Yeah, I'll let you know when I've got 450+ euros to blow on a phone.
Do you not have <200 EUR contract plans? Or do you just not like contracts? (I don't know europe that well)
Do you not have <200 EUR contract plans? Or do you just not like contracts? (I don't know europe that well)
sgs3 off contract is about €450 now. [editline]time[/editline] Woo 10.000th post!
sgs3 off contract is about €450 now. [editline]time[/editline] Woo 10.000th post!
Yeah, that makes since it's $550 off contract here. I was just wondering about on contract. That's the only way I could afford an SGS3.

Going unlocked is more work for the average consumer than going on contract with phones that seem cheaper because on the price tag they slap on the whole you save this much amount of money but the consumers don't really know that they are still paying for the actual phone plus crappy service.
Getting a phone on contract just isn't profitable anymore, fewer and fewer people here do it.
With phones like the Nexus 4 contacts are going to either need to be more appealing, or they'll be a relatively unused service. I don't think they'll ever die but they won't be as popular as they used to be. I'd love to know what Google's profit margins are on the Nexus 4. It's a great way to control their platform, but just like with their tablets they could end up alienating all their partners.

I've never been on a mobile phone contract. Maybe I'm weird?
still requesting photo of hedgehog and Windows Phone 7
Taken with my Nexus 7's front cam :/
I've never been on a mobile phone contract. Maybe I'm weird?
No, contracts fucking suck.
I've never been on a mobile phone contract. Maybe I'm weird?
Here in the netherlands it's cheaper than prepaid.
Taken with my Nexus 7's front cam :/
I can't see shit on the phone.
Here in the netherlands it's cheaper than prepaid.
Of course it is. I think he means 12 or 24 month contracts.
Of course it is. I think he means 12 or 24 month contracts.
I know. I'm on a 12 month contract.
I know. I'm on a 12 month contract.
Oh. Well here in the UK if you get a phone tied to a contact they usually suck balls.
Oh. Well here in the UK if you get a phone tied to a contact they usually suck balls.
I have a 12 month sim only contract. No phone.
I can't see shit on the phone.

Dear diary, I actually kind of miss Android, the feeling of having a fucking computer in my pocket. Sadly, Android is really unpolished, and I'm sick of that crap. So I left! No regrets (well, if there are regrets, I can easily come back). Also IE10 keeps my tabs, which is quite nice. So yeah! Maybe this is not forever. Maybe I'll come back and stop whining so much. Until then, WP8 is really fucking awesome (Evernote sucks tho and there's no Dropbox) -Ezhik
Y'all just jelly of Canadian telecom's 36 month contracts.
I wish I had a job to pay for a new phone
ill buy you a phone
I'm still on contract because I was fathered into Verizon on my families old Alltel contract. Unlimited data and text with more voice than any of us need. It's pretty good. Also, why has the app quit posting? I just get the e"could not loading thread content" error.
im still paying for my s2 even though its gone forever
I have a 12 month sim only contract. No phone.
Well there you go. If you get a phone with your contract the monthly payments go way up.
I have a 12 month sim only contract. No phone.
See that's not how it works in North America. The ONLY point of the contact is the phone subsidy. So what you said about it being cheaper in the long run never actually applied here, unless the user really was going to stay with the same provider for two or three years. I'd assume wherever you live a sim only contract involves the plan being less expensive than it normally would be. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline]
Y'all just jelly of Canadian telecom's 36 month contracts.
I cry myself to sleep knowing I lock people into agreements that last for three years. People don't think about how long three years is when they sign up. But when they want to cancel and they're told it's gunna be like $400, then they complain like they weren't aware of how long they were committed for.
WHAT THE FUCK -If AOSP starts pointing toward Nexus 4, you are having a bad problem, and you will not go to space today (i.e.: there is nothing in AOSP related to Nexus 4) https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-building/-ymcoMuDAbA/discussion what.is.this.shit?
It gets worse.
I can't comment on the future of Nexus 4 in AOSP, sorry.
Uh oh. LG being dicks?
