Shure SE215 for warm, bassy sound or VSonic GR07 for slightly bright but actually neutral sound. They are both $100 instead of 90, but I'd say the extra $10 is worth it.
shit I didn't realize the current dollar rate. I was more thinking like 50 dollars actually :v:
Budget: up to $400 maybe? Country: finland Isolation: circumaural closed, or open if the bass is still great. Can't have too much noise leaking if I'm using a mic while gaming tho Purpose: everything, general audio, random videos, movies, music but mostly gaming I guess Music Tastes: electronic, dubstep, stuff with fucktons of bass, hardcore, stuff with less bass etc and random stuff Previous Experiences: Sennheiser HD 419 Comments: Looking to upgrade from my HD 419s because the bass is shit and I'm looking for better audio quality overall as well. The headphones must also have good surround (stereo at least) because of the gaming.
shit I didn't realize the current dollar rate. I was more thinking like 50 dollars actually :v:
ahhh for $50 there is the TTPOD T1-E, Ostry KC06, MEElectronics M6 and Audio-Technica ATH-IM50.
1m is far too long, you're looking at more like a third of that for picking up voice with any clarity and loudness.
Budget: $80 eBay: Only if it's absolutely necessary, need these as soon as possible Country: US Isolation: Over-ear, preferably closed Purpose: Mainly music and gaming Music Tastes: Just about anything Previous Experiences: some JVC pair I forget the exact model, currently using Siberia V2 Comments: Friend of mine needs a headset for his new rig, I can give him my Siberias but of course I'd need a new pair of headphones for myself. Having a microphone isn't necessary for me so straight up headphones would be preferred, something with a good amount of bass would be nice too since I always find myself needing to EQ to the extreme just to even get a flat response. [editline]12th May 2015[/editline] Actually I just had a look at the AKG K-240 and they're looking pretty good, what's the opinion on them? Creative Aurvana Live! 2 also looks a good option, starting to seem like it's between these two for now. [editline]12th May 2015[/editline] Nevermind, going with the Aurvana, seems to have better sound over the K-240s.
I want to put this on the map. http://www.amazon.com/Focal-Spirit-Professional-Studio-Headphones/dp/B00EXO8Y3Y as well as classic and one. I own the pro and they sound great with good sub bass with my ehp-o2d. Knowing people after a wow effect with headphones, these will come up first for me.

Well, there's not gonna be much of a difference between 10-20€ mics (though you'll want something that's unidirectional because of your speakers). They'll sound better than your webcam mic, certainly, though not by much. Not sure it's gonna help with your background noise problem, but you might as well try.
What do you guys think about the Sennheiser HD 558's?
i've heard that these are uncomfortable. what do you think?
What do i think well for a start they isolate sound rather well when you listen to music i can barely hear the outside varying on volume and i notice that it does get sweaty around my ears after about 1 to 3 hours varying on how i wear them over my head... When i wear them i experience a heat build up but not a problem really. These are the focal professionals that i have and only the pro's. I do still think they are worth the cash because of their sound quality. my 2 cents.
How are the Sennheiser Momentum Headphones? How's the bass? Do they isolate good enough? Are they comfortable? How do they compare when put against the ATH M50x?
Budget: $200 max, <$150 preferred eBay: No Country: US Isolation: Over ear Purpose: Music, gaming, particularly fps play Music Tastes: Everything, usually rock. probably would use my 2.1 speaker configuration for playing bass Previous Experiences: Mdr-V6- were great cans after earpad upgrade until one ear died. Comments: M50 is a no for fps play. I'm thinking I'm trying to decide between 558, 598, and Momentum. They all seem to have decent prices on amazon. I need something that I can wear for long hours with glasses, but have tight sound for hearing fps sounds, but will be used for a lot of music. $30 more worth it to 598? what does Momentum bring to the table?
Momentum are part of Sennheiser's high-end fashionable mainstream lineup, a competitor to Beats. This means they have a v-shaped frequency response (high treble and bass, low mids), should be easy to find in stores so you can try them on, and you're paying for style - they're not bad by any means but they're generally considered overpriced for the sound they offer. HD 558/598: Most comfortable headphones I've ever worn - they're very light and don't clasp tightly (though that's a given with open cans). Wide soundstage, which is good for gaming/movies, but they generally won't produce thumps or even tactile sensations in the low-frequency range. Difference in terms of sound between the 558 and 598 is very small (and you can mod the former to sound more like the latter if you don't mind opening them up) and it's a matter of preference (if you can even hear it) - you should probably only buy the 598 if you prefer the colours and materials and are willing to spend the extra cash on that.
I own the momentum on ears, which are the same drivers as the normal, and the 518's, which have the same drivers as the 558 and 598's. I'd recommend the 5 series over the momentum. My momentums are the best mobile headphones I've owned, but they really don't stack up to the 5 series.
How are the Sennheiser Momentum Headphones? How's the bass? Do they isolate good enough? Are they comfortable? How do they compare when put against the ATH M50x?
The momentums destroy the M50x.
I bought the HD 598. Very satisfied so far comfortable with glasses and hearing a lot of detail even as far as hearing fingers slide across strings.
Oh god my Aurvana Live! 2 arrived and now I hear the difference between 192kbps and 320, this is going to ruin internet radio forever
I've gotten my hands on a Schitt Modi, I got a SMSL M2 coming in the mail today. I'm gonna test all my cans on them and see how it performs. I'm mostly looking forward to testing out my Schiit Stack once I get the magni though.
Budget: Willing to go up to $100 for something that's a really good durability/quality eBay: Yes Country: Canada Isolation: Open air presumably, don't know if you can get isolation with hard buds Purpose: ultra-portable bud headphones, listening to music while out exercising and at work Music Tastes: rock, orchestra, and a bit of electronic mainly Previous Experiences: Sony MDR-E818LP, they were cheap and lasted forever but that's about it Basically I've had super cheap bud headphones just to do the job until now and I'm wondering if there's any good hard bud headphones, I hate the floppy ones you jam inside your ear with a passion

You completely opposed to IEMs?
Basically unless you get the Yuin 2/3 here isn't much in the ear bud category that you can get, and those have QC problems. I mean, I'm not saying they make me want to claw my ears off but it's close :v: By QC you mean quality control I presume? Because that'd be a bit of a bummer, but they aren't too expensive I guess. I mean I'm not expecting pristine quality from ear buds, I just kinda wanted to get something a step up from throwaway store bought buds I've always bought. Are there any decent ones from Sennheiser? I've generally heard good things about them and they have some in a decent price range that look like comfortable hard buds like the MX 365

I fucking despised IEMS before and always used earbuds, but eventually even earbuds get uncomfortable for me. I used the comply tips on the IEMs I just bought and they're pretty comfortable and isolate well. The rubber tips on iems just don't do it for me. Yeah, there's not alot unfortunately and if there is they probably aren't worth the cash for that upgrade. And yeah quality problems, drivers not working, cables ripping off, etc. There's more options for you in the IEM area at that price though, cheap iems usually come with horrible tips and are pretty uncomfortable.

I eventually just made the switch to on-ears. Might not work out too well for working out though.
I might just grab the MX 365's then, I like the look and shape, they're reasonably priced, and people seem to generally like them
I can't give a personal opinion but if people seem to like them give em a shot, be sure to tell us if you like them or not. I got my M2, jesus christ I thought the Fiio X3's bass was too much, this is whole other level.
My Audio Technica ATH-M50s's finally snapped after several years of every day use. I'm most likely going to get another pair, but I wanted to know if there's anything else I should be looking at instead.
Budget: 100$ eBay: No Country: USA Isolation: Over ear Purpose: Gaming, everyday use. Music Tastes: Rock, Synth, Electronic and 80's pop Previous Experiences: Logitech G430, it's still working after 2 years but it's cable is starting to spit and the left speaker has become unhinged. Looking for something with a microphone and is fairly durable.

Get Dunu Titan 1's, they're great. Go to $89 sometime.
