Got a pair of headphones from College as part of my consumables. Sennheiser HD 201. In this thread's opinion, how good are they? I think they're awesome, personally.
Got a pair of headphones from College as part of my consumables. Sennheiser HD 201. In this thread's opinion, how good are they? Alright guys, i'm looking for a quality sounding pair of headphones. My budget is under $200. I was thinking about a pair of sennheisers, but idk Any other brands you guys can recommend?
Which one do you guys recommend? ATH-M50 A700x
I have $20 (in Australian dollars) on a prepaid VISA card. Any uber-cheap headphones/earphones worth buying? Not really that fussed on specifics, since they won't be my primary headphones (have my AKG K500s for that.) Considered Monoprice, but the shipping is absurdly expensive to Australia. Like $35-40 for a $7 pair of IEMs.
Is this the right place to ask about mics?
Is this the right place to ask about mics?
Best place you'll find.
I'm looking for a mic that does not pick up a lot of backround noise around $70
Which one do you guys recommend? ATH-M50 A700x
If portability matters, M-50. Otherwise A700x. [editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
I'm looking for a mic that does not pick up a lot of backround noise around $70
USB? XLR? What?
Preferably 3.5mm, I use will use it mostly for gaming and Skype.
I have the m50's and happy with them. But im looking for something cheap with more bass that isn't a pain to carry around.
Budget: Let's say $200 max as a rough point eBay: If necessary Country: USA Isolation: Circumaural Purpose: Pretty much everything. TV, music, movies, games, etc. I want some good, comfortable headphones for a dorm room to avoid bugging my roommate. Not very concerned with portability since I have earbuds. Music Tastes: Most things. I'd like a bit of bass but I'm not too hung up on it and clarity is what's most important to me. Previous Experiences: Just a pair of Brainwavz M2. I'm pretty pleased with them for what it's worth.
What's the best pair of IEM's I can get for <$150 (upping my budget now) I listen to lyrical music, indie and folk with some electronic and once in a blue moon rap. These will be driven by a nexus 7 as well thanks
Okay guys I went through and bought the a700x, anyone have any ideas for a mic? I've looked at the mod-mic (it's a bit pricey) and I don't really like clip-ons. I use my microphone daily on ventrilo / skype.

M-50s are more portable, but thats about it.
Is there a big difference between the 80 and 250 ohm version? I don't know a lot about audio. edit: nevermind
Is there a big difference between the 80 and 250 ohm version? I don't know a lot about audio. edit: nevermind
The 250ohm ones are less muddy iirc but they require more power to drive.
anyway i bought the dt-770 pro 80 ohm headphones, my first 'good' headphones i guess. will leave my opinion on them when i get them
Budget: 100$ - 200$ eBay: Negative Country: Isolation: Circumaural Purpose: Gaming, Music, Voice Chat Music Tastes: Mainly DnB, Electronic, and Metal/Rock. Previous Experiences: $50 headsets - The last time I splurged on a headset was the Steelseries Siberia V2 Comments: I already have the Blue Yeti and since I cannot use my 5.1 system when I move; i'm looking for something comfy that I can wear for long periods of times. I also do work for an electronics department of which I can get 20% off prices. Main brands we carry for higher end are Shure - Klipsch - and Sennheiser.

Read on an Amazon review that the Superlux HD 681 are one of the best budget headphones you can get. Anyone know how true that is and how they compare to the Panasonic RP HTF 600S?

They're really durable and have pretty good sound. They can be uncomfortable though so just be careful of that.
HD598 perhaps - but I'm not sure how good they are for bass.
I have them, they're okay for bass, but 100hz area is completely missing. I switch between these and dt250s when I'm producing mainly for the soundstage (and I produce dnb.) They lack impact but they have bass for definite, they have a lot of mids though. For gaming absolutely, 100% recommended. but for listening to dnb and electronic not so much. They'll still sound good but there's better options, I'd get them if I were going to be playing games where positional accuracy matters more than listening to dnb and electronic because to me, personally, metal and rock sounds fairly good through them.
