Budget:$100
eBay: no thanks
Country: Canada
Isolation: circumaural i guess?
Purpose: listening at home, on bus
Music Tastes: jazz, rock, hip hop, lots of genres really
Previous Experiences: no real experience except $10 headphones
Comments:
These will be used on the bus. I am looking for something that has decent noise isolation. The ATH M50 is what I am really looking at. Not looking to spend more than $100 really but can over a little.
Thanks in advance
welp, i have no idea how but my JVC HA-RX700s that i got in july are fucked up
the, i dunno what you call it, connector/gold piece, is bent and the only way to get it to work properly is it fidget with it and bend it around a little
i think one of my cats may have messed with my cord because i found the headphones on the floor and the cord halfway across the room
seems surprising that the thing would bend that easily though, is that pretty normal?
can't return them either and i don't think i can get a refund

jacks are easy to replace, but if you bought them recently you can probably exchange them
jacks are easy to replace, but if you bought them recently you can probably exchange them
you can replace the actual piece in the cord?
Swapped to OPA627 opamp in output stage amplifier. Sound got so much better.
I need something under 100$ (in US prices. This might get too high tho, consider 75$ too) for basically:
- Gaming, I'm a shooter addict.
- Power Metal
- Hair Metal
- Hard Rock
- Grunge
- Celtic Music
- Bossa Nova
I'm currently on Brazil, options range from AKG to Sennheiser methinks. I'll probably be using my onboard audio. (Asus m5a97 LER2, using the REALTEK ALC887 audio codec)
I've been looking at either the AKG K44V2 or the SennHeiser HD202. Any opinions?

Audio Technica T400 for $36. Free shipping to within the US.
I know nothing when it comes to buying headphones, but I have around £50 to spend & my current headphones just died
They're going to be exclusively used in public with my iPod so zero noise leakage (closed air) & good durability is a must
If you really need to know my music preference then it's: Ska/punk, techno & a bit of indie stuff
I also live in the UK
So can anyone recommend some for me?
Budget:£100
eBay:No Thanks
Country:UK
Isolation:Open OR Closed (I honestly don't care)
Purpose: Playing Games, listening to music (Being taken out of the house if closed)
Music Tastes: Rock Music, old game music, orchestrated music
Previous Experiences: Grado SR-60i
Comments: I'm getting my SR-60i fixed but I'm looking at my options should they start to display signs of breakage again. Should be noted that I really like the clarity of them and I can't put enough emphasis on build quality. I want it to be as durable as a IBM Model M because I'm sick to death of audio equipment crapping out on me.
I need something to talk on skype, and the Microsoft LX-3000 seems like a good way to not have to rely on my shit integrated card that never wants to work. Any objections/better options?
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but I'm in need of a mic for gaming purposes. I'd prefer a tabletop one, and I have $25 USD to spend. Suggestions?

thinking of getting this to go with m50's, and eventually modded fostex
y/n?
My XB-500's need new cables. I'd just buy new ones if new ones weren't ~$100 US right now. Does anyone know of any easy ways to re-cable these? My mom thinks she can but if anyone KNOWS they can and can do it, let me know.

I'm in the same boat, finding a Y cable to replace cords on is really difficult. I'm going to avoid headphones with y cables in the future. My current idea is to purchase a 3.5mm to RCA cable http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021817&p_id=9768&seq=1&format=2 and cut the RCA ends off, and put some heatshrink on the tips for the part of the wire going into the headphone for protection.
The Y split on it is really big looking though, so I'm kinda thinking of just getting a basic 2 wire one like
http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=1#largeimage
and putting heatshrink at the y split to keep it from moving, but the 3.5mm plug is kinda ugly, could always redo that as well.

I'm also considering buying a cheap pair of headphones with a y split and taking it from that, probably a better idea.
i have a set of rcas i cut the ends off of already, and they have a female port. So all I'd need is a male to male extender and it'd work too.
I've decided I'm just going to go to the dollar store and buy a few hedaphones and replace it with one of those, that's probably the easiest switch. Just have to open the headphones and do some light soldering
omg it's so nice to have my creative aurvana live working again they sound so gosh dang good
used the wire on a broken pair of monoprice IEMs, the cable's really high quality looking and matches the headphones perfectly (black and silver)
Well I guess I know how to get my XB's working again now. Thanks bud.
Found this today, figured someone here might enjoy it. http://tunein.com/radio/320KB-Plus-c1267347/
I used to pay for Spotify premium to get 320kbps radio, even then only the popular songs were in 320kbps. Now I'll just use this and save myself $12 a month.
whats the best gaming headset for like max 299 bucks
or what headphones and modmic or shit
Budget: Ain't no substitute for quality though thinking something like 150-250-300 or so.
eBay: no
Country: Denmark
Isolation: Any as long as it blocks a fuckton.
Purpose: FPS(ARMA, etc)
Music Tastes: Metal and older DnB, Ska.
Comments: I'm looking for a pair that blocks out as much sound as possible, has good bass, and generally sounds awesome. Thinking maybe an AT M50 but I hear it doesn't have that good of a bass.

Best headphones I've ever owned: http://www.4sound.dk/shop/hovedtelefoner/beyerdynamic/dt-770-pro-80-ohm.html
Great, clear bass as well. Blocks almost all sound.

Get the pair I just suggested, then a modmic or something like that.
What would be a good mic for that has a stand that doesn't pick up table/pc vibrations? Guessing a boom mic stand would be best for that, bonus points if you link more from that site since I'm most likely gonna go pick up that pair tomorrow so might as well grab a mic.

I remember that they have a basic "recording" bundle for not that much, but that's not necessarily the best solution. I'll get back to you after dinner.
Not looking for recording level quality microphones, just a good microphone that's clear and precise for dishing out orders etc.

4Sound doesn't really deal in cheap mics, and if you want a boom mic stand you need a microphone that can be put on something like that, which would imply one using XLR or the like. If you can mount it on your screen, this might do the trick: http://www.4sound.dk/shop/studiemikrofoner/blue/snowflake.html
Or this: http://www.4sound.dk/shop/studiemikrofoner/samson/go-mic-usb.html
This one might work for you as well: http://www.4sound.dk/shop/studiemikrofoner/samson/meteor.html
But you can probably find a cheap (or at least cheaper) solution elsewhere, especially if you don't really have much to say about the sound quality - these are probably better than most of what you'll find out there, though.
That Samson mic is really fucking good. Shadaez has one.
Personally I'm using a MXL .006 condenser on a boom stand with a pop filter. I can't use any other mic besides this one now cause it just sounds SO good.
I have a pair of Bose OE2i's and the cable recently gave out. I'd like to replace it, but I don't know where I would find a cable that fits it. The end that goes into the computer is a regular jack (3.5mm?) but the other end is shorter (maybe 2.5mm?).
Anyone know where I would be able to get a replacement cable? It's just under a year old.
wouldn't the 250 ohm headphones ones be better btw?
And what would be a good external/portable amp for these be.
