Definitely a huge improvement.
Is there much space behind the motherboard tray? Have you considered going on the case?
There is a gap big enough for some cables, but unfortunately I don't have access to any tools that could cut into it :frown: Maybe my university has a workshop...
Also, I despise molex connectors :bang:
My new one is sitting in boxes still :3

And you are the only person that can probably prove that I am not some kid charging up a credit card to buy a computer. You should see my other thread. Apparently im a kid charging a computer I will never be able to pay back. People dont know about our money situations :S and the concept of building credit.

Hey, I get what you're doing. That's why I place a lot of my computer purchases on my credit card. It really helps out sometimes. I only do that though when I've got the cash to pay it off.

Coolermaster Elite 330
Athlon 6000+
Stock cooler (except for the 'new' 80mm fan I cable tied on, as the orginal 60mm was so loud I could hear it over my music)
4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer 800MHz
Foxconn M61PMV (ugh)
Palit HD 4670 512mb
Thermaltake Toughpower 600w
Seagate Barracuda 250GB IDE
That RAM is annoying.

The lights? They're nowhere near that bright, It's just my crappy phone's camera can't cope properly.
No I just think it's annoying.
[editline]02:10PM[/editline]
I know it's not that bright, a friend of mine has a couple sticks.

It's like your computer is about to burst into flames.
Ok I've got some of mine, they're pretty big, sorry.

Sorry, I can't seem to get media tags to work with them ("unsupported media") - Dropbox isn't working full stop...? Urgh I'll photobucket them. Also note, the Scythe kaze fan controller isn't scratched, it's the flash.
As you can guess I love cable braiding. My cable management isn't fully done yet, I haven't had the will to do it yet as it took me a lot of effort to get this done.
You see, my first attempt ended in disaster, the graphics card blew up and destroyed the motherboard too.

Graphics card and motherboard respectively.
Those cost around £250 to replace and then I found the power supply was dead too (or rather the power to it's PCI connectors was) so that cost another £115 to replace with the new one. This spanned over about two weeks, it was supposed to take around 2 days. It's also why my PC is just sitting in the middle of my room as I'm going to leave it like that for a week or so, so I can watch it like a hawk. (the first leak was after having tested for 24 hours solid so I was paranoid it'd do the same).
Once I've got all the videos I took of it worked out I'll post those/a link to my tube channel. Anyway my build is:
Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz (around 44-49C at full load, haven't been bothered to try higher yet)
1Gb 4870 XFX fac o/c (will OC later) , doesn't go above 43(ish)C.
Corsair HX 750W PSU, it's awesome, modular and flat cables and up to eight 8 pin PCI power connectors.
Bernstein audio module onboard sound card (the small black one) for Mic
Creative (insert generic number list here) sound card, supports 7.1
4Gb DDR2 1066Mhz OCZ RAM
DFI LT X48 T2R motherboard (love it)
Then on the watercooling side I have:
Aquagrafix 4870 waterblock (it's so sleek)
Swiftech Apogee GTZ for CPU
Swiftech MCW-21 or something Northbridge cooler
3 x 120mm Thermaochill Rad
3 x 120mm Yate loon (max 2100rpm according to Kaze master ace fan controller, running at 1530)
If you have any questions just ask, I'll be happy to answer.
Also tip for those who are looking to go watercooling, Compression fittings like mine look a lot nicer than barbs (I've got 4 barbs in there due to various reasons) but they cost like 1.5 times more and from what I've had are more prone to leaking when you're testing, but of course once it's leak tested that problem goes away.
Well don't get me wrong, you've done a decent job so far. But with the lower portion I'd look at hiding more of the HDD wires if you can, possibly fabricating something to slip over the bays if possible. I believe you stated the space behind them is too small to reverse mount the drives.
I'd also look into hiding the front panel wires if you can. Possibly extending them or something so they don't look stretched. You may also want to look at hiding those wrapped up cables that are in the upper half of the case, they look like they're for USB/FireWire purposes.
Yeah I really don't know what to do with those cables at the top left (they are USB/FireWire, like you said). They are WAY too long. I just left them the way that they came, but I'm really not sure what to do with them. I could potentially hide them behind the far 5.25" drive rails/mounts (whatever you call them), and then route the cables so they come out between the drive bays and the motherboard tray. I'll try a couple different things, I'll post some pics, etc. As for the hdd cables, I really can't do much. I'll toy around with them, but I don't think there is much potential for a cleaner job (without fabricating some kind of plate). I'll keep you posted.
I've just sprayed the interior of my case matte black, I saw a picture of one on the first page that had been done and I loved the look. I'll edit this post when I've taken some pictures.
I managed to do something with the USB/Firewire cables. I also re-routed the power cables for the motherboard and video card to a different hole so all of the cables that come up from the bottom chamber (except for the ones that are routed behind the motherboard) are coming through that single hole as opposed to two separate holes. I think I like the other way better though.

Second pic sucks, I know.
I laughed at the size of the V8 cooler once I got it onto the motherboard and into the case.

Sorry for the cell picture :S

I agree, other way was better because it didn't have those big cables crossing over your RAM. Nice improvement in the other areas (PSU section and firewire cables).
The PSU area looks the same :v:

Yep. I have one too and they're massive – barely fits in my case. It's an amazing cooler though, I run my CPU at a stable 4.0ghz and it keeps it around mid 40s in the hot weather we're having in the UK at the moment. It's amazingly quiet too.
Eager to see that thing put together, especially with twin 4890s; I have one of them too.

You might want to quote Brodi's post. Because otherwise people aren't going to know what the fuck you're talking about.

I know, when I looked up his previous post I didn't scroll down enough to see the newer picture. In any case it is a nice improvement.

You should put all that in Thermaltake's rainbow case :v:
