actually, AOSP on HTC Vivid runs at 2 billion megaFPS!
so it only lags half of the time then?
If any of you like pinball, the best one I've found so far is Pinball Arcade. It's 3D, the physics are realistic, and the scale is realistic (ball size to flipper size to table size ratio), since they're actually modelled on real tables. You have to pay for each table, but you get to play the featured table for free (which is No Good Gofers this month).
EDIT: Oh and it even runs well on my horrible Snapdargon S3 phone.
EDIT: Actually, you can play more than one table for free, but you can only play the others on demo mode, where it ends the game if you beat the preset high score.
I'm really getting used to an alphanumeric keypad V:v:V

I chose the wrong time to use a shit phone for a while, as giffgaff are having to do maintenance on their 2g network, meaning half my texts don't send receive and I never notice :l
I've had an android for ages
installed nothing on it, used it for nothing other than music
what should I put on it
also it's not some fuck off $800 phone so suggest accordingly
What phone is it?
HTC have left a sour taste in my mouth after the experience with my desire Z and my GF's desire, admittedly they are older products
Blame Sense for the slowness.
There's some unofficial CM9 version for it that is stable, but lacks cifs.ko
And a unstable CM10 based version that's smooth, but some apps might force close on you.
And the rooting procedure is long and tedious.
So HTC returned my phone.
They replaced the top half, so the touch screen works but they put the wrong fucking coloured part on it.
So the phone now has a grey top, and a weird brown/grey bottom, not to mention the bottom was damaged anyway so now it's probably worth more as a paperweight :v:

My phone feels like a fucked up experiment
I actually want to use his LG KP170 instead :v:

This...paperweight.. can be used till then, I guess seeing as it's not worth selling.
Getting the galaxy S III next week, anything I should know about it or expect or should do? First time having one of the nicer array of android phones.

Make sure to get the Jelly Bean update, it makes your phone much smoother!
I'd personally recommend not using the default launcher (the home screen "app") — Nova Launcher is much better, even the Free version :)
What's the difference between nova and apex? I use apex pro.

All you really gain with the Pro version is gestures, huh?

If you use Nova, root for Widget Drawer.

Nova is basically stock with some animations. Very simple, very fast.
How would I go about updating my HTC One V to Jelly Bean or maybe CyanogenMod?
I didn't find anything about JellyBean port for One V but saw something that there is buggy CyanogenMod version.
So what is the difference with apex?
Honestly, Nova has fewer options. I've messed with Apex, but not too deeply because, honestly, I didn't want to rebuild my layout. Nova will also let you import a good chunk of your layout from another launcher (apps and folders, mainly, but space is reserved for widgets). Idk if apex has gestures, but there's that on Nova pro.
From what I've seen, they're pretty similar overall, but there are subtle differences that make me prefer Nova.
So a colleague told me today that his HTC Desire Z was the best phone he ever used. That it's fast and awesome and everything.
I pulled out my S2 and showed it to him a little, his jaw fell to the ground and he froze. I think I ruined his mood for the rest of his life.
I can't seem to get the android sdk to install, it always says I don't have the JDK installed but I know I do. Anyone know a fix to this?

Why yes, please suggest my crappy phone.
Mt phone is a paperweight half the time anyways.
Therein lies the humour.

Honestly from what I've seen you've squeezed every drop of use out of that phone, we might make fun of you while we all change phones every week, but you've gotten so much from such a lower-spectrum phone it's admirable :v:

Minus unlocking the bootloader and using a different ROM and over clocking.
