So my PC just tried to boot up and failed, it hung on a cmd type screen with a flashing underscore
it was sat on there for about an hour so I had to power down the PC and restart it
now when I turn on the PC, it powers up, stays on for about 5 seconds (doesn't even load into bios, no signal sent to monitor), then it turns itself off. Then it turns back on again after another 5 seconds and repeats.
anyone got any ideas? Can't find anything about this online, only the standard boot loops, this is more like a dead loop
I've gotten this once with a dead motherboard, but it could be a few different things. Is this a desktop or a laptop?
Can you get access to any of the boot options f1-f12?
If you can enter the BIOS, reset the BIOS settings to default.
