So USPS decided to send my headphones that were almost here to a city 3 hours away
All my rage
They then shipped it to a neighboring city and then back to said city 3 hours away, holy mother of god.
Budget: 20 - 80Fr.
eBay: ?
Country: Switzerland
Isolation: Supra-Aural or Circumaural
Purpose: Gaming and Browsing
Music Tastes: deadmau5, Daft Punk, Justice, Goldfish
Previous Experiences: I had and still have cheap headphones
Comments: I don't wanna have a microphone.
Budget: $50-ish.
Country: USA
Isolation: no preference
Purpose: Listening to music from Android Phone. I do this a lot, so I'd like to invest a little.
Music Tastes: Sly and the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd
Previous Experiences: earbuds, cheap sony headphones. No experience with high quality sets.
I'd prefer not to spend too much more than 50, but I'm happy to look at options near that price range if the difference in quality is substantial, perhaps even higher.
Just a quick question out of curiousity (no i'm not considering these) but do the Astro a40's, razer tiamat, etc have true surround sound. I thought surround wasn't possible unless it was simulated.

Imo simulated surround is the one you should get since you only have two ears so two drivers at close
proximity should be able to do everything. So with real surround you'll be sacrificing the driver size
because you'll have to fit a butt ton of them into a small space.
I have £250 to spend
Wanting good all round headphones, comfort is a must, design matters somewhat as I would like to wear them outside and around. Dont want anything heavy or clunky that's a piss take to take off and pack away. Would like the cord to be detachable but this isn't a must.
I do listen to a lot of bass heavy music (Lots of hip-hop, rap and EDM) so I want them to be good for that but at the same time I don't want anything that overpowers the bass to the point where it ruins the overall quality.
Considered the Over ear momentums but Im not entirely sure if they are worth the money
GO GO GO!
Alright, now I'm torn between:
ATH-M50s
http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U
and
SRH440s
http://www.amazon.com/Shure-SRH440-Professional-Studio-Headphones/dp/B002DP1FTU
I would mainly use whatever I get for music (pretty much any genre) and games/tv shows.
I also prefer comfort and sound isolation over sound quality, though for both of these I can imagine the sound is fine.
Any suggestions?
I'm planning to buy Corsair Vengence 2000 today. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you're buying a headset.
Yes, you're buying a headset.
Whats wrong with headsets if they're built good? The concept of headsets doesn't seem bad to me.
Still not sure about the quality of V2000 though.
should i buy a steelseries siberia v2 ?

Generally, a headset is basically a poor quality set of headphones combined with a poor quality microphone and marketed to gamers with a 300% markup.

Because headsets are targeted towards gamers and most shit marketed towards gamers like mice, kb, headsets, are shit. Buy a good soundcard/amp and get a pair headphones that fit you. Also, another note bout headsets, their mics are usually fucking awful. Want an example? Listen to the Razer Tiamat mic on youtube, I found $10 mic that sounds better.. and the Tiamat is $170+

No right now I havn't gotten my headphones yet so right now i'm still wearing my Siberia V2's and their earcups are uncomfortable. Hurts the top part of my ear after only an hour of play. Sound on them is ok, atleast for music.. the mic sounds ok but it's floppy and annoying and looks ugly.
I don't really agree with you guys but I'm not here to argue. I'm looking for some alternatives. Are Pioneer a well known brand?
Are these any good?

Else, are these worth paying more for?

Either I'm looking at a bit to expensive stuff or stuff is just generally expensive here

Are we using the same headset?
Are we using the same headset?
Basically, I have the Frost edition, although i'm guessing you have the regular version.
Mine's the regular yeah, but It's not uncomfortable and the Mic isn't floppy. I like that you can hide it in the headset out of the way when you aren't using it. I've only had them for about a month though so I don't know how they are in the long run, but right now I've got no complaints.
I got my Sony MDR-MA900's set up with a Modmic 3.0 awwyiss.
I would be lying if I said I didn't miss the convenience of my wireless Logitech G930 but positional audio is so good and hot damn does music sound amazing through these phones.
What amp would go well with a pair of Ultrasone HFI-580s?
Just got some dt770s. Now I should probably invest in an amp a little better than my e6.
Does anyone know how to repair headphones? I just got the new ones from my summer camp in England and one of the headphone's rubber is starting to break and i can see the wire. I'd like to repair it so they last longer, but i don't know how? Does anyone have any kind experience with this? Please :)
If your new headphones are starting to break down I think it's time for a refund. What model anyway
One question on the top of my head, what's the difference between a DAC and a ODAC?
ODAC is the name of this DAC design.
One question on the top of my head, what's the difference between a DAC and a ODAC?
It's more objective than your subjective interpretation could ever imagine.

I have Porta Pro 2s, which are essentially the same thing, and I love them. Other people can hear the music at louder volumes though.. The bass is pretty good, and I think the sound is excellent. They're portable too (obviously).
