My HyperX Cloud 2 has fucked up cable, so now I have to wrap cable around the clip to avoid sound issues. The cable has really pissed me off over past year, any good major brand alternative? (Is wireless a thing?) Budget is 90-100 EUR. Country: Ireland. Purpose: Listening music (a lot), and Teamspeak (a lot too). I know OP says never buy headset, but I prefer headset, I don't make videos or anything that requires high voice quality, for me comfortability is best. Previous experience: I bought HyperX Cloud 2 exactly a year ago on black friday amazon sale. It server me well but the fact that my PC tower is on right side of desk while the fucking cable is running on left is really annoying as I always end up running cable over with chair. I have option of buying replacement cable for HyperX (They sell them for 20 Eur on their website) but buts gonna be another year till cable's a roadkill.

How long is the cable? [editline]when[/editline] Borrowing PredGD's desk pic.. Something like this but on a much smaller scale and with smaller cheaper parts? (It's the same one I have but I got black leg stands) But yeah I dont like the idea of that, cable is around 3 metres, but sometimes I stand up to switch on lights or pick up a mug. I was thinking of running it behind my chair and into PC but that's just asking for trouble.
It server me well but the fact that my PC tower is on right side of desk while the fucking cable is running on left is really annoying as I always end up running cable over with chair.
My cable is 3m long, I just have it going from PC on the right, over my lap then back up to the left of the cans, chair is high enough that it doesn't touch the ground on either side. Falls off sometimes but I don't roll over it anywhere near as much as I used to (and generally only run over the shitty mic wire).
My brother can get those Blue headphones ($350) for $200 so I'm definitely gonna take advantage of that.

(Hey there's an idea)

Budget: No budget. 100 bucks or 1000, if they last i dont mind. eBay: Preferably not. Country: Australia Isolation: Yes Purpose: To listen to some music without them disintegrating after 3 months of movement. Music Tastes: Metal, Rock, Jpop Vocaloid Nightcore Remixes, static Previous Experiences: Sadness I need a pair of headphones that are completely indestructible. The more desperate i become the more money im willing to spend. I need something that isnt going to have the sound fade and weaken over a short period of time from overuse, something where the headband doesnt slowly become so loose the headphones fall off if i dont face forwards at all times, and they need to go over my ears to block most outside noise. I might be expecting a miracle i dunno :ohno:

Are they okay-ish?

They're all closed-backs built like tanks and they all feature detachable cables so if your cables fail, you just replace it. The oppo pm3 is the beefiest and heaviest of the three, and has a forgiving, unoffending upper-end that makes excellent closed monitors, but retains that planar bass for fast and visceral impact depending on your source (Phone should be fine). The Meze is a warmer organic sound, great for bassy acoustical and classical in general, And its wooden cups give it lush low-end. And the V-moda crossfade offers the highest sound isolation (And highest clamp) with a V-shaped sound signature, great for edm and drone beats.
my lcd-2 arrive today and i am way too excited
So I just got my Sennheiser HD 558, but it feels like there's way too much bass. Everything sounds muffled. How do I adjust this? It sounds worse than my old pair of HD 201, is that even normal?
Make sure you don't have any EQ or "Dolby Surround" type shit enabled on your sound card / sound settings. 558's should outclass 201's by absolute miles.

All you really need is a small philips screwdriver. Post mod they're pretty much the same as the hd598's.

oh my god they are here they are beautiful im going to refrain on making any comments on the sound so far until im more used to it but by god the treble hurts
Yeah the 9kHz treble spike definitely has some bite to it. [editline]when[/editline] Also, if anyone enjoys measurements, I just finished making my measurement rig to record mod progress, here's my modded hd650's so far: [t]http://i.imgur.com/pjjA9aW.png[/t]
Can someone explain why I would get headphones that are 16 hz to 22khz over something that's 3hz to 100khz. Kinda trying to figure this out still
Average human hearing is 20-20kHz, those super crazy 3-100kHz is just gimmick-fluff so companies can slap the Hi-Res Audio™ sticker somewhere on the box.
That's what I figured. Still debating gave the momentum m2 a listen again today and it sounded better than the blue. Might just go with the momentum for the brand and looks [editline]25th November 2016[/editline] Kangaroo what are your suggestions. The other I looked at was a Sony which had significant more bass but was very much similar to the senn [editline]25th November 2016[/editline] http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-hi-res-over-the-ear-stereo-headphones-black/9377075.p?skuId=9377075 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sennheiser-momentum-m2-over-the-ear-headphones-black/3774167.p?skuId=3774167 Theres are my two choices now.
man the treble is just painful at times maybe i need to pair them with another amp or something (even tho as far as i'm aware magni 2 is pretty neutral..). is the dac upgrade on the jot worth it or should i just keep my modi and use it with that?

(Since shelved for the Oppo Pm2's)... so personally.. I have no idea, but looking at some measurement graphs, they both seem like decent candidates. Now, what you can do is check out your local Magnolia or uppity bestbuy to demo the Sony MDR1A's (Magnolia is located inside uppity BestBuys). That'd be my best advice, And while you're there, Magnolia typically has the Audioquest Nighthawk too, which is the funky darker stepchild of the Hd650's, give them a listen sometime.. They're definitely "interesting" Magnolia store locator: https://www.magnoliaav.com/locations/
I've demoed both the sony and the sennheiser. It's a tough call. The sony's have a bit more bass than the sennhesiers. It's really hard to tell otherwise though. I feel like I'd be happy with either. Do either have a dedicated amp in them? The sony's look like they take power but I really don't know if that is it or not.
Make comfort the deciding factor then. Which can you envision you'd wear pretty much all the time? Do you think you can wear for 8-10 hours a day? Which one looks easier to clean and maintain? Which one feels less noticeable on the head? Which one feels sturdier? (alright that last answer is probably the senn but that's besides the point) In terms of ampage, they're both low impedance, so they shouldn't need additional power.
Looking for a really good set of over-ear headphones for noise cancelling as I listen to music all day, including my commute on the noisy underground. I am drawn to the Bose Quiet Comfort 35, it has loads of good reviews, but is there a better set out there? I tried the QC35 the other day and in comparison to the QC25 it didn't seem as good in terms of noise cancelling, though it was hard to tell with just trying them on in store Thanks
Hmm but the blue has 48 ohms so would that make it an overall better pick since it also does have a built in amp? I'm so conflicted. Lol
