That's what I'm thinking, if only because an actual pair of the other would be something like $470, and that's getting up into absurdity.
Budget:
eBay: No
Country: Russia
Isolation:
Purpose: Gaming/Sometimes Music/VOIP
Music Tastes: No specific ones
Previous Experiences: Sony MDR-MA300
Comments: The wire on my MA300 just tore so I need to get a replacement as soon as possible. I don't have much experience with headphones so I can't really decide on isolation, but I'm comfortable with whatever isolation my previous headphones had. I generally wear them for long periods of time.
I know I provided very little info so I would just like to hear your general recommendations for gaming/music/voice chatting.
Can anyone recomend a decent record player?
Can anyone recomend a decent record player?
U-Turn Orbit's good, apparently. I ordered one, so I can let you know how it is. It's a hi-fi-grade turntable for $179-299, depending on the model.
I'm thinking of buying ATH-M40 headphones, but I want to know how much better are the M50 ones.
Looking to buy a new headset, $50-100 range, but closer to 50 if possible
Never tried clip-on mics though, is clip-on + headphones generally considered better?

always better with the clip-on mic.

You can get much nicer headphones separately than you can as part of a headset, so having a separate mic from your headphones is preferred.
Any suggestions?

Anything by Sennheiser is generally pretty good, and most of the stuff from the bigger speaker brands is also pretty good.
(Don't understand the boxes here... At least tell me what I've got wrong, or they don't mean a damn thing.)

creative aurvana live + zalman clip-on mic
I think I'll get a Superlux 668b + velour pads + Zalman mic since I want to save up some money for 2015 games
Thanks anyway
Bought a pair of these for £65 earlier in the week, risking it on a headset..

These have amazing sound, holy shit. I think these have replaced my modded fostex I bought off the David Tennant user on here even though they've served me very well.
Never did I expect a headset audio quality to be very good, it sounds and has a build quality of £150+ headphones. Very punchy bass that doesn't make the mids or vocals muddy. Impressed.
Edited:
Also has a detatchable mic that you can replace or just use your normal mic and have these as headphones.
I snagged a mint condition used Magni for $90. Now I just have to wait for it to get here ;_;
Well my current headphones are going to shit, going to need a new pair.
Budget: <$60
eBay: Don't want them used, so wouldn't prefer it I guess.
Country: USA
Isolation: ?
Purpose: Mostly music and movies, gaming isn't that big of a priority.
Music Tastes: Hip-Hop/Rap/Electronic (Bass is good)
Previous Experiences: Skullcandy Uprocks, Turtle Beach X12s, Sony MDR-XB400s (current pair)
Comments: Unless the bass is super pronounced, my XB400s have lost most of their ability to have any sort of bass. Everything but hip-hop is uncomfortable to listen to now. The highs seem to still be all there, though. Tried it on multiple devices and it has been the same story.
Are the JVC HARX700s still good cheap headphones? I was looking at those before I bought my XB400s.
I love my HARX700's for the price

Tbh I'd think you'd be better getting one with good soundstage so you have good immersion.
Tbh I'd think you'd be better getting one with good soundstage so you have good immersion.
Any tips on finding one with good sound stage?
Since it's pretty much for games I'm sure there are tons out there, but, I'm not familiar with audio devices

Hm... I wonder if you couldn't have someone here buy one and then ship it to you, and then pay them whatever it costs to buy and ship?
Actually, scratch that. Have you looked at their international distributors? Maybe you can find the Fulla from one of them. Good luck.
EDIT: Here you go, I found it in France. Doesn't look like their system's entirely based on Paypal, so maybe give that a shot?

I don't care about noise isolation so considering a lack of it is = to better sound this is fantastic
I always look for bad reviews before buying something but I can't find anything
Can anyone recommend a good headset for gaming? I've been in the market for one for a while now. Something that has good audio along with big immersion factor as well since I like being able to know where the sounds I hear are coming from in relation to where I am ingame. I know just headphones would be better but yeah.

if you want big immersion, go with open-back headphones. the thing is that almost no gaming headsets are open-back.
