I'm considering between buying a Note 2 and a Iphone 5.
Which one should I buy? As I said before i'm looking for a device for gaming and watching movies.
give it to your girlfriend i'm sure she'll find an use for it
I've always wondered what the point of being able to turn it into a vibrator by holding the volume down key was
Maybe it is literally just for use as a vibrator

Gaming and watching movies? I don't know about you but the screen size alone of the note II ticks both of those boxes already.
Oh boy, Flinny just posted this on his blog for the Desire Z:

I'm a rather happy chappy. No download yet, though.
Might be late, but Google finally decided to protect their SDK in the Terms and Conditions. Now android forks must remain 100% compatible with android.
And Acers dreams of an incompatible OS based on Android are crushed.
I'm worried this will make OEM's skiddish though.
There isn't an option in the settings to turn off auto brightness and I have root, what do?

Oh my your phone is p bad.
It's standard!

I think all Sony Xperia's don't have auto brightness...
Anyway to get more internal space on a ZTE Blade? I keep running out of space so I can't download any new apps without removing old ones... (Installing to SD card is not an option because not all apps support it and apps need to be installed on the internal memory first before you can move them to the SD card)

You never elaborated on what you want in terms of games. Emulators won't work on iOS, but if you're just playing native games an iPhone has a better screen and better gaming hardware.

I'm looking for both actually.
The Iphone has some sweet games on it, but I also want to play Psx and snes games etc on it.
Well, if iPhone 5 gets jailbroken, you'll get all sorts of emulators.
However Note has a bigger screen which could be more useful for gaming.

Then the note II would be better because you can plug in an xbox 360 controller, or connect a PS3 controller with bluetooth to play the emulators
that's my personal opinion though

+ the controller plays some native games such as GTA III
Well that is true Ezhik, but you're then relying on jailbreaks and nothing above the Apple A4 has one for iOS6. Honestly if you want emulation buy a droid.
Then droid it is!
Can you guys recommend ANY games for android?
The mobile gaming in general is better on iOS due to more support and games. Android ports are not the greatest either. If you really care about emulation, get an Android. It's a lot easier than waiting for jailbreak

Minecraft, Max Payne, GTA3, World of Goo, Osmos, Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, Granny Smith, Fieldrunners, Gravitrex, Game Dev Story

Frequently check Android Police, they often have a "Top 50 games of the week/month" thing, but also other android related news. I often find new games, and deals on tons of things from them.

Angry Birds
Anyone get an Ingress invite yet? I got mine this morning and tried it out. Here's my post from the Niantic Project thread:
I went outside and walked around, I only found one portal and it was the fire station down the road. Once I go back to school on Monday, I'll have it open on the bus and see if there's anything interesting in that area of the city.
Here's some screenshots. If you don't have any portals near you, there's an option to create a simulated one. Which I did in the training.

Waiting until the worst bugs have been discovered and ironed out.
Though I'm surprised how short time it too for someone to actually fix up a somewhat stable 4.2 release for the Desire Z
Google's SkyNet Rising...
You need mobile data so you can play on the street, which I can't...
I wonder if anybody would teamview my PC and root my desire Z (with me doing the plugging and unplugging and whatnot)
Just gotta be careful that they don't fuck up my PC..

I am that incapable.

Virtualized winxp install and USB passthrough?
Virtualized winxp install and USB passthrough?
Hmm yeah I guess that could work too, I'll probably never get the motivation to set that up though
Oh my, after watching a few One X+ videos and even one with a One X side by side I have come to an amazing conclusion.
It runs exactly the same :v:
Although the Droid DNA does show promise, but I do think it's down to HTCs actual animations now. They seem so slow, not like laggy slow, but just slow.
so i just bought a s3 instead!
really nice
