Anyone have any experiences with the Logitech Z623 speakers?
"over ear" isnt a type of isolation.
oh noise canceling then
screw that those are a gimmick
oh, and does anyone here had an experience with the aune t1 mk2? is it any good or should I just forget about it?
help me find speakers to get for christmas
Budget: <$200
eBay: prefer to avoid
Country: USA
Isolation: ?
Purpose: Mostly music, maybe some light TV watching/gaming (for my monitor on my desk)
Music Tastes: hip-hop/rap
Previous Experiences: $20 Dell Soundbar, Etymotic HF5, Harmon Kardon Soundsticks v1
I just want some nice speakers for my desk in my room to mostly listen to music that also work for Xbone gaming. I was looking into the new soundsticks since they are $180 on amazon but I think they are lacking in midrange response since all it has is a subwoofer and some 1.25" tweeters. I was looking into the Audioengine A2, but if I were to step it up to the $250 range, what is better, the Audioengine P4 or A2+ (both are $250).

The Z623 by logitech isn't too bad http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-980-000402-Speaker-System-Black/dp/B003VAHYTG
But they're probably not even close to audiophile levels if that's what you're looking for.
I don't know if creative is still a thing any more but I still use 10+ year old creative speakers and they are fucking amazing

My boyfriend used to use this Logitech G230 headset but it recently broke and I wanna give him a new one that's better, but around the same price. Any suggestions?

in total it is slightly more expensive than what your boyfriend had, but it's much better.
Could I get some advice on a wireless headset, it's not for myself but for my father. I'm in Australia and will most likely be buying from http://www.pccasegear.com/. He said he would like a microphone, and a built in one might be a very good idea seeing as it needs to be wireless. I have about $160 to spend and was thinking of getting the Logitech G930, is that a good idea? Thanks for helping.
So these momentum have a whine in the right side at random times at low volumes, is this a thing to stay or get worse in most situations? If so I'll return them.
Looking for a skype mic and something which could be decent for recording voice. I've heard good things about the Blue Snowball but I wasn't sure if it's too much for what I need it for considering they talk about recording music in the product description.
Budget probably ends around the £40 mark.

Fostex T50RP with some modding done (UhuTac in the baffles, cotton balls in the cups) and a Fiio E10K. Sounds fantastic, I tuned it to be neutral with a slight emphasis in the low end and a tad of taming in the high end.

Wait for hyperx clouds to go on sale? They're 80 bucks right now but i think they've dropped as low as 60.
Budget: $100, $120 for a worthwhile increase
eBay: I practically live there
Country: USA
Isolation:
Purpose: Gaming, some music
Music Tastes: Classic rock, classic metal, some minimal electronic
Previous Experiences: HARX700, Senn Momentum On Ear, some various high end open air sets
Comments: Looking for a new desktop set. Size doesn't matter at all, they will be permanently stationed at my desk. Needs to be on the bigger size for the cups, and the deeper the better too. It's uncomfortable when my ears press up against the inside.

ATH-M50's are pretty good for that price range.
ATH-M50's are pretty good for that price range.
if you're getting the ath-m50s I highly recommend getting the brainwavz hm5 earpads with them because their stock earpads suck.
I'm going to get the DT 770s, 250 ohms. If I'm just using them on my laptop (not portable devices or whatever) will it be necessary to get an amp for it? And if I do need one, what should I get, preferably under $50? (I kind of wish I read up more about ohms before making a decision, but I'm still excited)
Please, I know a bunch of you guys own 770s and Christmas is only getting closer
Looking for a decent microphone. Pricerange goes up to 150, although I'd really like to keep it under that.
One that doesn't get in the way, I like having my desk be open and clean.

I think "normal" headsets and headphones have around 18-80 Ohms which you can use without an amp to get a decent volume. You should probably get an amp for headphones with 250 Ohm.
But since you want to use them with a laptop, I would also think about getting an external sound card (in case you're about to use onboard) just to get more out of the headphones. Those also can have an integrated amplifier for headphones.
Recently I read a small review about the ASUS Xonar U5. It does have an integrated amp and costs around 65€. That could already be the right thing for you but you should probably also look for some other reviews and tests of other external sound cards
Schiit is also releasing an all in one usb dac/amp that's reasonablyish priced sometime soon

Well I guess it's out now.
That looks great, thanks
Is the Samsung Gear Circle as good as it seems? I'd probably use something like that. It seems extremely helpful. Or is there something similar to it that is better?
Tempted to pick up this combo used next paycheck...

I picked up the AT2020 xlr a few weeks ago for about $100 off amazon (along with the Focusrite Scarlett Solo). Sound is terrific it's and great for entry level pod-casting and the like, but you'll need 12v phantom power to go along with it. That's where the pre-amp comes in.
Though the entire combo might be edging a little over 200$, getting XLR over USB mics are nice because if you plan on upgrading to an even better mic, you already have the pre-amp with phantom power, so the transition is easier.
The mic itself looks nice and slick and you can find a scissor boom arm to go with it for less than 20$ to keep it off your desk.
AT2020 XLR: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B0006H92QK#
Boom arm: http://www.amazon.com/NEEWER-Microphone-Suspension-Scissor-Stand/dp/B00DY1F2CS/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1418886405&sr=1-1&keywords=scissor+boom+arm
Focusrite Scarlett Solo: http://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-Scarlett-Solo-Compact-Interface/dp/B00MTXU2DG/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1418886449&sr=1-1&keywords=scarlett+solo
Or you can pick up any other solid mic pre-amp
Should i go with a schiit fulla or an audioquest dragonfly 1.2?
Rate for Schiit Fulla
Rate for Audioquest Dragonfly 1.2
So the sound my old Sennheiser PC 201 is getting rattled for a little, and I decided to get a replacement. So I followed the big red advice in op on getting HTF-600-S. Thing is, I found just HTF-600, without S. Is it not a big deal, and if it actually is, what other headphones with same price I can look into?
Hey, can you guys help me make a decision? I'm looking at these two speakers, and I really can't figure out which would sound better. They're both $240, and they're both rated really highly, so I probably can't go wrong either way. Anyway, what do you all think?
