Does anyone have any experience with the Logitech Z623 speakers?
I've only ever listened to Apple earpods and other shitty cheap in ear headphones.
What will the difference be listening to the M50x's?
Ordered mine today and made the mistake to go on the headphone subreddit and saw loads of people talk shit about them.
Made me scared

The difference will be pretty impressive compared to even high end consumer headphones, but is most noticeable when using a device with a really good sound card.
As for the redditors talking shit about it, the only two problems that I personally see are that it's a closed back design, which can slightly distort the sound, but is good for isolation when in public.
The other is that it uses pleather, which can get sweaty and nasty. But these are just what I don't prefer, not anything that makes me think they're shit.
They're not shit per se.
There's just (in most people's opinion) better headphones out there, especially if you can't get them for around $100.
Do you have an amp? You need at least a Xonar DG (on the 'Exciter' headphones mode) or a FiiO amp, if you cannot afford an O2 (I recommend the O2/ODAC combo).
My brother has the Q701s which are pretty much identical to the K702s, nice lows and mids, highs are really nice on orchestral but a bit harsh on rock (cymbals). Wide soundstage too
If you have an decent amp then you probably just need to get used to them. Listen to them for a few days, then go back to your old ones, i'm sure you will be able to tell the difference.
Using the Schiit modi + magni stack.
Hey guys, I've used JVC HA-RX300 for past few years (had two pairs so far, one broke another bought then) and they were absolutely amazing (then again - I never used any other earphones so I don't know if there is better quality available or so.
I might change to better (if possible) soon so need suggestions, or should I just get same ones?
Budget: ~60 Eur
Country: Ireland
Purpose: Games, Movies, Music.
Music Tastes: Various, mostly Pop, sometimes dubstep.
Previous Experiences: only JVC HA-RX300
Comments: Want something that isolates sound to ears, also if such exist - have bass. Preferably wire on left earpiece, and no shit like volume controller etc.. Also no microphone attached.
Any suggestions?
Haven't looked through the thread much so I hope questions about earbuds are ok:
I'm looking for some wireless in-ears for walking/running/etc. I'm not a huge fan of the ones that wrap around your ear so I'm leaning toward the Plantronics BackBeat Go 2, but since I'll be using it outside I'd like to be able to hear ambient noise so I don't get hit by a car. Battery life isn't much of a consideration as long as it'll last at least 2 hours at a time, and sound quality isn't super important but would be nice.
Summary:
Budget: Any, <$100 would be appreciated
Country: Canada
Purpose: Music (generally metal) while exercising outdoors, occasionally podcasts
Isolation: Being able to hear ambient noise is preferred
Previous Experience: None with wireless headphones

any sound card that doesn't have noticeable interference issues will sound the same as any other device granted the output doesn't need to be amped
[editline]28th January 2015[/editline]
and if you need an amp, get a USB DAC. guaranteed to have less interference than a PCIe/PCI sound card.
Schiit Fulla looks pretty good for a DAC+Amp combo for anyone needing something small and cheap

My Steelseries Siberia, I forgot the full type of it. broke, and only gives sound from one end, it being from 2011 i'm thinking of getting a new one.
I loved the sound quality, but it wasn't quite comfortable. Any suggestions?
Budget, somewhere between €100-200 would be good.
I keep finding shitty Chinese products on amazon when looking for a 3" 3.5mm extension cord. Ordered one ages ago and it was shipped in a (smelly) plastic bag, was severely damaged (big surprise), and the female end was like 3.4mm while the male end was 3.6mm. Literally nothing fit on either side. I guess that's what i get for spending $0.99 on electronics.
Anyone have any recommendations? Looking for a low profile male end akin to Apple earbuds.

Monoprice has some nice cables for cheap
Just got my ATH M40Xs, freaking amazing for rock music and CS:GO.
I need to find a way to stretch these headphones though or cut my hair because they're squishing my head.

Just keep wearing them, they'll break in eventually. Or you can stretch them around some books/a box.

How much of an improvement do you think it'll be if I get those for my DT770s 32 ohms, playing through my laptop right now? I was thinking about getting these
I want one of those. It'll be a while before I can afford that, but the onboard DAC in my microphone isn't bad.

a huge improvement, depending of what laptop you have
How important is wear and tear on speaker systems? Because I could get a used Logitech Z623 system for €60-€80 used instead of €130 for a new one

not really a huge deal if the cones etc. are not damaged
For some reason I can't disable my laptop mic and my ZM1 isn't being listed under my Recording devices.
Yes, I can see disabled/disconnect devices. Any help?
The ZM1 still works, but after I disconnect it, my laptop mic becomes active.
I'm using a Realtek board by the way.

Ordered, hopefully they're a decent improvement over my current JVC HARX 900s.
Mostly I'm going to like the detachable cables, because trying to use my HARX 900's like 3 meter cable anywhere but my desktop is awful.

Those are really nice looking cables, but none are extremely small (3-6 inch range), smallest i could find on the site was 1.5 feet. And none are M/F, just M/M. I'll keep the brand in mind though.

Wish I didn't pick up my 518's last month, but I guess it would have been a marginal improvement.

I was trying to buy the takstar HI2050 for Amazon but when I saw the shipping price to my country I was like, WTF 58$ for headphones and 233$ for the shipping...
Not entirely sure where to ask, but my new 518s are having problems. If I listen to songs with bassy and energetic tones, the right speaker crackles and distorts.
I noticed it in my laptop(which has beats, but i disabled it through clever driver work) and through my guitar amplifier. I actually believe that my amp caused the problem, as that's where I first noticed it. If it helps, I dropped them on a hardwood floor once.
They should still be under warranty, but I hope it's just a quality issue and not a hardware one.
[editline]no[/editline]
I guess I don't have to deal with sending it in for repairs. I checked the speaker and I think a plastic piece had come loose when I dropped it. After getting it back in place, I listened to the same songs at same volume and no crackling.
