I have the 9400m, 2.0ghz core2duo, and 4gb of ram with 80gb dedicated to Windows of the my 160gb hard drive 7200rpm . I play half life 2, team fortress 2, counter strike source, day of defeat source, and left 4 dead with every thing maxed out with AAx2, AFx2, and shaders medium at 1280x800 at around 35 to 60 fps. pretty damn good for being integrated!
What? I have a 9500m, and I could only get ~30fps in L4D maxed (no AA) at 1366x768. I get about 50 now with a huge overclock (600/600/1600 up from 475/400/950)
T5900 2.2ghz, 4GB ram
Yes that's what I was thinking, that the HAF is pretty generic and I can't find any reason not to get the Storm Scout. Usability wise they are exactly the same, same amount of internal and external drive bays, both relatively the same size (Storm scout is slightly smaller), same front ports. The Storm Scout has a side window which I like (The 922 has like a mesh/grill window thing on the side, which I don't count), I guess I'll count the handle as a plus because it's not like it looks bad and it will aid in moving the computer and it's $20 cheaper so I think I'll probably go with the Storm Scout.
HAF932 is a full tower, Storm Scout isn't. That's a deal breaker for me personally.

Thanks, I'll be getting the 3.06Ghz with 4GB of DDR3 and the 9600M GT, hybrid SLI with the 9400m, It should be more than enough for casual gaming that I most likely wont do though lol. I'll end up using it as a 3rd PC for LAN games here at my house lol.
Beautiful display on that iMac, Always admired the apple screens.
Basically the only reason i got it, i use it for working and stuff, then i just hop into my bedroom when i want to play a 'decent' game.

Yeah I decided to go for a 7200RPM HDD upgrade, It seems like it would be cheap yet very worthwhile upgrade.
Do you guys think its worth to change my case (Cooler Master CM690 nVidia Edition) to possibly a Antec 300 ?
Do you guys think its worth to change my case (Cooler Master CM690 nVidia Edition) to possibly a Antec 300 ?
Not at all, at least that is my opinion.

Sorry to tell you but the 9600M GT can't hybrid sli with the 9400M GT in Windows or Mac OS X, for some reason Apple decided to disable the feature which was retarded. Anyways, the MacBook Pros are great for what you'll probably be using it for and gaming (they play crysis with all settings on high with AAx2) and now they can have up to 8gb DDR3 which is cool.
I finally got around to fixing my horrid cable management.
It might not look like much, but trust me, it's a big improvement.
Actually now that I look at it, I should have routed that 4pin power cable behind the motherboard tray
I should probably get some zip-ties too.
Why do people care about cable management? The inside of my case is like a medusa orgy and I don't give a fuck. People say cable management improves airflow. That may be true, but the difference in temperatures would be minuscule.

Yea they had it so if you want MOAR battery life you can switch to the intergrated 9400m and when you need power switch to the 9600m gt. I think you have to log out for it to work, I hope one day I can have a macbook <3:clint:

Easier to upgrade.
New harddrive.

I would take a picture of my computer, but it hasn't changed much.

I also need to invest in a decent camera.
1TB, I do wants.

HAF 922 is the 932's little mid-tower brother.

i'm thinking about buying a sound card as i'm convinced the onboard one is shitty. the sound on my macbook is better... although it's a lot of money to spend. i heard you get a lot of interference using onboard sound
thoughts?!! mainly gonna be used for music
Easier to upgrade.
Hardly, by the time I've unwrapped the cables from behind my motherboard tray and cut all the cable ties off and unwoven the hidden spare connectors I start thinking "why do I waste time doing this?" then remember it's because it looks nice.

I did that too when I was replacing my PSU yesterday. I ended up spending another 20 minutes working on it after I realized that I had already spent a half hour on it. Oh well, my rig is super clean now.

I would recommend getting one as the difference from onboard to dedicated card is insane. I love my X-fi card.

Meh, X-Fi and Fatal1ty are highly overrated.

Works great. The sound quality is very good and the crystallizer on the X-fi card is to die for.

Ah thanks, I realize that now, I swore I've seen 'Hybrid SLI' on the Apple site but looking back It's not there, my mind is tricking me, anyways it's not a major issue at all. 8GB of DDR3 is cool but $600 for 2x 4GB DIMM's isn't lol. The only gaming that will be done on the machine will most likely be a match of Age of Empires III, maybe some L4D,Call of Duty 5 Co-Op, and possibly the Sims 3 (my girlfriends digital crack)
Most of the usage of the laptop will be for graphic arts projects.

Get a good set of speakers and compare HDAudio onboard or AC'97 to the same speakers on a good X-Fi card and you'll really hear the difference.
I have the X-Fi Xtreme Audio - I love this card, my shit sounds so good!

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE - Best Price/Sound Performance Sound card IMO Me and my friend have one and we both have 5.1 speakers and its fucken amazing quailty especially with CMSS 3D Stereo Surround :aaaaa:
Not at all, at least that is my opinion.
Reasons why, well, the reason i don't really like the cm690 is that it generates so much sound i can hear it almost from the other room, I didn't care about the led or the amount of dust.
