Got a One X tooooooo. I really like it, beats my old HTC Aria by a shit ton.
Ohh I recently got a Asus Nexus 7 just rooted it and put TWRP on it.
Waiting for a good ROM.
For any DIY man Get your old android phone and get Stright talk's 40$ a month service.
Slap dat sim card in the phone and make that phone your portable wifi hotspot.
Got one too, in my opinion an amazing phone.. but the one x+ was released like, a couple of days ago.. why didn't you go for that one ?
Apparently the screen isn't as good, the battery is the same if not worse and I will never need 64GB of storage. Everything else is exactly the same apart from the tiny boost in processor speed and a slightly better front facing camera.
Also it's £120 more.
I can't exactly imagine the radio firmware being that..finicky. I just use the latest and I don't have any issues. :v:
Same. I tried like 5 and the latest seemed to perform best

The battery is upgraded that's one of the things,
But yeah for a 120 more I wouldn't do it either.
But yeah if you want to save battery life turn of syncing with things you don't use that often, I can easily go two days with my battery.

Yeah but since they boosted the CPU clock it cancels that out. That's the reason they put in a bigger battery.

Ah, true.
Think the only reason people upgrade is the space(They will never/barley fill) and the front camera then.

Or because they have to have the latest thing.
Hopefully I'll get the S3 when my contact is due for an upgrade. If not that, i'll be getting something newer.

Cite the part about the screen, sounds like bullshit to me. The One X has basically the best screen I've seen on an Android device, and there's no reason they'd use different panels for the X+.

Just read some reviews. I saw a pocket lint (i think) video that said the X+ had a much cooler tint to the screen.

That's a good thing, the temperature of the One X was too red.

Cooler as in blue.
Cooler as in blue.
I know what you meant. Did you even read what I just said? Making it cooler was not a bad thing. The One X was below 6000K screen temperature. So yes, if you put a One X like that beside a One X+ with something >=6500K then obviously it will look more blue. Even if it's somewhere around 7000K it's better than where it was because the eye is less sensitive to blue than red. It won't look as off for the amount of shift from standard.
They probably did proper calibration. Overall contrast is higher too.

It's odd how mobile devices can be calibrated perfectly in every area, but display temperature is usually on the blue side. Never been sure why, but even Apple's panels are ~7000K.

Customer preference. Blue whites look "whiter".

Egh, I don't know what's going on with the One X+ panel. Apparently they sacrificed max brightness for increased contrast.

Then again, might just be the panel lottery.
Geels FP app crashed my phone and my phone rebooted lol.
I remember the time when my phone crashed twice the first day I got it.
:v:
One S still worth it for 250? No contact, but sim locked(which from what I understand unlockable).

Sure, why not?

Goddamn, I hate how I seem to always post at the bottom instead of pageking.
Facepunch I need your opinion. I own a LG Optimus Black and I just got a chance to trade it for a Xperia Play. I really like the idea of psp like controls, but I'm kinda worried about future support of android, since ICS was never officially released for the device, while Optimus just got an official ICS update plus it's supported by cyanogenmod team and CM10 is almost stable on it..

Uh the Xperia Play was dead before it launched, with internals that would never support intensive games for the long term. It also has one of the worst displays ever put on a smartphone. Dim, horrible color reproduction, awful viewing angles. Would never recommend it to anyone.
LG Optimus G (pretty much Sprint's non-Nexus Nexus 4) comes out today, and I'll be getting one for Christmas (unless something more miraculous comes out before then).
I wanted a Nexus 4, but it's not coming to Sprint because the Optimus G is literally the same phone, minus the pure Android experience (which a little romming can fix), BUT, plus 32 gb of internal space, AND an SD card slot, and a 13mp camera.
Thoughts/opinions?

Actually the Nexus 4 isn't coming to Sprint because Google has decided making phones for their antiquated network is a complete and utter waste of time. Nexus devices with CDMA support have always had issues with Google rolling out updates.
I think buying a device that requires you to install ROMs to get a good experience is a mistake in every sense of the word, but I'm like Amiga OS in the sense that I'd never buy another Android device unless it was a Nexus because I've been traumatized by bad OEM firmwares and bloat. The option to install Cyanogenmod only worked to an extent because it broke playback for a ton of my media codecs which is why I bought Galaxy devices to begin with. If buying a phone to just throw on CMx is fine for you, then by all means go ahead.
Buying non-Nexus LG is like cutting your arm off. Even ROMs can't do much when there's no support from the company. The 2X only got official CM10 recently. And even then it's still buggy as shit. Officially, there's no ICS update (except for the korean variants), same with most other LG phones.
Optimus G might get 4.1. About 18 months from now.
If I was you I wouldn't be so sure that the dev community (or LG themselves, ha) will be able to keep the phone updated even though there's a very similar Nexus variant.
Hmm. I'm okay with LGs overlay, since it really doesn't look too different from stock, but I wasn't aware of these other problems.
Now I don't know what to do :c
I mean, its still on 4.0, which is still an upgrade from Gingerbread, and I'm liking the 32 gb internal AND sd card slot.
So I think I'm trying to say: hardware wise- I like. All this new info bout LG n shit- not so like.
I still like the looks of the Nexus 4, but it's not on sprint.
Yes! My Note 2 arrived at home now I just have to get home :v:.
My phone is considered as a top business device...

Mother of God.

Keyboard = BlackBerry = Business
Sony logic

I just might get it to sell it on then..since I got the Optimus for 80€ and the cheapest Xperia Play in my area is 150€.
But honestly, the screen is really that bad? Internals don't really bother me that much since the Optimus is almost identical.
