What are the brand/models of your 2 current power supplies, the rated wattage is not as important as the brand/model. If you can't see anything on the psu it's probably upside down

Stop code(s)?
You have to look at it in your case

I have quite a shitty case and it's a REAL hassle even getting the sidepanel off so I don't think I will,sorry..

either way you have to take it apart, and i've never seen a case that has a sidepanel that hard to get off.

I am.
I just don't quite see the point if i'm definitely going to buy a new PSU anyway.

Also,Odessa_Cubage,why are you dumbing everyone?
He seems to do that alot, just ignore him

I'm not gonna say why since no one else ever gives an explanation
Probably going to buy the Sharkoon T9 in a few days. Anyone here have opinions about it? Does the MSI GTX 760 Gaming fit in it?
From what I can find on Sharkoon's and MSI's websites, it should
Should. The MSI gaming is the smallest of the top 4. (MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, EVGA)
I also want to upgrade my processor in a long, long time (talking like,2 years because I want to buy a DSLR and a mechanical keyboard and stuff first as well).
I'm thinking about either the AMD FX-6300 Black Edition or an i5 something.
Leaning towards the AMD but everyone here says AMD CPUs are bad or something? Why?
I'm mainly going to be gaming, and some rendering. But the rendering speed on my current i3 is passable,so it should increase no matter what CPU I choose so that's not a big deal.
Yes,i'm aware i'll have to buy a new motherboard as well. Suggest a motherboard, because I don't know if motherboards have anything to do with performance or something :v:
Also, case (Sharkoon T9 Value Green Edition) is coming tomorrow.
Not worth upgrading to either from a i3 3220, definitely not an amd. Performance would be identical on the 6300, 6350, and 8320 and the most you could get out of even a 4670 would only be 5-10 average fps increases in some games. If you want to do a meaningful upgrade get a good gpu like an r9 290.
AMD have lower IPC, I believe. A 3.4GHz Intel has higher single core performance than a 4GHz AMD. Also, AMD multicore performance is only slightly better than an i5, and this is with their octa cores.

Also, their power usage is shite in comparison

But it'd be better than my i3,right?
The i3 is faster in single core but the AMD is better for multi core. Take your pick.

Interested to see the AMD FX-9590 vs the i7-5960x :p

The 9590 is basically the highest binned 8350's with an increased tdp. Although an oc.net mod recently broke 8ghz with his.

Sorry for being a dumbfuck but what you're saying is that if something uses only 1 core, the i3 will be faster, and if it uses multiple the AMD is faster. Right?
For example, rendering would go a lot faster, but some games would run a bit better on the i3.
Think I might get the AMD then either way because AFAIK games don't rely on CPUs too much so the performance "hit" for that would be negligible, but the boost for rendering would be massive.
....I hope.
No, there's nothing that uses just one core, all applications utilize multiple cores, its just a questions regarding how well they do it. Rendering might be a bit better yes, but i'd be surprised if you notice the difference. Your 3220 will be identical to an amd. You'll waste your money getting any amd processor over your current i3.
Also, would the Corsair CX600 be enough instead of that 750 watt one? I'm thinking 750 is a bit overkill but what do I know. I'd like to save those 20 euros, could buy some delicious games with that.
600W is more than enough
600W is more than enough
Even with the (then upgraded) PC with a MSI GTX GeForce 760 Gaming,a Roccat Kone XTD mouse (has 4 RGB LEDs),a Sharkoon T9 (a case with 3 fans with LEDs) and in the future a backlit mechanical keyboard (either Razer Blackwidow or Corsair K70 RGB)?
Is the MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming a huge improvement over the MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming? And would 600 watt still be enough? If it's a big improvement and 600 watt is still enough I might just save up for that extra month and get the 770.

The AMD 280X has a tiny bit better performance than the 770 and should cost less, so it might be easier to save up for

MSI Radeon R9 280X GAMING 3GB is 267€ while the MSI 760 is 200€. Is that price increase worth it?

What's the performance difference? And does the MSI Afterburner work with this one? And ehat about the XFX 280x black edition?
Between what? No, why would it, it has its own bios and software. It's just a stock overclocked model.

Between the XFX and the MSI.
