeed to cool the room down to 23c.

No, it's still humid as hell here unfortunately. Real pity my dad hadn't the budget to buy a air conditioner with higher cooling capacity back then. He purchased this unit thinking it could help cool down the living room and kitchen, which is pretty much the whole surface of the house.
Which one of you got butthurt enough to log onto their throwaway on reddit lmao Jesus Christ, if I came up with posts that shit, I'd make a throwaway too.
