I use 500dpi and around a 1-2sens. [editline]06:21PM[/editline] Broke my automerge
I use 500dpi and around a 1-2sens.
High five, senstivity buddies. We're close, but I play slightly lower than you do.
To high sens/dpi users:YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING HIGHER THAN 1600DPI / 2SENS. The moment you switch to something lower you'll notice your kpd soaring higher and higher.
lolno
High five, senstivity buddies. We're close, but I play slightly lower than you do.
Yeah I used to use a really high dpi and sens, back then my kpd ratio never went above 2. Now I get around 6ish on a good day.
I use 500dpi and around a 1-2sens. [editline]06:21PM[/editline] Broke my automerge
What do you do? Move your mouse six feet across your desk to move a pixel?
I use a sensitivity of 5.5 in Source games and use a resolution of 1920x1200. Anything less and I don't perform as well.
Without knowing your DPI that doesn't mean anything to me :o
what, I use 2000 DPI at 1680x1050 with 2.3 sensitivity.
Which is extremely high in my opinion. I've never seen anyone who is consistently good at aiming with that high of a sensitivity and I used to play at something even higher before I got a bigger mouse pad and talked to some people. It's completely personal preference to a certain extent but if someone's looking at a mouse for gaming they should probably know that every good player who is esea main or higher uses 400-800dpi with 1-4 in game for source. I personally think that all of these high dpi mice are ridiculous and while I could care less about every detail of every "pro gamer's" config I find it important to note when people who don't have a clue are recommending garbage mice because they are expensive and have massively high "PRO GAMING LASERS". I got better at every game I play once I lowered my sensitivity and my aim was much more consistent; I'm pretty sure that's what people are looking for in a gaming mouse.
Yeah my high sens / dpi wasn't worded right, I basically meant what the guy above said. [editline]09:00PM[/editline] Also how do you rocket jump properly in tf2 with a low sens? Still haven't figured that out.
X8 or the G7?
without knowing your dpi that doesn't mean anything to me :o
5600 Even lowering it a bit, I found that I performed worse.
Here is mine Soz for quality it's just shitty lighting + phone camera. Mouse has 7 extra buttons. 4 is like arrows on keyboard up down left right, and in middle there is a orange button. Also there is a button just beside Mouse 1 , and DPI changing button. 5 modes. Ultra Slow (use for tiny works in 3ds max) Green - slow Yellow - medium (usually use) Red - fast Red, Yellow, Green channing all the time colors is super fast (2000 DPI ) I use this when I play assassins creed 2. Also it got side scroll. And you can edit on pc what each button does, you can also write macro file. For example when you press side button it will start in gmod jumping until you press it again or release it. It also is able to record actions and then repeat them on specific button trigger.
I have my sensitivity with it maxed in windows and 7.5 in source with a 1600 dpi mouse. I just like my mouse to move fast.
The lower the sensitivity the better man, I hate all that fiddly stuff where if you accidentally bump the mouse it does a 720. I want large movements and slow precision when doing small moves. I have this one movement I do where I jerk my hand to spin 180, if it's too fast I end up doing more and that confuses me, lowering my performance.
I don't recommend Razer Deathadders. I had one for about a year before it just stopped working, a buddy of mine had the same problem after about 8 months. Maybe it was just a coincidence but i haven't bothered with another Razer product. I don't have the money to shell out for a new mouse if i don't even know if it will last.
Technically isn't the best sensitivity windows default (6 I believe) since that doesn't displace the actual amount by anything. If I remember the best in-windows set-up is disable precisionclick and set sensitivity to default. Then change mouse CPI to suit you.
I don't think Source cares about Windows? At any rate I don't think 6 is the default, if anything that's the default of 3.

I just move my mouse very little and it works well for me.
I don't think Source cares about Windows? At any rate I don't think 6 is the default, if anything that's the default of 3.
No, 6/11 is the default and it does have an effect in game.
that looks so uncomfortable, i would not use it.
technically its the MOST comfortable, it can adjust to fit your pleasure... wait I mean your hand.
My MX518 has had ZERO problems in the past three years of constant use. It has no damage either and would look new with a clean. The only one I've seen with any damage is my friend's that he has used for fucking ages and the area around the thumb has been peeled slightly but I think that was just him. My favourite mouse Ever. Love it.
5600 Even lowering it a bit, I found that I performed worse.
I've used 5600 and I found that at 1.0 in source it was literally 2-3x too much and I don't even play as low as I "should". That's insane :o
Made from cheap, non-durable material. Too expensive. Shitty drivers. Worse support. Worse than Logitech by a lot.
I dropped my Lachesis out my 3'rd floor window one time, and it didn't get more than a scratch on the back.
I fucking love my Deathadder. Works like a charm and now comes in a lefty.
I dropped my Lachesis out my 3'rd floor window one time, and it didn't get more than a scratch on the back.
Yes, that's totally representative of every other Lachesis in the world.
G500 im using one right now and i love it.
G500 im using one right now and i love it.
im stuck between the G5 and the G500, the price difference is 5£ but I just love the feel of the G5's texture :3: I think I will go with the G5
No, 6/11 is the default and it does have an effect in game.
What are you on? Source games have a default of "3.0" whatever that means. [editline]09:43PM[/editline]
Technically isn't the best sensitivity windows default (6 I believe) since that doesn't displace the actual amount by anything. [editline]09:43PM[/editline] I don't know, as long as the sensitivity is equal to or less than one point of movement data per pixel it shouldn't matter.
I'm not on anything, you're just misreading what people are saying. He said windows default is 6, which it is. There are 11 notches and it defaults to the sixth one, hence 6/11. Windows sensitivity does have an effect in game and you said it didn't.
I thought maybe Source polled the mouse directly instead of through Windows.
Just ordered the mouse
