I am so fucking jealous, the picture is perfect.
The display is the main reason I'm getting myself a 17" MBP within the coming weeks, my Dell 3007WFP runs the same LCD element as the Apple Cinema 30 but the only difference is the color calibration, I'm really tempted to buy a LCD calibrator.

My screen(s) look dull in comparison :(
Here's my almost finished case. The window's gone because some thinners dripped onto it accidentally – I'll have another one fitted in there by tomorrow. This is just to show the cable management and the painted black chassis. One of the best cable management jobs I've seen with an Antec case. I really like how you painted the case matte black. I've seen a similar job done but with glossy black and it doesn't look nearly as good. Anyways, I finally broke down and bought a new PSU. It's the OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W model. I got it for three reasons: 1. It's modular, so I can clean up my cables even more (even I think that's unnecessary, but whatever) 2. It's not loud as shit like my Silverstone ZEUS ST65ZF 650W 3. It doesn't put out nearly as much heat as my Silverstone. (also making it quieter since the fan isn't spinning as fast) I know I am downgrading...but to me, a much quieter, cooler, and modular PSU by a reputable company was well worth $70 (I bought it during their 48-hour PSU sale that not many people knew about I guess). According to the tracking info, it's coming in today (UPS guy usually arrives by 3 PM). I'll be sure to post pics.
one of the fews things apple did right imo.
I just sat and calibrated my 30" by eye on a calibration site using the NVIDIA Color settings menu and I got my 30" looking quite a bit better, not that it looked bad but it's very close to the display quality of my Cintiq now, which runs an Eizo 20.1" LCD that is pretty much perfect. I've decided after looking it up I'm going to buy a COLORVISION Spyder 3 Elite, no reason to have nice monitors if they are not professionally calibrated.

The inside of my PC is a fucking mess. Anyone have a beginning guide to cable organisation knocking round?
The inside of my PC is a fucking mess. Anyone have a beginning guide to cable organisation knocking round?
Depends on what case you have, etc. Take some pictures of it, then you will get some suggestions as to where you can put what. If your case has cable management holes in the motherboard tray, you can stuff some of your excess cables through them and hide them behind the mobo.
i think apple's display panels are manafactured by samsung - shows how much difference good calibration makes i guess
i think apple's display panels are manafactured by samsung - shows how much difference good calibration makes i guess
Yea Apple's display panels are made by samsung, but recently it appears they're made by different companies. My brother and i have the same MacBook and my dad has an iMac and the all have different screens... My screen and my brother's screen and Samsung but my dad's is LG, so I guess they used LG then Apple switched to Samsung.

The new LED backlit Macbook Pro's look fantastic, I can't wait to get my mits on one.
Well my new PSU came today, so I spent some time rearranging some of the cables in the bottom area of my case. I'd say I did a good job. Sorry about the horrible picture, the lighting in my room is poor, and I had to use some portable fluorescent light...

I only use my MacBook for WoW and Source games since thats all it can really do and the colors look great and is one of the best screen I have seen, high quality stuff.

I'm not getting mine for gaming but it'd be nice to know what it can do game wise. Hows HL2 run on it? What GPU does yours have? I assume the 9300M?

I play half life 2, team fortress 2, counter strike source, day of defeat source, and left 4 dead with every thing maxed out with AAx2, AFx2, and shaders medium at 1280x800 at around 35 to 60 fps. pretty damn good for being integrated!
Coolermaster Storm Scout :buddy: [img_thumb]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/f000dsc01073.jpg[/img_thumb]
That's one of the cases I might get and I was wondering if you had any gripes about it. I'm a little iffy about the handle because I don't think I will ever use it as I don't plan on getting into LAN. The other case I was thinking of getting is the HAF 922 but I'm leaning more towards the Storm Scout.
Get the Storm Scout, just because not as many people have it compared to the HAF series (and I think it looks better).
Yes that's what I was thinking, that the HAF is pretty generic and I can't find any reason not to get the Storm Scout. Usability wise they are exactly the same, same amount of internal and external drive bays, both relatively the same size (Storm scout is slightly smaller), same front ports. The Storm Scout has a side window which I like (The 922 has like a mesh/grill window thing on the side, which I don't count), I guess I'll count the handle as a plus because it's not like it looks bad and it will aid in moving the computer and it's $20 cheaper so I think I'll probably go with the Storm Scout.

I looked on the Coolermaster website but the case wasn't there.

I only had one problem with CM Scout, that was getting the sides on after I jammed all the cables on the other side, but once its on its ok.
