Still gonna stick to my Firefox.
The only reason I still use Firefox is ABP. Otherwise, it's a piece of shit compared to Chrome. However, Chrome sucks ass when it comes to dealing with Flash. Tabs always seem to freeze.

How about StumbleUpon? Is there a decent implementation of that yet or is it still the web-based shitty toolbar only?

The day SU comes out in the form of a real toolbar for Chrome is the day I uninstall Firefox.
Toolbars make me sick.
Toolbars make me sick.
I have yet to see a toolbar which improves the browser to which it is attached.
IE9 Beta 1 confirmed for September 15th. http://www.beautyoftheweb.com
It was confirmed about 2 months ago.
It was confirmed about 2 months ago.
15th August, but I forgot to post it in here
As you can see nobody uses Firefox anymore.
As you can see nobody uses Firefox anymore.
Or, everyone already uses firefox, and this it auto-updates, this it doesn't get any downloads, or you know, the counter might be borked.
hurr durr way to miss the joke
I didn't miss the joke, you did. The joke's on you!
Paul Thurrott has written an extensive review of the beta http://www.winsupersite.com/live/ie9_beta.asp This looks like the real deal, folks. I think the coolest thing is Website Owners can create their own jumplist to appear if their website is pinned to the taskbar.
And I expect only an handful of websites will pick up on all the cool features like thumbnail controls and jumplists. It's the same with every version of IE.
And I expect only an handful of websites will pick up on all the cool features like thumbnail controls and jumplists. It's the same with every version of IE.
Quite a few leading websites (those on the screen for example) have already implemented it.
Plenty of websites use webslices.
Download is live Windows 7, 32-bit Windows 7, 64-bit [editline]0[/editline] Making a jumplist is a piece of piss;
<meta name="msapplication-task" content="name=NAME;action-uri=URL;icon-uri=IMAGE" />
[editline]0[/editline] The tab bar doesn't expand if you open lots of tabs. The tabs just get smaller and smaller untill it goes to an icon. [editline]0[/editline] Actually, it squashes the address bar if you have more than 3 tabs open, which makes it impossible to see the URL of the site you're on. On the positive site, Google Reader is instant now. It lagged like fuck on IE8 waiting for all the javascript to load. [editline]0[/editline] It's official: The new AddressTab Bar(tm) sucks. It's IMPOSSIBLE to read what sites you have open. [editline]0[/editline] Here's how it looks in 1280x800 with a not unreasonable or uncommon 10 tabs open:
Beta is out. [editline]07:41PM[/editline] Damn ninja. [editline]07:53PM[/editline] I'm liking it so far. Pretty neat. Though something is wrong with the fonts on Facepunch. [editline]07:57PM[/editline] I like THAT. You can pin sites to your super bar in Windows 7, and when you click on them it opens a new window where the colors of the forward and back buttons are taken from the most prominant color in the favicon.
Welcome back Longhorn buttons. Haven't seen you since August 2004. [editline]03:16PM[/editline] Those tabs could easily fit in the caption bar. There's plenty of space there.
I just hate the explorers logo. Everyhing else seems cool.
I honestly might move from Chrome to IE9. Seems to be a decent browser for the first time.
Those tabs could easily fit in the caption bar. There's plenty of space there.
Yeah. I checked and it uses the exact same amount of screen space as Opera, even though Opera got tabs on their own bar. [editline]09:25PM[/editline] Though, I do still like it a lot. Will be decent for mothers and people not bothering to change. [editline]09:26PM[/editline] And startup time is absolutely superb, no question about it.
I'm using IE9 right now, I abosolutely love the new navigation buttons.
CSS 3 and HTML fucking 5? This is from microsoft, right?
facepunch needs a better icon so i can pin it to the taskbar
Opera is where its at.
that's cool, but this is a thread for ie9
Holy shit IE9 is fast at loading, beats chrome 3 times out of 5 on my computer (They're so close though, could just be Disk IO stopping them loading evenly)
