Nah, Model M ftw, i just love the *clackclackclak*
Saitek have great quality keyboards. My Eclipse II is still kicking pretty good after a year. Haven't had any problems with it and would recommend you get one. My next keyboard will probably be a Eclipse III, that is whenever, my Eclipse II dies.
I had the cyborg then it broke and dabs gave me a full refund, and I bought a Saitek Clavier, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Saitek-Clavier-Slimline-Keyboard-SOV44029U002/dp/B002VPD3GU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1263251523&sr=1-3 I dont need the backlit keys anymore as my monitor(s) light up them anyway, and I never used the programmerable keys other than to make spamming funtions in msn and auto quick switch knife in Day of Defeat but I didnt really see much use for them.
Thanks for the advice! I'll probably go for an Eclipse II or Cyborg.
nahhhhh don't do that i'd get the msoft sidewinder x6 best keyboard i've owned [editline]03:53PM[/editline] and is the least ugly out of all the gaming keyboards

I'm curious as why people still post here. It's obvious I got help from two people and that's enough.
maybe it turned into a discussion really surprising for a discussion board, i know, but it happens
Just Wondering do you want that keyboard becouse you have to much money or do you just lan-party a lot ? Hmm should have a ibm keyboard somewere EDIT: Aint no moddel m but its mechanic also have a dell one that mechanic
Maybe I'm missing something, but what is so awesome about the model M? Other than an irritating as fuck typing sound (cool for the first week, then it's just irritating) and the ability to repel female specimen in a radius of 500 metres. The last part was somewhat sarcastic, I don't chose keyboards based on how much pussy they pull (mostly because they don't).

I have had good experiences with the Logitech G-series. I currently own the G11. It's good and will last for a long time, unless you smash it regularly, of course.
don't rubber domes have a life expectancy of about 4-5 years if you constantly use them
That's what I got, and I don't really bother changing it, I picked up it from some dump but it's 100% working for 4 years now. I suggest you get that, easy layout, cheap, strong as concrete. Hit it as much as you want and it's still working. What's the fucking point having 50$ keyboard if it breaks after being rage hit. + in my opinion, all those words " gamer keyboard" like AC130 - kickass gamers keyboard is just to make it sound " Ah here is keyboard for me! I am gamer right? " Keep it simple.

I tried typing on one of those before, obviously had no tactile feedback at all. Also, if you want a modern gaming keyboard that has a good bit of tactile feedback, there is the ABS M1, though I've heard of some people who are rough with their keyboards (taking it to lan parties and such, it gets thrown around a bit) have had issues with solder points coming loose, but anyone with any sort of electronic skill will know that's a very easy fix.
We have them in school and they suck ass for typing, really unresponsive and it's just a terrible quality cheap keyboard. Rarley go to LAN parties and I don't hit my keyboard ever seeing as I don't usually play online games often.
Rarley go to LAN parties and I don't hit my keyboard ever seeing as I don't usually play online games often.
Case = Important Screen = Sort of important Mouse = As long as it doesn't look like shit Keyboard = Dont care Conclusion: Even your grandma's keyboard should be fine
Case = Important Screen = Sort of important Mouse = As long as it doesn't look like shit Keyboard = Dont care Conclusion: Even your grandma's keyboard should be fine
That was a pretty dumb conclusion.
Case = somewhat important Screen = Most Important Mouse = Important Keyboard = Important
Fix'd that for ya.
Case = Important Screen = Sort of important Mouse = As long as it doesn't look like shit Keyboard = Dont care Conclusion: Even your grandma's keyboard should be fine
So the thing you will never interact with during the computers use is the most important, the thing you look at is less important, and the stuff you actually use don't matter? your list is backwards
Mouse = As long as it doesn't look like shit
Why does it matter what it looks like, your hand will be covering it.
On the subject of keyboards, is there any difference between using a ps/2 connector and USB?
Some motherboards are not compatible with using USB keyboards before booting the OS (atleast I have tried that.)
