Wait, is the Nexus 4 going to be on Canada's Google Play? I know the Galaxy Nexus was for a while and then got removed for some reason
If it got removed recently, it's simply because it was discontinued.
Wait, is the Nexus 4 going to be on Canada's Google Play? The Gnexus basically got discontinued on the USA Play Store.
If it got removed recently, it's simply because it was discontinued.
No, I mean for like the past 6 months. You had to have someone in the US buy one and ship it to you. But I might actually buy a Nexus 4 if it's still on the Play Store in May.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2012/nov/05/nexus-10-review Interesting, no performance issues reported here.
Yah but performance is hard to judge. What is this reviewer's standard for good performance? Could they even tell their device was running abnormally if I secretly capped their iPhone 5 review unit at 45fps? I'd like to point out that the review contains blatant errors like saying it's a 16:9 tablet when 2560x1600 is clearly a 16:10 ratio. Another is that it runs 3D games run like a dream which is impossible with the hardware inside. 3D games are not running at 2560x1600 on that GPU. Unlike what they say, the Mali T604 is not "more than capable", it's not even close. I'm not trying to say that discredits everything they say, but it's not a review I'd ever cite if I wanted to show something about the device.
Oh, I don't know if I'm doing it right but I was using that FPS Meter app and went onto Chrome and went on The Verge, 60fps all over the place, even smoother on stock. It seemed pretty damn smooth though...
both the desktop and mobile versions of the Verge worked OK on my phone i didn't use FPS meter but it felt perfectly fine
It's because the Nexus 10 has a GPU that should be running a 1280x800 display, especially when it's an Android tablet.

I still definitely want to get my hands on the entire Nexus family. I'm buying the N7 and most likely N4 as well (still waiting for some user experiences and final Android 4.2 before deciding), no real interest to own an N10, but I absolutely want to try one out.
let me post this gif again
let me post this gif again
Video plz
Video plz
http://youtu.be/Dt1ZKiZaem8?t=1m18s edit: Again, this behavior can (it fucking should) be improved by a final version of Android 4.2 and that review was possibly made on an older Chrome release. And to be honest, The Verge is not exactly perfect even on desktop computers.
-snip-
It's Chrome, it can be fixed.
http://www.theverge.com/2012/11/2/3590542/nexus-4-camera-samples#3892327 Ok, from this gallery I'm convinced that the photos the N4 takes can look very good (except for the fucked up photospheres), but the video recording is currently my main issue. It looked so bad.
The Verge made Opera crash on me. Whoever's responsible behind it's code development & maintenance should get the boot
Those photos are all noisy and unfocused.
Still looks better than most photos from my SGS2 running CM10 (yes, I know CM10 is likely the problem, but I refuse to go back to touchwiz)
The Verge made Opera crash on me. Whoever's responsible behind it's code development & maintenance should get the boot
It's all the like buttons, other than that the page is pretty okay
The Verge made Opera crash on me. There are free apps that do it 100x better.
Holy shit you guys, so I started to use WiFi Keyboard and holy shit it works and there isn't a whole lot of lag, brb gunna see if it works in games and such...
Holy shit you guys, so I started to use WiFi Keyboard and holy shit it works and there isn't a whole lot of lag, brb gunna see if it works in games and such...
I got an app for my iphone that did that 2 years ago. It was stupid and useless.
I got an app for my iphone that did that 2 years ago. It was stupid and useless.
Well this is the first time I used it so I guess it has been around for a while at least. Either way it is useful because it makes typing faster since it's faster than my SwiftKey and I like the keyboard on my computer and I never use the physical keyboard on my phone. I find it cool...
Oh jeez that's interesting because that sums up perfectly how I feel about the Google engineers that develop Chrome for Android and then decided it was fast and stable enough to be their stock browser on their tablets.
Yeah, Chrome is horrible on Android. The stock ICS browser is better, though lacking in functions.
Yeah, Chrome is horrible on Android. The stock ICS browser is better, though lacking in functions.
I like the sync and everything but it lags like crazy so I'd rather stick with stock. So far it's much smoother but it isn't that great. Now only if I can get the stock browser to have some buttons like Chrome, such as the first line you get when you press the menu button: back, forward and bookmark button.
Now which app would this be?
