Fuck searching for how to root my phone on youtube, tried 3 methods, failed at all three, and other video was some guy saying he'd root, overclock and install a rom for only $45
Just for confirmation now, how would I go about rooting an i9300 unlocked GS3, I don't wanna fuck around when I get it, I just want to know what I need to do and how to do it :v: (would superoneclick work?)
After screaming and throwing it at the wall I managed to root it with viking force.
pls come and throw my phone at a wall

Just flash SiyahKernel via Odin and BAM. Instant rooted phone with Voodoo Sound port.
Also in other news to HTCs recent phone I made HTC.jpg
Well the 16GB N4 showed back up for a second and I managed to nab one and cancel my 8GB order. Looks like you can still get one if you refresh enough.
i'll give you ten pounds

I'm so glad I don't give a shit about the N4 with its puny capacity. One more thing I don't have to stress about.

I was actually going to get one until I realised how shit it would be to only have 16GB. Only changed my mind a few days ago.

Personally it's not a big concern for me either way (I don't have a set plan for what to do with the extra 8GB), but I'd rather have the capacity than not. The only think I can think of is maybe keeping some extra media locally for long trips.
According to AnandTech, the 4.2 OTA released today for the Nexus 4 does indeed fix video camera encoding issues!
(review here http://www.anandtech.com/show/6440/google-nexus-4-review/)
Fuck yeah, now I just wait until I can get one.
I think I'll wait till Christmas...
Maybe there'll be a 32GB model...
Pffffffffff
So apparently the Nexus 4 might not even be coming to Holland.
I am legitimately pissed off right now.
Well after I managed to order the 16GB, it looks like I wasn't able to cancel my 8GB before it was set to be shipped so I'll have to either take it or refuse shipment for a refund. Will the thing be out of stock long enough for me to be able to sell it for at least $330+ (to cover shipping and tax) in-person when it arrives?

Why be pissed? Just get an S3 and enjoy life.
Just got the 4.2 OTA update on my GNex. It's moments like these when I am especially grateful for buying a Nexus phone.
Also, it seems 4.2 isn't coming to the Nexus S. I guess thats that for that phone. RIP.

Awesome, so I've got my S3 sorted as soon as I get it then :v:

The Nexus S isn't even two years old. This is so ridiculous when even a Nexus device gets dropped after less than 24 months.
welcome to android

This has gone from funny, to boring, to annoying, just stop.

why
Well from a HW point of view, back in the Nexus S days phones were improving rapidly. The situation today is almost stagnant compared to that. Quadcores are the max for a while now, not even rumors of 6core phones etc.. What I'm trying to say is that phone technology isn't moving forward for as fast as it used to (apart from ridiculous increase in pixels while decreasing battery capacity. I'm looking at you, Droid ..who the fuck came up with that name anyway?.. DNA) so technically, GNex/N4/N7/N10 might be supported for a longer time period.

Yup but it's still unacceptable. There is no reason it can run 4.1.2 but not 4.2. The iPhone 3GS got three major software updates, why is Google only capable of providing two? It's not even excusable in any way because there are no core changes going from 4.1.2 to 4.2 that would make it not run. It wasn't even a big enough update for them to give it a unique name. I sorta accepted it with the Nexus One because of the limited storage but there is no excuse to be found for the decision here.

Sums up Ezhik pretty well here.

and you will not go to space today (i.e.: [B]there is nothing in AOSP

Also I can't get my Wii Controller thing to work on my S2. Is the app discontinued?

[editline]13th November 2012[/editline]
it's just that there are problems with android that google seems to not even bother trying to fix and it pisses me off a lot
Are there any glaring problems with the Nightly GT-I9100 Cyanogenmod roms?
I'm considering running one.
Also is there a recommended kernel for 4.0.4 at the moment? I heard about Siyah via ODIN, but I read up on it and it's been discontinued, allegedly.
