crap i bet you get 1000 lags even when u only spawned 1 prop
no actually its not bad my settings on g-mod are all on high
I have a
Pentium 4 2.4GHz
1GB RAM
7600GS
That runs GMod and TF2 on highest settings, at a good 30fps. Stop yer complaining, it's fine!
Edit
X1050?
Start yer complaining.
Not good enough!
hurr, I bet you play at 2560x1600
or is your response going to be "1024x768 is good is enough for anyone"
hurr, I bet you play at 2560x1600

mine runs on 1024x864.
what about I have the same cpu and it's actually fine for gmod/tf2 and it blow the shit out of hl2@ high resolution with AA and AF and such.
it's not a bad setup, it's just getting really old and actually those cpus were quite good to last that long, but yeah, in a few months, prepare for a new gaming rig
mine runs on 1024x864.
That's pretty damn tiny.
i figured i would just upgrade my cpu.
i figured i would just get an upgrade.
It seems like you need a new PC, not an upgrade.
hurr, I bet you play at 2560x1600

I have pretty much the same specs.
Except for minor differences.
(E.G 3,2 GHz, 2 GB ram, 7600GT .
Garry's mod runs on a fine 60-90 FPS (Empty GM_Construct.)
And that is when using the highest possible settings and 1280x1024 (Highest my screen support.)
I'm upgrading later this year, though.
this is probebly a noob question but can't i just take the cpu out and put a new one in.
this is probebly a noob question but can't i just take the cpu out and put a new one in.
Depends on your mobo and PSU.

mobo = motherboard

you plug shit into it, like ram graphics cards cpus etc ec
psu = power supply

provides power for all your components from the wall outlet.

Okay. Well, I still think it would be best for you to get a new PC all together. Your mobo is probably shit, PSU not over 400w, Case hard to work it or something. Etc etc.
:saddowns:
my mobo is ASUSTek Computer INC.
xp and ya that seems right

If you're gonna get a new PC I really recommend getting Win7. Furthermore, I'd suggest that you build your own PC instead of buying a shitty prebuilt. I guess for a decent gaming PC would be about 1000$ if you built it yourself.
just call intel right or like bestbuy or somthing.
I just know I'll get week-banned for posting this thread ( D: ), but it all depends on what you're playing. If you're running Half-Life or Counter-Strike (ORIGINAL GOLDSOURCE GAMES! NOT SOURCE GAMES!), then don't worry. If you're running HL2, just get a $200 graphics card and a $150 motherboard to go with it. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that the motherboard has, and the graphics card uses, PCI Express. Regular PCI won't cut it, AFAIK. If you're running TF2 and regularly go to nearly-full servers, prepare to take out a loan comparable to the down payment on a car.
Im running TF2 and L4D fine with a 8400GS PCI card and a Pentium 4 3.6GHz.
just call intel right or like bestbuy or somthing.
For what? :raise:
just call intel right or like bestbuy or somthing.
No, build your own. www.newegg.com
Run the parts over with us. Or make a new thread in PC building with your budget and what you want the computer to do, let us do the rest.
