There is also the increased risk of damage to my stuff during shipping and what not. As for your comment, I apologise that I am cautious about buying earphones, I just don't want to waste my money buying fakes or rip off products.

Should cost about 14 quid.
Hey guys! I really need a new pair of headphones. Went out and got the Antlion mic but I need some headphones to go along with it: Budget: $150~ I can of course go lower but I can go a little higher if necessary eBay: No Country: United States Isolation: I'd prefer it but of course depending on the suggestion I can do what ever Purpose: Music and Games Music Tastes: Electronic Previous Experiences: most have been headsets except for the pair at work which are the Senhiezer HD360 Pro's which I really like. I think I prefer studio headphones over ones that prefer a certain range Comments: I have a small amp at work for my Senhiezers because they can't seem to pump out the volume necessary without it. They also do a bit of coloring to the sound over the flat studio sound. Would I need a better amp for the new ones or would something small work again? I have the Fiio E06 Sorry If i'm getting some of my terms mixed up :v: I'm not the best at talking audio gear.
Need a headphone holder, a good one and cheaper! Any?
Beyerdynamic DT 770
Looking into these now. You think the 80ohms version is enough? is the 250ohms over kill? I'm just running these through a computer, nothing to fancy. If I were to get an amp what would you guys recommend?

I'd say 80 ohms is enough, depending of how good the built-in amplifier in your computer is. If it's not good enough, I recommend the JDS Labs cmoyBB.
I love apple ear buds, they're great strings for things like tying boxes and holding curtain poles up
80 is enough. I have had the DT 770 Pro 80 ohms for a couple of years now and they have served me great.
80 is enough. I have had the DT 770 Pro 80 ohms for a couple of years now and they have served me great.
Sweet. apparently a Guitar Center near me has them and they are on sale for 169. Going to head there after work and snatch em up.
Hi guys. I need a headset for the 360 since I recently got a used one. Now I don't know, can I use these with the PC too? Bluetooth is not so important. Any recommendations?
I love apple ear buds, they're great strings for things like tying boxes and holding curtain poles up
they are comfortable, but the build quality is god awful. i have one, the cable wears out in like a month and for me, the plug literally bent. yes, it fucking bent. [editline]6th April 2015[/editline] wait i just re-read your post oh
I just ordered myself a Sennheiser Momentum Black. Got em for 19 USD dollar, inclusive transport. Good or bad deal?
$19?? Jesus fuck I'm jealous. [editline]8th April 2015[/editline] Damn ninja edit. It's not bad, the lowest I can find them around here is $160. There are some better for the price, but they're still damn good from what I've read.
Yeah, you'd have to try hard to break my momentum on ears, and they are pretty much the exact same except for slightly smaller cans and I think a bit different material on the top of the band.
So I just got my first good earphones, the Ostry KC06! [t]http://i.imgur.com/IjV50vD.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/wzlsqTI.jpg[/t] going to post impressions when I listen to it a lil bit more.

I might just pick em up too. Edit #1 I also joined the MassDrop that had the K553 Pros. I'll let you guys know how they are once I get them mid to late April. Edit #2 Another thing. Does anyone know of anything that i can use to hold multiple headphones that also displays them nicely? I have 6 pairs of headphones and I want some kind of long stand that can hold all of them on my desk. I may have to make something custom out of wood though.

Pick your poison.
Another Massdrop which might interest some of you: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/out-of-your-head-speaker-software?mode=guest_open It's virtual surround software (downmixes 5.1/7.1 into stereo in a way that if you're using headphones you still get the location awareness of surround sound), going for a week, lowest price of $75 unlocked. As I wrote in the comments thread there, I'm personally very impressed with the results, but this is extremely subjective - they have a free trial and a demo video you can use to check for yourself. While I'd never spend $75 on audio processing software, and the "simulates the sound of famous expensive speaker sets" claim seems a bit sketchy to me, this thing is the best of its kind (for my hearing) that I've come across.
I bought this http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ and this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1N06PO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Anyone got an alternative to the Zalman mic because I have to clip it onto my headphone wire but my friends say that it's too soft and staticy. If I raise up the receiving volume my voice gets louder but the static is worse. If I lower the receiving volume then my voice is too soft but no static.

Looks really cool, but at the same time i'm a bit skeptical.
so i had the time to try the Out Of Your Head trial demos in the Massdrop page posted above. This is impressive! I'm listening to it with my Ostry KC06 plugged in to a FiiO E10K, and wow, the soundstage is amazing. While this is still very expensive for me, this is definitely not snake oil.

I'd have to keep my media player volume below 50% and my sound card volume all the way up to get my desired volume without clipping, at which point things get quite noisy. - Like all virtual surround processors, it sounds quite hollow. - The default preset, modelled after the Acoustic Zen Crescendos, both has the best effect and the least nasty distortion in my opinion. - It introduces a lot of latency. Completely throws off lipsync unless you delay audio by a bit in your media player. - Yet I'm still impressed with how well it works. Kinda makes me want to make my own, and record a profile tailored to my ears, though I imagine the equipment you'd need for that is really expensive.

Especially the "it sounds hollow" part.
Budget: $110~ eBay: No Country: United States Isolation: Doesn't really matter to me, just looking for the best possible quality. over ear. Purpose: music and games (mostly gaming, but a decent music quality would sound good while playing games that aren't competitive) Music Tastes: All kinds of music minus metal. Previous Experiences: I'm using the K240 currently, they don't have a very good fit as they constantly rub my ear, they've rubbed it for awhile that I have a raw spot on my ear. So I'm really looking for comfortable headphones that wouldn't constantly rub on my ears! Comments: Though the k240 was an upgrade over my last headphones, the ear rubbing raw is my main problem with it, also I can't seem to hear people as well as others in games like CSGO. (May just be because I have a lower volume than them)
I'm in the market for some new cans as my G35's pads have decided they wish to shed all of their leather coating onto my ears for the second time after getting them replaced, so I'm curious what you guys suggest. Budget: Sub-£100 (including modmic @ ~£40), willing to pay slightly more eBay: Ideally not Country: United Kingdom Isolation: Closed-air practically essential, see purpose Purpose: Music & Gaming for extended periods, and also production @ very noisy LAN's Music Tastes: Varied, mainly electronic but also some bass-heavy stuff Previous Experiences: Logitech G35 x2 (current), Creative Fatal1ty, and some crappy old Plantronics Gaming thing Comments: Amazon or eBuyer strongly preferred (free shipping). The HD558's look good, but are insanely expensive in the UK at the moment (over £1 = $1 which is nuts), and are also over budget.
Brainwavz HM5/NVX1000
I've also gotten suggested the HD 558, I've been doing a little research. The NVX1000 seems to be the most comfortable, however the HD558 sound better to some people? Is there a big difference between the two's sound? I would like a good mix of comfortability and sound.
