Ahh, you gotta love WINE development. They fail at every corner. Just about every program I run in WINE fails horribly. You would think after all these years the WINE devs would have something worthy of showing off.
Did facepunch tell you to get that? Because in for a while that was the build I was posting here (except with 4670 instead of 4650), it was the best budget build for the longest time.
facepunch did not tell me to get that
and I know that this was the best budget build, but my dads friend made that computer from used parts and the graphics card was damaged (some ceramic isolation was broken of) and when I showed it to my dad he said that it should be that way
Windows Vista 32-bit
Intel Core Duo 6320 @ 1.86 GHz
2 Gb DDR2 @ 333 MHz
Ati Radeon 1950XT 256 Mb
Runs games decent, BF BC2 runs on medium, but my graphic card is starting to overheat quiet bad.

Is that a Linux OS?
Or is it a Mac with a different ''theme''?

It's about 76 Celsius when in-game, is that also normal?

I want better...
Here's the machine I'm on now.

i5's don't support DDR3-1600, only 1333. You'll have to overclock the BClk for that to work.

What's the point where it would literally fry the card?
Windows 7 64-bit
2.4 GHz i5 Processor
4.0 GB DDR3 RAM (Windows 7 can only use like, 3.6 of this)
ATi Radeon 4570 512 MB (God, this sucks)
320 GB HDD
----------
Keep in mind that this is an 800$ laptop I designed for my needs. I can still run two Crysis windows on Medium at 25 FPS. So I'm not complaining. My silly graphics card is a bit 'meh' by gaming standards though.

If it can only use 3.6gb you have a 32bit operating system. It's not Windows 7's fault.

32 bit OS with 8 GB of RAM. You can have more than 4 GB if the OS supports PAE, which most Linux distros do and most Windows Server OSes (2000, 2003 and 2008.) The only limitation is that individual applications are limited to 4 GB, but that only becomes a problem if you're running some huge SQL database.
OS: Windows 7 32-Bit (I'm afraid if 64-Bit may cause problems)
CPU: Intel I5-750 Stock Clocks, Stock Cooler
GPU: MSI 5770 HAWK Stock Clocks (Artifacts + Crash for 50mhz boost?)
RAM: Kingston 2GB DDR3(Forgot MHZ, might have been 1333 or similar)
Motherboard: MSI-H55(Forgot Model, Onboard Graphics that is unused)
PSU: ANDYSON 530W
HDD: WD 160GB (From old DELL) + Seagate 500GB
CASE:CoolerMaster Centurion 5 II
GPU maxes out at 68C, CPU at 50-60 (I Forgot), HDDs at 43C.
Big improvement over my old computer which had a 3.00GHz Pentium D, a PowerColor HD3650, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a Dell Motherboard, PSU and Case.
Very satisfied with this already, runs games fine at 1280x1024 which is large for me actually.

Regardless, he said he was running 64bit 7. The way he stated his problem made it sound like he was blaming seven for not supporting his RAM.
