why isn't there a 4.2 rom for the S2 without a metric shit ton of shitty additions.
I would never choose a nexus 4 above a galaxy s III. you know my grudge against LG. by the way I'm trying out SwiftKey on my tablet. It seems pretty nice but I'll have to get used to it. I'm currently on the trial. should I buy it? I've gotten a a bit sick of swype. in landscape the typing might just be amazing on a ten inch tablet. Haha, you can tell I'm trying it out by the incoherent post I'm writing! This seems faster than swype btw.
I would buy it on a tablet. but for your phone Id just get the 4.2 keyboard. A couple of updates and this will be better than swift key flow. seriously, I'm loving it.
32gig n7 $230 at office depot tomorrow
Is the Droid DNA any good? The specs look pretty promising but I'm not sure. (I'm on verizon)
the specs are good and it's a good phone except it's been reported that it's battery life is horrible.
every phone has horrible battery life, which is why I only get phones that support extended batteries
We are going to see some good sales this weekend. My credit card is not ready.
A heads up for any Sprint customers, the Galaxy S III is on sale for $50 today. I just upgraded.
I envy you. They wouldn't let me switch.
why isn't there a 4.2 rom for the S2 without a metric shit ton of shitty additions.
Because XDA. If I was you I'd wait for CM10.1 but I don't see that happening any time soon because of Samsung (It's a miracle that CM10 already works as it does).
every phone has horrible battery life, which is why I only get phones that support extended batteries
which htc doesnt but the droid DNA is apparently REALLY fucking horrid in terms of battery life
There's a bunch of app data in the app, Media Storage. Can I clear it?
which htc doesnt but the droid DNA is apparently REALLY fucking horrid in terms of battery life
HTC Vivid does, but it's the last one they ever made that does :(
HTC phones are kinda known for having shit battery lives, I wouldn't be too surprised about it
I think it's the HTC radio firmware that causes bad battery life. I've seen people with the same complaint as me, that the latest radio firmware causes signal strength to always be yellow on battery stats, even when it's five bars.
There's a bunch of app data in the app, Media Storage. Can I clear it?
Don't. For those curious, here's what happens if you do: - The ringtone/notification sound selector forgets about every ringtone you have, leaving you with only "Default" and "Silent". Rebooting didn't fix it. - You have to set your tones and sounds all over again. However, since you don't have the ability to use Media Storage for that anymore, you'll need to download a file manager that allows you to set files as ringtones (ES File Explorer does) [editline]22nd November 2012[/editline] actually no the second point isn't even working right I think I have to reflash CM10 now thanks

Anyways I've just uninstalled a bunch of crap I didn't need that I could remove such as POBox Touch and some Facebook bs.

It should rebuild. I'm pretty sure I've cleared it at least once on my phone. Do you have a "fast boot" setting under Power settings? I had to turn that off and reboot in order to rebuild the data.
Man, the guy behind the codefireX builds for the Desire HD/Inspire 4G is pretty awesome. For his 4.2 cfX builds he's going to add a little settings toggle to any modifications he adds so users can get an unmodified AOSP experience if they so choose.
What the fuck are you guys all talking about? The Droid DNA has GS3 levels of battery life, if not better. I don't know when that became "shit battery life".
Everything has shit battery life because phones are wafer thin. If you find a phone that looks like a brick I'm sure it will last days
Everything has shit battery life because phones are wafer thin. If you find a phone that looks like a brick I'm sure it will last days
OR it'll have a fold-out / slide-out keyboard. But yeah, the razor-thin phone trend doesn't tickle my fancy at all.
OR it'll have a fold-out / slide-out keyboard. But yeah, the razor-thin phone trend doesn't tickle my fancy at all.
Get yourself a Nokia Lumia 920
My phone is thick as hell. It's like 2 S3s thick and it has shit battery life.
Walmart is selling the s3 for 129$ and you get a 100$ gift card. So i'm going to be upgrading to that. (Its at 5 am though :( )
Get yourself a Nokia Lumia 920
No Android = no deal. I like to dick around with things even at low level, while still have a vast array of software at my disposal in-case I'd just want something easy for once. Neither windows phone nor iOS fulfills that. [editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
My phone is thick as hell. just get 2 galaxy s3s and glue them together
just get 2 galaxy s3s and glue them together
Quad core, 2GB RAM, dual touch screen, 64GB internal, 128GB worth of SD storage. :downs:
or just get an extended battery for the S3 because it's the only phone left that supports them

All I can find is that the $100 gift card is only available with a 2-year contract, but nothing specifies if you need a new contract for $120 price tag.
you obviously need a contract to get one for anything less than $600
