Ah, that's a big issue for me. I accidentally drop headphones a lot.
What's a decent pair of headphones for about £30-40 with detachable cables
Got sick of my laptop intermittently outputting noise over USB to my DAC (which works perfectly on my phone and desktop so I'm 85% sure it's not the DAC) and swapped to the optical mustard race. Everything has been working perfectly ever since, not a single instance of garbage coming out of the laptop any more and sample rate changes are about 10x faster (bit perfect WASAPI event out of fb2k, 24/192 on default output for games or browsing) so there's no longer over a second of silence between songs.
Picked up one of these too so I can switch between my devices and since it's optical and doesn't give a single fuck if it is actually connected to something everything just werks, bonus mute button.
i have Razer kraken pro v2 (its not usb) i wont hear any sounds when i plug it in and i have tried to chance it from setting but nothing, i already checked that they worked on my phone. am i just dumb or is razer just bad?
Sounds like the problem is with your PC / PC settings.
any common mistakes i could have done? i have searched for fix for quite some time
Lots of common small errors that could be it.
Windows muted / volume 0
Program muted / volume 0
Incorrect output device selected
Output device settings fucked up
Output device driver fucked up
So, my SRH-440s died after about 4 or 5 years.
Budget: Preferably less than a $200
eBay: If new or refurb.
Country: USA
Isolation: Closed or open, want to try open
Purpose: Music, gaming, music, movies
Music Tastes: Trance, D&B, post-rock, metal. Kind of all over.
Previous Experiences: Shure SRH-440, Logitech G35, RP-HTF600-S
I currently have a Xonar DSX as I needed a dedicated sound card for my ModMic v4 for some reason, onboard audio on my Gigabyte board is kind of shit anyway
I'm looking for something mostly neutral in terms of sound balance, maybe slightly warm.
I've never used open before but I rather want to try it as I've heard the wider soundstage is a big improvement for gaming and these won't be going out with me.
Asking some friends has pointed me towards these and these (closed tho) so far, and someone who just vaguely said "Grados" without giving me a model, and most of the models I've seen are kind of on the pricier side.
I also got an ever so convenient email from Massdrop about the 6xx for $200 but they won't ship until September. And if I did decide to get the, I don't have anything that can drive them well from my limited knowledge of headphone audio and I don't particularly want to spend more money on an amp or anything.
