• Looking to upgrade my proc

Just realized that my computer isn't at full potential and that a solution is a CPU upgrade. My current CPU is: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93 (3MB L2, 1077FSB) My slot is an LGA 775 (I'm pretty sure) and I'm looking for possibly a cheap i7 or something of the sort. The i7's now are somewhere in the 200-300 range. I cannot shell out enough for an i9, as much as I would shit my pants over them.
What graphics card do you have?

well if your not upgrading your mobo you can put an i-7 in, cause that uses a different socket.
full specs and i5 over i7
What graphics card do you have?
Nvidia GeForce 9800GT. Yes it's pretty meh, but it's good for Source games and ect.
THey are not bottle necking, you should get a new graphics card. Getting i5/i7 will require you to get a new mobo, ram and cpu, which will probably be higher then 300.
you could just get a quad the fit LGA 775
What is your motherboard?

^ cheaper
E7500 > Q6600 gaming wise
well i-7 wouldnt make a difference if your goin with the whole games mostly can only use two cores.
Quad is only needed for GTA4 and Arma2
