I dunno why y'all are talking about WP anyway; this is clearly an Android thread.
It uses Metro or whatever the phone equivalent is. (Zune?) Yuck.
I kinda like it, it looks pretty good and it's minimalistic. To balance out the WP-ness in here, I guess I'll give my opinion on MIUI: Pros: Feels smooth, everything feels consistent in terms of design, It has pretty much everything the average Android user needs (honestly the only app I've installed is Overv's FP app) and they're all flashed onto the nand or wherever so I still have +100mb of storage left compared to the 40mb I got with stock CM9, The lockscreen in my opinion is so fucking smexy! Cons: Some features (in the version I'm using at least) are gone, like the ability to have a live wallpaper for my lockscreen or setting my phone number as it is shown under additional call settings. Both of which I could do on stock CM9. So, to me MIUI feels like a great ROM for those entering the Android scene or those who don't feel like setting everything up; both of which I fall under :v:
Ladies calm down a bit. This is a Android thread, the not a Windows Phone thread.
Hi guys. Sorry for the question I'm about to make but, how the hell do I root a galaxy player? I've tried it a few times, and I still haven't been able to root it.
Please?

To me it kind of represents a synergy between Android and Apple design ethos. The only reason I'm not using it on my atrix right now is because I loose Atrix specific features like fingerprint lock and webtop functionality.

A lot of the nice-ties of the ROM (lockscreen, media player, etc) have been turned into standalone apps that I'd much rather load over a stable AOSP ROM. The other big issue I have with MIUI iiiis (putting on my tinfoil hat for this one): -It's closed source -It's developed in China Sure, you can decompile everything and read the smali, but I really don't like the idea of a third-party chinese developer possibly siphoning personal information away from my phone.
What don't you like about the Chinese, kid?

Flashed CM10 on my S2 - Google Now is very cool but it's unfortunately a bit limited by the amount of data available on google for the UK - e.g. train schedules are all present and accounted for but it seems National Express (who run my town's buses) haven't hooked their schedules up, which is annoying since I rarely get the train. It'll improve though - maybe one day it'll be able to detect you stumbling out of a club at 3 in the morning with a mouth tasting of stale crisps and recommend an appropriate taxi to phone or something super cool like that. As it stands now it still gives me a big old nerd boner.

Just got my Galaxy SIII today. Holy shit this thing is way faster than my first Galaxy S.
So I just saw a review of the iPhone 5 display by DisplayMate. Literally the same black levels as S-LCD2, slightly higher white levels. A 50 nit difference sounds like the in cell touch improvement to me, which means about 1400:1 contrast vs 1300:1.

What's up with Sony's displays? Reviews consistently say that there's poor viewing angles on the Xperia T and S, which I find strange when they are basically the best in the display business. Okay, maybe not the best, but their TVs have consistently high image quality ratings.

Also the buttons weren't very nice to use on the buttom of the phone.

So are there any apps that will let me take notes with a stylus? And not just the ones that put what you write in line with regular text, but something that I could use for math (formulas, graphs, mathy stuff). And is there anything that will let me write (free/anywhere writing) on pdfs and word documents? I haven't been able to find anything, and that's the only reason I haven't used my transformer for note taking.
