Anyone?
headsets are almost all trash and not worth the money. What you should get is a pair of headphones that you like with a detachable cable, and then one of these
Unfortunately those aren't available in Sweden.
Brainwavz HM5/NVX XPT100/Jaycar Pro Monitors/Yoga CD880/Fischer FA-011 Posting all together cause they are all the same headphone essentially, you should be able to find at least one where you live.
HyperX Clouds are actually pretty decent.
They are the only gaming headset I would ever recommend because they are basically a Takstar Pro 80 with a mic.
Welp, looks like my headphones, the Sennheiser HD 418 are starting to die. Depending on which way the 3.5mm jack is turned in the headphone jack, the left ear cup dies. This sucks. Had these for 5 years and they have been pretty good. I mean for the past year I've been traveling with it where it's in my bag. Sometimes not in it's bag so the connector or cable probably got squished and damaged. I wonder if I can find/get a replacement cable as that seems to be the cause of the problem. Otherwise, it's time to go look at replacement headphones. I remember the Audio-Technica M50x being recommended a whole lot. They seem very nice and highly rated. The 3 cable options would actually be useful to me, especially the coiled one. Funny thing is, I could have bought it for $129+tax CAD because of a $50 shop.ca promo. I never used it and since the Canadian dollar tanked, it doesn't help that everything is generally more expensive everywhere/online. Oh well, I guess it's an investment that should last me 5 years like my HD 418s. I could also find a similar model, the HD 419 online and get that instead. Same headphones, different graphics on the outer part. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005N8W1MO?keywords=HD%20419&qid=1445501836&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
barely related, but I am really surprised how long my sennheiser 598's are lasting. I got them about 5 years ago and they still work perfectly. I've been through a couple of cables but the cans themselves work like the day i bought them. there's even minimal wear on the leather and no wear on the plastic. and i'm pretty rough with them.
My headset finally died a week ago, and I've decided to ditch headsets altogether. Could anyone recommend some over-ear closed back headphones and a decent desktop microphone? Preferably a microphone that won't block half of my monitor, as I don't have a large desk. Doesn't have to be super professional and bassy, just something that sounds clear on teamspeak. My budget is £150. Audio-Technica ATH-M50X is going for around £92 on Amazon, and I've heard a lot of good things about them, but I'm not sure about the microphone. If there's anything left in my budget, I may also look into getting a sound card.
My Palintronics GameCom 780 finally gave out after 4 years (plastic snapped at right ear cup mount, but the sound still works). So, I'm looking for a new gaming headset. Budget: Anything really, but nothing super expensive (i.e $250+) unless that price is justified eBay: Sure Country: Australia Isolation: Circumaural Purpose: Gaming mostly, maybe some music/movie watching. I already have headphones for that. Music Tastes: No specific genre is my favourite Previous Experiences: GameCom 780, Aurisonics Rockets Comments: If it's possible I'd like the headset to come with a mic. Yes, I know about desktop mics but I'm not sure I have the room for one. Also, for some reason my Gamecom 780's were so loud I had to always have master volume set to 24%, so I'd prefer a headset where I didn't have to do that. Also, has anyone else here bought Aurisonics Rockets?

[del]I currently use my (2 year old) V-Moda m100's, they were fine at first but my ears kept touching the drivers and even with the XL-Pads which I bought after a few months are not helping anymore it just hurts wearing them now. I was looking into the DT770 since they seem to be really comfy and apparently they have nice Bass as well. (Bass is not really important for me but a nice plus I guess :v:) Budget: 100-200 Euro Purpose: Mostly Music Country: Germany [/del] [editline]awsdfasdf[/editline] I got myself a dt 990 pro.
How good are Audio-Technica ATH-T400? I'm with HD 201 right now, they are ok, but not enough plus they are silent without amp. This is for games/music (electronic mostly (dnb, etc).
Budget: £100-200 eBay: Nope (unless new). Country: UK Isolation: I really don't know (see below). Purpose: Mostly music, some gaming. Music Tastes: Easy listening, occasionally rock and EDM Previous Experiences: Some cheap and cheerful earphones, nothing headphones wise. Comments: I haven't really used headphones all that much as opposed to ear-pieces because every pair I've ever tried (which isn't many in all fairness) presses my ears against my glasses frame making them a bit sore and makes my ears hot (the latter being more of the issue). I'd also like them to be wireless. Wires are great but if there's any input lag I really don't care. Convenience totally sells to me. Cheers folks.
what are the best cheap over ear headphones nowadays? the panasonic rp-htf600s are discontinued.
I just bought the Velodyne VLeve and VQuiet sets off newegg flash for $22 and $50. Gotta catch these guys on sale otherwise the prices are inflated to high hell but definitely worth it at the discounted price point.
Budget: 80 euros eBay: Preferable not Country: Netherlands Isolation: Suitable to block out sources from outside (mostly to spite my mom and to block out the AC in the summers) Purpose: Daily driver for my computer usage, combination of gaming and lots of music Music Tastes: Easy listening; ranging from Avicii or anything else that interests me. Previous Experiences: Philips SHP2000s: cheap, but headphones with decent audio quality in my opinion but insufficient build quality as I'm quite clumsy with my headphones Comments Replaceable cord would be great; I've had cases of damaged cables earlier and honestly I'm too lazy to deal with soldering new cables together. These will be headphones that I'll be using nearly constantly while I use my computer.
Budget: Anything under $85 eBay: Yes Country: USA Isolation: Closed, Circumaural, Supra-aural Purpose: Music, Gaming, Youtube (music is a priority) Music Tastes: Rock, flamenco and latin music, jazz fusion Previous Experiences: Logitech H390. which broke after 3 weeks, and Sony zx100 Comments: Not much, really. Built in mic preferred but not needed.
New budget, $<100. Surround preferably.
Budget: £100-150 eBay: Nty Country: UK Isolation: Closed and Circumuaral Purpose: Music, Video watching and Gaming and ASMR videos Music Tastes: Electronic, Synthwave/Chillwave/Vaporwave, maybe Techno Previous Experiences: Steelseries Siberias and Turtle Beaches, I'm new to these things Comments: Needs to be fairly durable tbh, maybe detachable cable from the headphones and comfy to wear Thanks in advanced!
I'm thinking about getting some nice earbuds, something lower profile than my KSC 75s, for general daily, portable, out-and-about use on a phone/laptop. Budget: < $80, ~$60 preferably eBay: No Country: USA Purpose: Mainly music (sorta wide-range, kinda everything, last.FM link on side), light gaming, videos, etc. Mainly tunes. Previous experience: Kinda nothing with buds, KSC 75 for portable use, Sony MDR-V6 at home on the desktop. New to buds, not sure what to expect. Based on last thread's OP the Brainwavz M2s were my default choice but I thought I'd ask here cause that OP is sort of old. Also had my eye on the Klipsch S4 line (although I guess it's the R6 now?) Thanks!
Budget: 50-100$ eBay: No Country: USA Purpose: IEM's, I mostly listen to Rap/Hip-Hop/RnB Previous experience: RHA MA350, Sennheiser CX200

Ok so I have HD558s and I had them plugged into the front headphones jack on my case. They got bumped into while they were in and it bent the inside of the headphone jack as well as my HD558 plug. I bought a new plug and put them in the headphone jack on the back of my case. I started noticing that whenever I look at things they sound far off. Would that be because the front speakers on my headphones are messed up? Ok so I just did a sound test and though I can't hear anything in the right ear, the front headphone jack actually has all of these, except the subwolfer, producing sound in my left ear. In the back panel only the left and right speakers produce sound. So I answered my own question on it being the headphones broken or not. It seems that the rear headphone jack is actually speaker out, while the front one is actually the headphone jack. My monitor has a headphone jack on the side but when I connect to it, it has no sound. Should I try bending the headphone jack in my computer case straight so I can get sound for both, the left and right side of my headphones?
What do you want? Open/closed back headphones? Neutral/colored headphones?
He said he wanted IEM's... @Lone Wolf807 get the Zero Audio Carbo Tenore. They are epic.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/z88pZPs.png[/t] I needed new headphones since mine were lost in action, funny part is that I went to a camera expo and bought it. It was on sale sooooo I hope I did good. I probably should have bought these last year since I could have gotten it for $129+tax instead of $179+tax. Fuck the shitty Canadian dollar.

I hope this one does too. Shame it only has a 1 year warranty (I guess all headphones do).
Alternatives to SHP9500 ( <100 bucks open headphones that don't suck dick)?
Alternatives to SHP9500 ( <100 bucks open headphones that don't suck dick)?
Sennheiser HD 518
I have a pair of these, great sound for being so cheap.
Oh, i somehow missed it. Anyways, i bought a pair of a tenores because of all the hype and they're super underwhelming imo.
I have them in my ears as I type this (my friend is borrowing me his pair) It has a very balanced signature, but I would never call them "fun". I wouldn't say they're for everyone but then I can't think of any other IEM for $38 that technically sounds better. [editline]14th November 2015[/editline]
I've heard good things about the Grado S60e.
You have to remember though, Grado is Grado, they have a very polarizing sound signature. I still haven't tried one yet though. As for alternatives to the SHP9500, Audio-Technica AD500x/700x/900x.
