I got a Audio-Technica ATH-M40FS and a Zalman clip-on mic for around $45. How did I do?
I'm looking for headphones that I can use while out and about. Something that doesn't have a 10 foot long wire, preferably able to be disconnected at both ends. I've got a budget of 80$-100$. As a bad example, I always see other people at school wearing their Beats around, and I want some quality headphones to use like that. Beats are pretty comfortable around my head, so probably something in a similar range. Just not Beats, of course
Looking for a decent USB DAC for my denon AH-D2000s, any suggestions for me?
I use my M-50s like that. With the coiled cable, it is only about 3 or 4 feet. They are about 1000x more comfortable and better sounding than Beats. They are also built MUCH better. If you wait for a sale or look on Ebay, you can snag a pair for $100.

Do you want it portable?

thank you so much, just what I was looking for
MassDrop has some deals on amps.
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fiioe9k-desktop-amp - Fiio E09K
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fiioe17-portable-amp-dac - Fiio E17
Really want that E09K.
Budget: I'm on a super cheap budget I prefer around $50 no higher than $100 but try to keep away from $100
eBay: No
Country:United States
Isolation: Circumaural ? I don't care really just has to be comfortable
Purpose: Everything, Mostly Gaming and Music
Music Tastes: Once again everything mainly, Metal, Funk, Hip-Hop.
Previous Experiences: TRITTON AX 180 STEREO GAMING HEADSET : Not clear, not enough bass, Uncomfortable.
Comments: Must have great bass
Circumaural: Covers the ears
So, I need some help in deciding if this is technically feasible and/or a smart idea. I have an old guitar amp that has a 3.5mm input and a 1/4" output for headphones. My new M-45s have a 1/4" connector, so would it be possible to use my amp as a preamp for my headphones? The only knob that effect the 3.5mm passthrough is the master volume one, otherwise the signal is untouched.

Make an account. It is worth it.
Looks more like art instead of earphones.

You should've added these pictures too.
But quickly googled them and they look to be custom made IEMs, cool.
SonofBrim;41167665']I strongly recommend the JVC HA-RX700 headphones. They're gigantic and ugly as all hell, but I absolutely love how they sound, and most of the internet seems to agree. I got these with similar budget/interests, and I haven't been disappointed.

Also, for those of you looking for cheap microphones, I got this microphone. It has pretty bad reviews, but only by a few people, so I figured that for $10 it was worth the risk. Turns out that, in my opinion, this is probably the best microphone I've ever had for $10, let alone under $30.
Here's a test recording without any clean-up/adjustments/boosting.

This is a podcast microphone, so it's a bit more cumbersome than a clip-on, but it's got awesome sound quality for $10.
This looks like a great setup, just damn while your voice recording is awesome those reviews are really off putting. Oh well think I'm going to order both today anyways, since it has been 5 days, how is the mic holding up?

No problems after about 7 months. Like I said, I may just be lucky, and I don't know how their service is if a part takes a shit on you, but for $10 I think it's worth the risk.

It takes two seconds and it's worth it. MassDrop is a pretty awesome site and they have a ton of audio deals (and other stuff).
Well never mind about my previous posts considering Newegg doesn't ship to Canada :( and since I don't just want to buy a random headphone by reading the posts in the thread and deciding well...

hey i've currently got this mic
but the swivel is broken, and it tends to clutter up my desk
is there a clip on mic that could match the quality of the mic?

I own that mic, it's awesome. The swivel is nearly broken as well though :( it only stays at the perfect angle.

Shure 440, MDR-V6 or KNS6400, unsure about Canadian prices though.

Hey guys are Sennheiser HD 598 worth the ridiculous price? Or am I just throwing money away here?
Hey guys are Sennheiser HD 598 worth the ridiculous price? Or am I just throwing money away here?
I have them. They're worth it. I used HD 555's for about two years before upgrading to them and the 598's are just amazing.
Budget: $120~ max
eBay: Wouldn't mind
Country: USA
Isolation: closed is preferable
Purpose: Gaming and Music
Music Tastes: Kinda an "all around" guy.
Previous Experiences: turtle beach x32, thought I could use it with PC, I could, but at certain frequencies, the speakers pop[sub][sub][sub]I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT, NO NEED TO POINT IT OUT[sub]Also, if you like, throw boxes at me.[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
Extra: Please have it wireless. Wires get in my way way too often.
Thank you for your time.
I'd like to buy a Panasonic RP-HTF600-S and a Zalman Zm-Mic1, but as it turns out, Amazon ship neither to Australia any more. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can buy them (international or local) that'll ship to Australia?
Hey guys, you know the modded headphones DT does, what's the best EQ settings? Sometimes I feel the audio gets muffled the more instruments that are playing. Sounds perfect if it's just the voice and one instrument in the background, then kinda gets muffled when it gets hectic.
[editline]4th July 2013[/editline]
I still think I may need an amp. Xonar DX doesn't have anything to help with headphones, it's more for 5.1
