have Sennheiser Momentum On-ears what do you all think of them? in comparison to my old shitty Skullcandy On-ears they are fucking beautiful
i've heard that the over ear version is better, but it is more expensive so obviously also speaking of skullcandy, my previous headphones were skullcandy heshes, they were shit. my beyerdynamic custom one pro are much better.
Would the sennheiser 598s be a good upgrade from the HD518s?
What'd you end up getting?
out of curiosity, is the audio-technica ath-ad700x good for smaller heads?
Can anyone recommend a decent pair of earbuds for $25? Basically I'm looking for the earbud or similar equivalent of my HARX700's. Great sound for the price and durable as hell.
Hey I need help getting a new pair of (maybe in-ear) earphones to use while travelling. Budget:100€ Country: Italy Isolation: Medium I don't know Purpose: Listening to music on the go while travelling Music Tastes: Rock, Classical, some pop or edm from time to time Previous Experiences: Sennheiser CX 300 (I really loved them), Apple Earpods (not too bad), Cellular Line Mantis (total crap) Comments: So I need a comfortable in-ear set, if it has inline volume/mic it's a bonus but it's not needed!
... HTF 600s ... the tiny piece of plastic that holds the driver housing onto the headband will snap right off, and leave the driver housing dangling by the wire. This happened to both sides of the set I purchased, and while they still worked (After guerrilla gluing them in place) ...
I didn't even have to drop mine, they just suddenly gave out within two weeks of each other after a year or so of near-constant use. No regrets in buying them though, they're really good for the price and they're still going strong after a bit of superglue.
Oh my fucking god, these Beyerdynamic DT-150 feels so fucking good on my head ...
ATH M50x (Agree) or DT 770 M 80 Ohms (Disagree)?
Not even a competition.
Not even a competition.
Who wins?
DT770s, by far.
Unless you really really want the removable cable.
DT770s, by far.
What about portability?
What about portability?
Neither.
I'm looking for earbud style headphones(preferably with a microphone) in the ~$50 range. I don't know if I'm using them wrong or if I have weird sized ear canals, but I've never gotten IEM style headphones to fit. I'm open to IEM suggestions if you think I'm just using them wrong, but I'm convinced that my ear canals are too small.

Looking for bassy closed back headphones with decent build quality in the £30-40 price range. Used shitty headsets before now so I don't have much knowledge into brands and what to look for. Would greatly appreciate some fine folk helping me out.
So I'm looking for headphones with these qualities: - Durable, good construction quality - Good bass / treble quality - Good decible range (should be able to be quite loud with minimal distortion) - Budget: ~$150 Thank you!

Looking for some headphones with a large sound stage, open. Currently running some HD439s which are nice but wanting to upgrade. Considering these, price range seems about right considering its on sale (and theres still any left when I go get them on payday) http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD900X-Open-Back-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B009S331VU Bass oriented is nice but I'm not a huge basshead.
Would anyone here recommend or not recommend Sony MDR-V6?

I've used them for two years with no problems. I think you'll like them. Great just plugged into a PC, even better used when just listening to music with a dedicated DAP. They look a little bit odd in the ear depending on your fashion tastes, but this should not be a concern at all, especially considering their quality and performance. Budget: $300ish eBay: If they're a real headset not a knock off Country: USA Isolation: Open Purpose: Music Music Tastes: Wide variety from rock to hip hop and rap, essentially everything. Previous Experiences: DT770's ( tested them from a friend ) Steelseries Siberia V2, Ostry KC06. I'm currently looking at the DT990 600 OHM version since this is for my desktop and I've already got an amp/dac
Been holding off on posting but after looking through the thread and on Reddit, I think it's probably better to ask for buying advice. Budget: Up to £140 eBay: No Country: UK Isolation: Preferably Closed Purpose: Games (Battlefield 4), Music, Skype/Teamspeak Previous Experiences: Creative Fatal1ty (terrible), been using a Razer Blackshark 6+ hours most days for over 2 years. Comments: I've loved using my current headset, the sound quality has been great and it's the microphone that's having issues. I'd sacrifice cost or maybe a little audio quality for something nice looking like the SteelSeries Siberia Elite Anniversary Edition, but I'm looking for either headphones and a mic (probably a ModMic) or a headset. It'll be paired with a Asus Xonar DGX.

>Budget $150 >Source PC >Isolation Would be nice for at least some. >Preferred Type of Headphone Over ear >Preferred tonal balance Balanced >Past headphones Superlux HD-668B >Preferred Music Experimental, shoegaze, dreampop, indie, electronica, rock >Location US Some headphones I've looked at so far as possibilities include: Beyerdynamic DT 660 AKG K 272 Sennheiser HD 558 (Maybe 598 if its on sale and if it's worth it) Audio-Technica ATH-M50
go with the dt 990 600 ohm. very good headphones.
Will a NuForce UDAC-2 be good enough to drive these? I'm not a big audiophile but I'm curious as to if I need a more powerful dac/amp
AKG K7XX (K702 anniversary edition that's been tuned by massdrop) worth it for 200 bucks if i don't have an amp (62 ohms impedance) and I'm going to use it for games, youtube and 320kbps mp3s? I don't have a DAC either, just the onboard realtek chip.
