Yeah that USB one is pretty basic. I've got a FiiO E17 I'll sell ya for $50
thanks for the recommendations. I don't have a lot of money atm since I'm in between paychecks, so I'll keep those in mind for when I'm looking to buy.

get a http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-UCA222-BEHRINGER-U-CONTROL/dp/B0023BYDHK/ it's great and has an RCA input you can monitor with 0 delay.
Budget: 150 eurs tops
eBay: Prolly not, would try though.
Country: Macedonia (Might travel around Europe, so I can pick stuff up)
Isolation: Closed Over/On ear
Purpose: Portable usage, everyday music while I travel from spot to spot
Music Tastes: Mostly electronic, rock (I guess Depeche Mode is an example)
Previous Experiences: AKG K518DJ, AKG K272 HD (Both are in use, the k272 are for home usage since I ain't got a portable amp and the k518 are slowly decaying)
Comments: The K518 are almost gonna die with me if I keep carrying them, I've modded them with that tac mod for a bit better bass (Note, it doesn't work as good as advertised.) and a removeable cable, the build quality was great, but they're slowly decaying, so I need a suitable replacement for them. ALSO, if someone could point me to a proper portable amp? (The size of an iPod classic or such, saw fiio's line, looks great, but idk if i'll have the money to buy one after I spend on the headphones)
Wanna buy some decent headphones.
Budget: 300$
EBay/Amazon: Preferably not. I shop locally, unless it's not available where I am.
Country: Switzerland
Isolation: Circumaural
Purpose: Desktop computer at home, no need for portability. Mostly gaming.
Music Tastes: Everything basicly, from classical to dubstep. I'm a bass junkie when it comes to electronic music.
Previous Experiences: Had the Astro A40's. Most comfortable headset I have ever had. Later had the Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Omega Wireless, less comfortable headset I have ever used, it would sit on top of my ears instead of covering around them and would hurt like hell after more than 1 hour of wearing. (Hurting throughout the entire day even after taking them off)
Comments: I have no idea what to look for, I'm a complete sound newbie. I have never seen surround sound headphones, headsets there's plenty around. Is there even headphones with surround sound or should I stick with headsets? I'm also thinking in getting a DAC/AMP combo to go with the headphones, can these process surround sound as well?
I'm a total sound newb and have no idea of what I'm doing/saying. :v:

I'm not really looking for an audio interface - all I need is a way to connect headphone or external speakers via a USB port without losing audio quality or getting significant delay.
I recently upgraded from a Logitech G35 Headset to an ATH-M50x + Modmic 4.0. The problem is on the G35 I used to be able to playback the attached microphone to the headphones by accessing Playback Devices->Properties->Levels->Microphone slider
This slider of course isn't available on the ATH-M50x because it doesn't have an attached microphone. Is there anyway I can play the audio from my mic to my headphones clearly without any terrible delay? I've tried going to the "listen" tab in the microphone properties but the voice is soft and has a delay.
I'm also using an audio splitter as my laptop only has a single jack for audio, if that matters.
Is there any software/hardware I can get that will accomplish this for me?
Budget: $500
eBay: preferably not
Country: United States
Isolation: Open
Purpose: Music listening, video games.
Music Tastes: Electronic, classical, dub, jazz, a little bit of everything except metal.
Previous Experiences: ATH M50x's, AD 900x's, Philips SHP 9500's, Sennheiser Momentum R1's, NVX XPT 100's, Brainwavz Delta's.
Comments: I'm curious about the "planar sound" and Hifiman seemed like my best bet for the price range if I purchase used. My source is the odac/o2 combo. Any recommendations or tidbits you guys can offer are appreciated!
Here's the selection of HFM cans I'm choosing between
He400 ~ $250
He400s ~ $ 250
He400i ~ $425
He500 ~ $500
Hello!
My birthday is coming in a few days and I want to get myself a pair of Bluetooth headphones to use for my phone, because I go around by bus a lot and my earbuds' cables get on my nerves.
Thing is, my budget is TIGHT. Like, $65 tight. And ordering from Amazon in Romania is a hassle, so that's a no-no. Any ideas?
I would prefer over-ear headphones mostly.

He gave you exactly what you need, though. That's what I use to do what you want to do.
So, The 3m cable on my HD201s has been more than a inconvenience, and I may have completely busted the right audio channel on the audio jack in my Laptop after tripping over it.
I'm looking at the FiiO E10K and the Fulla Schiit if the cost of repairing it ends up being ridiculous (It's still on warranty, but they'll probably claim it's accidental damage), are those any good?
But also I'm looking for a new set of headphones as the jack on my current set is now slightly bent out of out position:
Budget: £40
eBay: No
Country: UK
Isolation: Closed, Circumaural
Purpose: Gaming, Music
Music Tastes: Electronic, Futurepop, EBM, Synthpop
Previous Experiences: Sennheiser HD201
Comments: Glasses, Bitrate is 256kbps average on some tracks (Is that low?)
Are there any headphones that let me control the volume of the left channel separate from the right and vice versa? If not, that's fine.
Budget: Anything under $85
eBay: Yes
Country: USA
Isolation: Closed, Circumaural, Supra-aural
Purpose: Music, Gaming, Youtube
Music Tastes: Rock, flamenco/latin, jazz fusion
Previous Experiences: Logitech H390. which broke after 3 weeks
Comments: Not much, really. Built in mic preferred but not needed.

The Fiio E10K is great, I highly suggest it. The Schiit Fulla has been known to be subpar for its price range, and the E10K is actually a few bucks cheaper on US Amazon at least. As for headphones, you could always just order another set of HD201s.
If you wanna stretch your budget by a small amount, there's the Audio Technica ATH-M30X. These are probably more to your liking, as the M30X phones are generally good all-around headphones for their price while low end Senns are not that great imho.
If you aren't getting iems then all earbuds will sound equally shite.

I'm having real trouble with what stuff is called. How should I search for something like Panasonic SC-NE1
(https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/home-entertainment/wireless-speaker-systems/sc-ne1eb.html) for trusted reviews?
I'm trying to get some sort of a sound system going for my room, but space is at premium so I was looking for preferably single speaker that can be put on top of a drawer or something that can stand vertical and has bluetooth/wireless connectivity.
Searching for bluetooth or wireless speakers end up pointing me towards really portable tiny things and hifi systems usually point me to 2+ speaker systems.
I'm looking for something that I can pick off ebay for under 60 pounds, so I know I won't be getting the absolute best.
I'm hesitating between
Beyerdynamic DT770
AKG K545
SoundMagic HP150
Budget:under $60
eBay: Preferably not
Country:USA
Isolation: Over Ear is fine
Purpose:Home/ some car use
Music Tastes: A little of everything, emphasis on rock/metal, though.
Previous Experiences:HTF 600s
Comments:
I just ordered the Philips Fidelio X2. I'll let you guys know how they are when they arrive. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited

The FiiO E6 would be a great small portable amp for you. If you like portability and bass maybe the sennheiser urbanites? They look/sound great, and both the items should be under 150 euros altogether.
Edit: Okay after doing more research the Urbanites may be a little more expensive than I thought. I'll look for another pair of headphones you may enjoy. Still though the E6 would be a great amp for you.

A colleague of mine has the e6, small but very very powerful, I was impressed, even the build quality isn't so bad. I'll take it, as for the headphones, I just checked them, they look good, but yeah they go a bit over my budget. I can go 150 eurs for the headphones, I do have some extra money leftover for the amp itself
My headset is now surely fucked, so what should I buy as a replacement? Around £50 or less, good sound quality.
Anyone suggest a headphones? (not headset).
Budget: 50-60 Euro.
Main Purpose: Music and Games and movies occasionally.
Extras: Good sound isolation would be nice.
I'm buying the Philips SHP9500 to replace my shit, because I'm sick of shit build quality.
No longer need help, went and found some myself
Okay guys, I'm kind of a noob when it comes to headphones so I am really lost when looking for a new pair. My current pair just broke today out of nowhere so I need to order something today.
Budget: $100
eBay: Not preferable.
Country: USA
Isolation: Closed, Circumaural
Purpose: Music, vidya
Music Tastes: Almost everything
Previous Experiences: Audio-Technica M40fs
Comments: Great sound, mild comfort, looks do not matter. Budget is $100, but I'd like to spend a lot less if I can get something pretty good. If not, oh well, I'll pay the max if I have to.
Gonna check out the other comments on the thread to see what is being recommended to people with similar wishlists. Thanks.

I have a pair and they're great. Very comfy and sound amazing. The cable is a piece of shit though, so I suggest getting a 1.2m replacement from amazon for $15 or so, they're loads nicer.
Or you can get a pair of those AT M40FS phones on amazon for $90, since you've experienced them already. I just mentioned the senns because I have a pair.

I'm just wondering, I recently got my SHP9500s, are they supposed to be showing up as Speakers in 'Playback Devices' or have I fucked something up?
