My TRUE just arrived. It's fucking huge. -massive cooler- On a side note, does anyone know how to get the fans off? I want to rejig the fan placement.
I'd be afraid to put that in my system, looks heavy enough to tear the CPU socket right off the mobo even with a mounting bracket :aaaaa:
Heh, Thermalright actually recommends against using the TRUE Copper (100% copper) in an upright case.
I trust my P6T Deluxe V2 to support it :|
My RAID controller finally arrived today so I've been pretty busy getting it set up. Currently have four 500GB Barracudas in RAID 5. I'm have two more 500GB drives I'm planning to add but one is currently at Seagate for RMA and the other has my OS on it. I'm looking for a real super cheap SSD for my OS though so I can get all six 500GB drives in the array. Shit she needs a dusting badly, need to get some compressed air in there at some point and figure out how to organize those SATA cables. These things are such a bitch to maneuver around I'm afraid to bend them too much or put too much pressure on the little plastic connectors. My RAID card, a Dell PERC 5/i with 512MB ECC DDR2. It's a server pull, but only $150 CAD on Ebay with two SAS to SATA fanout cables. What a deal! Also swapped off the heatsink on the IOP333 with that blue one for a little extra cooling. Once the drives are finished formatting I'll get some benchmarks up.
RAID controllers are so expensive :\
RAID controllers are so expensive :\
You can get some pretty good deals if you buy used. It's probably one of the only computer components you should buy used because you'll save yourself a few hundred bucks and most of the time they're pulled from servers and still is very good condition anyway.
Psu came. Sweet box. Look how fancy this shit is, comes in it's own carrying pouch. Took forever to get all the cables to fit.
Pretty nice cable management for a non-modular PSU. Damn, just looking at the Micro-ATX motherboard and 4670 in that case makes me laugh.
I just shoved everything behind the case. My next gpu will probably be bigger then the mobo, that's gonna look odd.
Heh, my 9800GX2 looks like a black breezeblock.
I really don't understand why Micro ATX boards are so popular, they're cramped all to shit.
I didn't even notice it was a mico atx board when I bought it, it was just cheap.
I really don't understand why Micro ATX boards are so popular, they're cramped all to shit.
Mini P180 it's a P-series for stupidly cheap enough reason to get mATX for me
-pics-
Not bad overall...could be neater though :v:
My system is finally up in somewhat working shape again. Please ignore the slight cosmetic defects. there is a reason it's under my desk. It may be old but it's completely loaded down.

That case looks familiar...I think some of our test PCs at my college were built inside of that one.

Eh...who cares if it's a little scuffed up. No big deal, it's not like that's affecting the performance or anything.
Dude. He has 14, not 13. Jeez.
15. Four on the mobo, 10 on PCI cards, and one on the card reader
Nevermind, I didn't see the top slot. Too many god damn USB ports.

My current build. Basically all the parts of my previous build thrown in. And the whole shabang. I was thinking about buying the tsunami, I decided on the HAF though.

I don't like the 80mm fan(s).
