So I transferred the guts of my SGS2 into a new frame, and everything was going well until the screen removal. It took me an hour to get the screen removed, and then I heard a snap. Surprise, the home key ribbon broke :suicide: Good news is, only $7 on ebay, and my screen still works. I just have to restart in order to exit out of any programs :V
What are you using?
HTC EVO 4G LTE
Anyone know if/when Verizon will get 4.2 for GNexus? I know they probably haven't even released 4.1 for it yet but I flashed a leaked ROM.
There's a custom Nexus S 4.2 ROM already, lol. Damn these devs work fast. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992411
scratch my previous question.turns out there was already a ROM for my galaxy nexus. nice
Anyone know when the Nexus 4 will be back in stock? My Galaxy S3 broke and I'm waiting for O2 to unlock my iPhone 4 (I have a 3 sim), so I've been without a phone since Monday. Somehow I'm managing.
Does anybody notice better colors on their Nexus 7s with 4.2? It looks like Google finally did something about the colors.
A lot of the issues with the colors are fundamental problems of using inexpensive IPS panels. It's a lottery as to what the gamut coverage of your device is. Anandtech got below 60% sRGB, Displaymate got over 80%. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
I noticed this with the 4.1.2 update, actually. I don't get the "after video" washout anymore, after that.
That's just alterations to how there may be different color settings while watching videos. I'd imagine the device has some "video mode" with alterations to brightness and to color and gamma settings. That's a good improvement because a display shouldn't be changing settings itself on the fly, but it doesn't sound like a fix.
Any great low-resource basic phone locator? Mother wants to get one on my sisters phone now. Sister is okay with it, as she is getting annoyed by my mother always calling her. Maybe you know a nice app for it? I really can't choose one from like 100 other apps.
If it's a samsung, you can use samung dive
Xperia X8. I mean, I could use Avast! but maybe there is something lighter?
Xperia X8. I mean, I could use Avast! but maybe there is something lighter?
I think Zoner Antivirus has that feature, and it's pretty light.
Google Latitude does that too, I think
Cerberus?
Cerberus?
Free would be great.
Holy tits, Jelly Bean leak for i9100 D: [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994313 Apparently it's like 800MB big compared to previous releases which were about 300-400MB. Fucking Galaxy S3 size leak. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/RNjzD.png[/t] Here we goooooo. But why is the status bar grey instead of black? Is it like that on the S3 as well? [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] Also I'm really surprised that it's 4.1.2 already. Was expecting that Samsung would release 4.1.1 and keep 4.1.2 for next year. IMO there's no chance for 4.2. edit: I'm considering using this if someone makes a custom rom based on stable JB with AOSP/CM apps. Having the stock camera again would be sweet.

So I was updating FP app by geel and it crashes my phone. Wow. In other news Mine craft pocket edition got updated!
So I was updating FP app by geel and it crashes my phone. Wow. In other news Mine craft pocket edition got updated!
Something similar happened to me a few days ago. I uninstalled and app and my phone restarted. Insantly showed the CM boot logo, booted up, the app was gone and everything works normally. Instant flashback of my first (factory fucked up) S2 that kept restarting whenever it wanted. Needless to say I had trouble sleeping that day.
So I was updating FP app by geel and it crashes my phone. Wow. In other news Mine craft pocket edition got updated!
Was it due to my app specifically?
so, probably gonna buy a note II 4g tomorrow
XDA posters just summed themselves up in one thread!
Looks like a lot of people who managed to get an N4 order in after they initially ran out of stock are now being notified by email that their device is on backorder and will ship "within a few weeks." Really hoping I don't get one of those, I got my order in minutes after they first ran out of stock at about 12:06 EST.
The codefireX team are already working on getting 4.2 ready for the Desire HD :v: https://bitbucket.org/codefirex
And since the Desire HD and Desire Z are quite similar kernel-wise, then I know where this'll lead.
