Check out some of the wacky things i picked up at an odd Japanese dollar store while in Hawaii, I ended up spending about $20 on a dozen or so crazy confusing objects to take home. Here, try and figure out what the hell this puzzle is, [img_thumb]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/confuser.jpg?t=1246597741[/img_thumb] And you've got to love the agressive sponge man logo on this gem, [img_thumb]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/confuser2.jpg?t=1246597770[/img_thumb]

Nice. How does it cool, by the way? [editline]01:52AM[/editline] I just realized that I knew exactly what cooler that was off the top of my head. I need to spend less time on the internet.
No Ajacks, please, don't take pictures, you're gonna make my jealousy meters go through the roof.
Nice computers, guys. Sadly, I really can't take picture of my system, if I open it, I have a little warranty problem! :(
The motherboard is designed for workstations, so think SCSI cards, RAID cards, and other shit. Somebody might put a Tesla card in, for example, and that uses PCI-E x16 2.0.
Ah I understand now, I thought it was just another gaming motherboard :downs:
Are you passively cooling that heatsink? I can't see a fan :S
Can someone answer that ^
I guess he is until his parents buy him a fan.
Can someone answer that ^
Yes but if he has the proper airflow, he doesn't need a fan directly attached. Man I am aching to see someone get the EVGA X58 3x SLI Classified Mobo. I made a wishlist on newegg with color coded parts so the all match :P It's depressing that I could get the same system I have (more or less) for 300 less on newegg with an i7 (currently q9550) Ahhh! I want it so bad! http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=10075745
Nice computers, guys. Sadly, I really can't take picture of my system, if I open it, I have a little warranty problem! :(
Wtf? Unless it's a laptop that is completley retarded...
Wtf? Unless it's a laptop that is completley retarded...
I think so too, but it was a hugh money-waster, so I don't run any chances.
I think so too, but it was a hugh money-waster, so I don't run any chances.
how the hell are you supposed to clean dust out
Started the slow proccess of OC'ing. Reached 4.2 stable really easy. im confused as to why my CPU speed in 3D mark shows only 3.4 when CPUZ and the Bios show 4.2??? any ideas? Here is what im talking about :/

Okay, I re-routed the cables back to the way they used to be. I think I'm finally done with my cable management (for now, at least).
You ain't getting it cleaner.
Eh, he could.
But not by much - Unless your planning on having no cables at all.
Chopping. [editline]07:05PM[/editline] Not to mention the lower half of the case has room for improvement as well. So yes, he could make it neater.
At this point though, it's almost pointless to make it neater.
Chopped at the motherboard tray some more, primed and started painting the rest of the parts today, ill be painting the opposite sides tomorrow. Looking promising there Panda, can't wait to see the final product.
I laughed at the size of the V8 cooler once I got it onto the motherboard and into the case. Sorry for the cell picture :S
you call that massive? you should see my Thor's Hammer
Meh, it can at least run crysis at high, with shaders down and shit. The main problem is that I only have 2 gigs of DDR2, which I plan to double pretty soon. Other than crysis though, everything runs amazingly. First build actually, and it makes me think that people who pay 2000$ for their computers just do it so they can brag. (or drool, sitting at their desk) Rig was 600$ and runs like a dream with the GPU at 40 degrees. I've also added another fan since taking that picture. Oh, and what do you guys think of my wire management for a first timer?
I'm not one to judge, but it's not very good at all, seeing as how they're still very visible.

Also, that power supply looks pretty damn shitty.
Specs? Also, that power supply looks pretty damn shitty.
-snip- The PSU is a PSI, 600w. Really good for gaming, and remember I'm only running 1 cpu, 1 gpu and some other hardware, all in singles, nothing overclocked rediculously, so I don't need anything more. Specs: -Core2Duo 2.6ghz -2GB ddr2 -CFG 9800gt (pre-clocked without the heat issues) -1tb hdd not much else important. edit: I'm actually pretty surprised at what this thing can run. 9800gt has really become a budget card.

And I agree about the graphics card prices, my first 4870 was around £210 when I bought it, now they're selling for half that.
Since when do power supplies affect gaming performance?
They don't, but they affect overheating, and you can run anything extremely graphics heavy on a shity PSU, but your GPU's gonna overheat, thus; better PSU's are better for gaming. Pretty simple stuff here.

It's going to overheat if it's not being cooled well enough (shit fan/heatsink, bad airflow in the case, the GPU is overclocked) not because of a low quality PSU. A low quality PSU is far more likely to blow up and take other parts out with it, the power it outputs will probably fluctuate which can cause other parts to blow up, it won't actually output enough power and/or your computer will turn off as soon as there's a fluctuation in input power (like what happened where I am during a recent storm).
