Be more specific, that could mean pretty much any budget haha
Less than £100 ideally
Soundmagic E10 @ £30 RHA T10i @ £60 (down from £120+ so these are a good deal atm) Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 @ £70 RHA MA750 @ £80 (Still decent, but the T10i are the direct upgrade from these and £20 cheaper) Shure SE215 @ £80 1More Triple Driver @ £100 Out of all of those, the T10i is probably the best headphone and among the cheapest - I'd take a skim through reviews for those and see which sounds the best fit to you.
So I got my HE-4XX's today. I feel like my AD700 have more bass than these for some reason...
Are you running them from an amp? They're low impedance overall, but the lower-end really improves with a bit more power.
Yeah, I have a Modi 2 Uber as a source and that is feeding to an Emotiva BasX A-100.
Hmm, weird. I'd double check your sources although it could just be the headphones. That being said, the HE-4XX doesn't have huge amounts of bass but the AD-700 are pretty notorious for lacking bass.
Budget: ~100 to 150 eBay: No Country: EU Isolation: Non-prefered Purpose: Gaming, voice chat, VR Music Tastes: All-round Previous Experiences: Cheap chinese stuff Comments: Wireless
Music Production and listening, budget up to 300 € , I wear glasses, I need them to be mobile, I play my guitar wired up to my laptop + Ableton Suggestions?
Man Schiit ship stuff fast. Magni was backordered to fuck when I got that so it took ages but the SYS and Loki were in stock so they shipped 5 hours after ordering which is more impressive when I noticed it was like 5AM in California when I ordered it. Looking forward to trying tubes and using the SYS for the complete opposite use case (1 in / 2 out instead of the intended 2 in / 1 out). Definitely going to annoy me that the cables won't be matched, noticed after I ordered it that a third 6" cable would've worked fine but ended up getting a 20" one instead. Might swap the lot over to Ghentaudio cables later as they look nicer (and sleeved!).
DT770s aren't ideal for audio production - too much of a V signature, and they're a pain to move around with the huge cable. Look into KRK KNS 6400/8400, Shure SRH1840 / 840, Sony MDR-7506, Focal Spirit Professional
yeah, it would seem like that, because they have higher bass distortion. Most music was certainly mastered for it. Planars have unusually low bass distortion and that throws off their bass performance with songs that were created for dynamics, which have higher distortion. You should see if you can swap for the HD6xx, which are likely to give you what you're looking for considering their overall tonal similarity to the AD700 with cleaner performance.
Ooh, finally a decent Bluetooth + aptX MMCX cable. That'll be good for gym. In other news, since I got a cheap pair of SE425s I decided to sell my SE535s since I don't find the difference worth the money. Wondering what else to buy instead. Winner for Campfire Audio Orions Baby for Oppo PM3 Snowflake for SE846 if I can find a good deal Good Idea for about 20 different Chi-Fi headphones Late for sticking to the SE425s + KZ ZSR and upgrading my Schiit stack
But that doesn't mean planars aren't capable of good bass, just that they need the distortion to be in the file instead of producing it in the diaphragm. Here's a clip from a problematic song on my planars: Playing And here it is with more harmonic distortion in the bass (turn it up, it's quieter): Playing
Anyone wants a ridiculously good deal on some already good planars.... HiFiMan HE-400i @ £59.99 - that's a ridiculous £300 off (for 24 hours)
Sold out already surprising nobody.
So my KZ ZSRs arrived today. I'm seriously impressed for the price, sound-wise they're equal or better to SE215s (albeit slightly less comfortable) for £15. Tempted to buy one of their higher-end models now. In other news, I finally found an Ebay seller with a left SE425 earpiece so I can make a full set. Not sure whether to keep those, or sell them along with my 535s and get some CA or something. Blargh. Choices.
Alright, so I'm looking for a pair of over ear headphones, preferably under or around $100, for both professional use and for listening to music. I've been doing a lot post-production editing with a little bit of sound work so something that's comfortable to wear for hours on end, but still sound decent enough for listening to music. I've been recommended Sony MDR 7506s, and I've used them before, they're pretty nice, but I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions that were either cheaper or better quality for the same purpose.
ATH-M40X / M50X could be an option around that budget too.
Budget: Up to 150 or slightly more. Country: US Purpose: Music and general gaming purposes. Music Tastes: EDM, Metal, Synth based. Previous Experiences: Been using a JVC-RX700 for the past 4 years, finally crapping out a times due to cable wear and need a good quality replacement. Been looking at either the DT770 or the ATH-50x.
http://thestandard.com.ph/news/top-stories/264368/airport-agents-seize-p20-million-drug-shipment-.html Schiit is really branching out.
so it actually came FROM schiit? meaning, schiit is genuinely trying to traffic drugs?
Nah someone managed to get into their Fedex account and use it to send third party shipments. They lost their Fedex account for a few days until Fedex realised they hadn't actually sent anything themselves and set them up with a new one.
So I took a gamble on Chinese in-ear monitors and bought the VSD1S. The sub-bass is excellent, but they have less treble compared to my old Phillips SHE3900. I'm pretty sure that the Phillips earbuds just have a v-shaped response for consumers and the VSD1S has a more flat response. My mixes have been somewhat below the 3dB/oct standard, so maybe this will make me compensate more in the treble department.
Budget: Preferably less than a $100 eBay: No Country: US Isolation: Closed Purpose: Music, Gaming, Voice chat Music Tastes: General Purpose, I like a good mix of everything Previous Experiences: Logitech G35
Huh, so I just got a £240 refund for my HE-400S since they broke and Amazon didn't have a replacement in stock. Today, they appear in stock at £180. Still debating whether to pick up the same though. V-Moda M100s look interesting at £200, or there's the Momentum 2.0s at around £180 too. Argh, choices.
If you like bass and want a set of wireless cans with noise canceling, I can't recommend these enough: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-XB950N1-Wireless-Canceling-Headphones/dp/B01MUGEYT7/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1526666389&sr=8-3&keywords=sony+xb950n1 The price may seem obnoxious but you can get them refurbished from Sony as well for under $100 https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Wireless-Bluetooth-Cancelling-Headphones/dp/B071JW71M9/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1526666389&sr=8-5&keywords=sony+xb950n1
Budget: $60 eBay: Sure Country: USA Isolation: Closed Purpose: Would be nice to have something decent for good music listening but im not a mega audiophile nerd, otherwise just basic voice chat and gaming Music Tastes: Future Funk and Future House mostly, some synthwave. I like punk rock on occasion but the formers take priority Previous Experiences: Comments: Needs to cover ears, anything that doesn't is absolutely no
Budget: 50 euros eBay: Amazon please Country: Spain Purpose: For listening music in my iPod, either in a gym or outside/inside home. Comments: Looking for a decent bluetooth one. My earpods are near to die soon and my iPod Nano has some kind of shitty jack so I have to rotate every earbud I put on it.
Budget: £30-50 eBay: Preferably new Country: UK Isolation: Circumaural Purpose: Gaming, general media (TV, film) and voice chat Music Tastes: Fairly eclectic, nothing specifc as not really a music person Previous Experiences: Turtle Beach x12, before that just cheap basic headsets Comments: My last pair broke after one of the earcups came off when I set it down on my desk in a hurry to get the door, so something sturdy would be great
