It lags the phone more as it uses a bunch of resources to render it. I decided to use the ICS Beam live wallpaper for a day and it drained 20 percent of my battery based on the Android battery stats. It also lagged Nova launcher, like a lot. So I'll stick with my normal, static wallpapers.
In the home screen it would lag (that makes sense, since its running). But it shouldn't eat at the battery while the phone is in standby or when your in another app. Keyword being *shouldn't*, not that it can't possibly ever happen.
Alright now how do I switch it back to standard? Preferably without having to set everything up again.
Either you flash a stock update from XDA made for CWMR, or you flash a stock recovery.img.
Either you flash a stock update from XDA made for CWMR, or you flash a stock recovery.img.
I'll probably flash the stock recovery, I only flashed CWMR because my root state was some half-there-half-broken horseshit
I'll probably flash the stock recovery, I only flashed CWMR because my root state was some half-there-half-broken horseshit
Yeah, CWMR doesn't support the OTA format that OEMs use. In other news, I got a free Vivid, so I gave it to my mom. Already unlocked, time to root this sucker and S-OFF it, then flash the latest RUU and then a custom ROM.

Couldn't get Kies to go into recovery mode, but it was still mysteriously in download mode (and I managed to trip the flash counter when trying to flash a stock image) so I just reflashed (and checked auto reboot this time). Apparently I'm bad at reading because I downloaded the shit that would unroot me and put me back to Gingerbread. I figure "fine, i'll update to ICS through Kies again, update OTA, then reflash CWMR and reroot and everything will be fine." Nope, Kies refuses to show the firmware update window. I eventually decided "fuck this I already tripped the flash counter might as well install CM10".
anyway now that I'm a CM10 user If I ever get tired of blue how would I change the colors of these things [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] "go ahead and post twice", they said "there is an automerge", they said

Anyone else using S-voice on a regular basis? I love it, using it to make calls, sending texts and so on.
Why do many people like having a circle for a battery indicator? I've always thought it looked really weird compared to the battery icon w/ percentage
I just think it looks purdy can't speak for anyone else though
Why do many people like having a circle for a battery indicator? I've always thought it looked really weird compared to the battery icon w/ percentage
To be fair, it gives you about 3.14 times more visual fidelity
Anyone else using S-voice on a regular basis? I love it, using it to make calls, sending texts and so on.
Google now is by far better.
Google Now is the only one that gets "Show me pictures of Gabe Newell" correctly.
Google now is by far better.
But can google now do phone tasks?
But can google now do phone tasks?
who cares about that. You can see photo's of cats doing silly things instead.
who cares about that. You can see photo's of cats doing silly things instead.
That's the whole point of why I use S-Voice, to call and send text without having to touch the phone. Google Now doesn't even understand me as good and it keeps crashing, shame.
Anyone else using S-voice on a regular basis? I love it, using it to make calls, sending texts and so on.
I froze it.
Tuesday/Wednesday I will have an S3. Fuck yeah. Goodbye iPhone 4 and iOS.
Who has a HTC One X?
Who has a HTC One X?
Ezihk and I
But can google now do phone tasks?
Yeah, it can send texts and do calls. All faster and more accurately than S-voice.
Ezihk and I
Well, I was told that the whole reason HTC is coming with the One X+ is to keep up with the current hardware, which proves that the One X that I'm thinking of getting (Or perhaps, Galaxy Nexus instead) is considered obsolete by HTC (not really so, because JellyBean has just been released for it)
Yeah, it can send texts and do calls. All faster and more accurately than S-voice.
It keeps crashing for me, would you possibly know of a solution? Can you repair or something?
Why does Xbox Smartglass not support the nexus 7? Like surely that would be one of the main things to make it do. Fucking microsoft.
The internet ruined me. I'm sorry :v:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33317576&postcount=8 [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] it was literally the first google result for it man
Why would I google for it when the play website says n u can not have. Fucking microsoft (but thanks).
I can't even buy GTA 3 because none of my devices (my sister's shitty Wildfire and my slightly less shitty Huawei U8650) aren't compatible. Fucking Gingerbread, i hate you so much.
Google now is by far better.
I'd use Google Now if it didn't crash on my phone whenever I try to use it.
My first app was SwiftKey X, best purchase ever. It was 10 cents and I had a prepaid credit card anyways. I never bought so many apps in one day in my life. [editline]28th October 2012[/editline]
haha the truth is im too lazy to go get a cc. and i also find it bullshit that google and amazon don't take paypal (even though they have their valid reasons) [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] because it's a dumb as fuck retarded shit compatibility detection thing i got that on so many things i learned to never trust it unless it's a tegra-only app or something [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] is there a way for me to use a minipro as a bluetooth controller so i can play GTA? :v: that sexy keyboard mmm oh yeh babe [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] fuck yeah it's playable [t]http://i.imgur.com/A97HQ.png[/t] [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] gonna see if it runs it at 720
You hae a mini pro, the hell when did you get that?
